Depends on how much you block with aegis

99% sure they will add quickness or alacrity to them. Its really the only two boons other than aegis you bring specific roles for.

Yea, no way they are going to do that. If you play multiple characters frequently you can earn gold, use gold to buy the gems, then buy the tools for the other characters on sale.
The double glyph thing doesn't make sense. One is enough.

PvP tends to be a toxic environment to those learning how to PvP. The only way to get more people into it would be the impossible task of fixing the toxicity.
GW2 is a more of a casual MMO and those players tend to put up with less toxicity than those who play the big PvP MMOs.
The reward structure and botting could also be better.

Alot of it is getting the confidence to start your own LFG post. For most things just by putting up a LFG post and maybe letting map chat know I get my group filled. Many sit around waiting for something to pop up instead of posting it.

I command things to get the job done, beat the boss, take the keep, whatever. Its my goal so tagging up is just to organize. I'm getting my goal done so no payment needed.

I'm not a newbie. I have ascended weapon on two characters and berserker gear. Yes it's probably why I'm dying so often because my hp is 12k, but it's still really stupid.
I just ALT + F4 a quest in the crater quest in season 3 where the anomaly kept kicking me into the falling debris and getting one shotted again.Stupid kitten design.
I think you are missing the point of guardian. It is not an inherently tanky class. Guardian is only tanky if you understand its mechanics that heal you passively and when to use aegis/dodge.
Killing 3 veterans at once on guardian in zerker gear is easy if you understand the mechanics but it is difficult if you do not.
I realize you are just venting, but if you are looking for a solution you should build more defensively. Marauder gear is 8k more life for a minimal dps loss. You could also go condi firebrand with celestial gear and feel like a god.

In most raid content using arcdps self stats I am between 2-4k healing per second on healbrand. This doesnt include aegis negating damage though which is a big reason why a healbrand is used (among other things like stab spam.)
The better you get at healbrand and encounters the lower your hps will be so its difficult to compare to other classes

Firebrand and Renegade have been meta for a long time for obvious reasons but scourge is fairly new to fractals. I know personally scourge is nice in my groups because they do good dps while being incredibly durable (and giving barrier to the group.)
Having scourge(s) in pugs almost guarantees smooth runs with how durable they make the group. Its almost hard to wipe using them. Just makes pugs a safe bet.
edit: there are faster comps for sure, but the FB, Ren, 3x Scourge comp is fast enough with little risk of wipes.
People want smooth runs to maximize their time so the meta tends to evolve around that.

For PvP or WvW herald its between Condi (mallyx) or Power (Shiro) depending on what you want to play. Both are "ok" but usually you see shortbow renegades now days.

OP has got to be playing Holo wrong or this is a troll post. Its a very represented class in PvP and even the winning team of the yearly tournament ran 2 of them lol
Holo is an incredibly good class in pvp but it does have a pretty good skill ceiling so its quite possible to think its bad if you're not familiar with playing it.

an in-game DPS meter would cause more issues Socially with the game.
people are already kicked from raid/fractal groups for because someone is unhappy with their DPS output; making a meter an official function of the game would just re-enforce the idea that this kind of behaviour is acceptable.
Those people getting kicked are coming in the groups doing less dps than an alac usually from my experience.
I think the DPS meter would be a good thing, I have seen so many that are surprised when we tell them their DPS versus the other DPS members in a strike or fractal. It would be good so they can practice and get better.

I tend to run strikes with my guild once or twice a week and sometimes we will be like 7/10 and instantly fill in LFG. Though squads tend to fill much slower until they are atleast half way full.

I hate that heart quest just for how long it takes. Feels like one of the slowest ones to do.

Opposite experience of what I have seen in this game. Done all raid content (including CMs,) all fractal content, wvw, pvp (up to top 100) and never saw anything like explained by OP.
Closest is in ranked pvp you can get some sore losers sometimes that will rage, but something that happens in all games with PvP.
PvE side of things is generally kind and willing to explain things.
Not victim blaming, but could your attitude possibly relay some of that too you?

Bumping damage would be nice, but also the dodge needs fixed to be no longer than the evade time. It makes you too vulnerable in any competitive mode to people spamming area attacks and your char being useless in the air.

I mean you could buy a run for the raid if you really are just doing it once for the ring.
Raiding does take practice and if you're underperforming at your role or class (especially on Dhuum or Q1) the fight is going to be hard as with most groups every person is required. They are completely possible with less players but then DPS needs to be harder.
Honestly Q1 is easier than ever now since you only need to do one pyre. Coalescence itself isn't that bad to get, but you need to stay on goal and maybe join a raiding guild. I'm not sure what role(s) you play but getting into a guild with some focus on raids would be the quickest route outside of RA.
Personally when I first did those fights with my guild a few years ago Dhuum took like ~4 nights of raiding for us to finally get it down (mostly people failing greens.) Q1 took like ~3 nights of raiding (failing CC bar or not going to the right platforms at the right time)
Edit: Also to be clear, challenging content is a good thing. Please don't call for nerfs because you can't handle the content. There are other ways (i.e. buying a run with mystic coins)

Yea, if I remember correctly silhouette's for all other classes were posted by end of week (Friday) before I got off work every time. Engineer hasn't been posted yet so I assume they forgot or didn't have the graphic ready.
Lets hope its a case of save the best for last 🙂

Wasn't the silhouette reveal supposed to be today?
Engineer get forgotten? 😅 -
Unfortunately if you quit this game whatever multi-player game you go to will have griefing (aka trolls)
All multiplayer games have them, just the form of trolling will change.

Infusion's response is spot on for those two classes but I would add play what you like but in raids its good to be flexible.
Renegade is a good survivable class also with battle scars leech. Alacren or Condi Alac ren is used on nearly every fight.

Like they are really going to make any significant changes in 3 months. Come back to reality please. This is the company that takes 6 months to make 1 armour skin we are talking about.
Going to need you to reference what armor skin takes 6 months to make.

I got through on my second try, it felt somewhat normal but things did feel off (I probably do the tower like a hundred times a year.)
I've only done it the twice though so far, didn't experience any falling through things or glitches but timing felt off.
Well it was fine after release but I went back for the daily and got one of them bugged instances. The platform after the big jump down wasn't becoming solid for anyone in the instance. Relogged into a different instance and it was fine.

Nerf confirmed for Renegade, Firebrand, and Scourge with Expansion launch

Curious how they will do it, particularly with firebrand. Renegade I assume will be Condi RR damage nerf and Scourge barrier nerf while in DPS build.
