  1. Ahhh. I dont really know how many times i have to quote this. '' It literally says it is a game mechanic. It is in the game because we lack abbilities such as climbing, crouching, hiding, ETC. That is why we can go in Stealth so the game keeps having realistic features altho they are not possible in game. Just because you throw yourself in stealth after you use blinding power it doesnt mean you are under a spellThe Stealth is there to imitate the Blindness you applied to your foe when you threw the dust in his eyes. He could not see you. That is why you are in Stealth. So he couldn't see you. Blindness is the side effect condition that helps to enhance the immersion so he wouldnt hit you for sure. Throw feathers same thing they just have it more diverse so you dont throw only dust at everyone.As far as your Merciful Ambush goes. It is again just a mechanic. Thief could relocate you if we have the abbility. You could hide in near bush or behind a tree or under a slope or rocks or whatever. That is why you have those 2 secs of stealth. Also not to mention if a thief is really sneaky character you wouldnt prolly see him as he approaches the downed player so you dont excpect him to try and revive. Again imitation of real life circumstances.No magic here.It is all just there so it feels a bit real altho it cant be all in the game. Cuz data size, cuz it costs a lot and cuz it would take AGES to make and debug.I am not gonna deal with mesmer skill those are mages they might go invisible = magic. But thief is never invisible they are only either runing around you while you are blinded by their trick. Or they are hiding in some bush or whatever. But since game cant provide this they gave us stealth so we still have the abbility even tho we dont have it.

  3. Thief uses deception to go in stealth not magic. = They are deception skills. Shadow Arts — focuses on stealth and blinding enemies. Enhances venom and deception skills.

  7. Rework: If attacking foe from behind or side one Trick is going to recharge CD 15 sec + gain Quickness and Swiftness 5 sec.
  8. I will just coment on these two sentences since they smacked my eyes the most. Thief is not in desperaye need of tools that would help him to support allies. Thief always was, it is, and will be primary DPS class. Like everywhere else. Small health, big burst like dps. Besides it would not fit thief. Have you ever seen a burglar robbing a house with a flute? Thief has nothing to do with magic. Stop this nonsense already. Thx.
  9. I would go for something condi based i really dont care for the name. Just give us tons of condi dmg we can SHARE and SPREAD over other players xD so they go nuts about the 20k condi burst dmg xD
  10. jesus at this point i am not sure if you are so dumb or just stubborn. but you know what whatever believe i your arcane mage thief. the more you will be disapointed when nothing like that ever comes. And i will be happily runing around with my new condi espec that has completely nothing to do with magic. have a good day

Again nothing about magic just beacuse thye can vanish into thin air it doesnt mean they are magicians they can simply throw a dust in ur face and hide somewhere that is what stealth is for to substitute for the lack of enviroment or movement abilites such as climbing crouchin sneaking slow walking ETC. And way above I explained to you that shadow arts / shadow magic as you call it is just a substitution of lack of surroundings on maps which a skilled thief could and would use as hideout / cover to be sneaky. Also Shadowstep is just the whole runing in shadowy areas and bushes speeded up. It might appear magical yea but it is just there to make game more easy and playable.ALSO VERY IMPORTANT FACTDont mix Deadeyes with Thiefs/DaredevilsDeadeye is something completely different than Thief or DDyou can call Deadeye a shadow magician since you love to refer to those shadow ''magic'' things he has. But DD and Thief dont have those ''magic'' things so please refer a propper way to a propper class. Theives and Daredevils are not magicians. IN Deadeyes case it is disputable. But Deadeye is not a Thief it is Deadeye. So dont mix us. Get your things straight.By the way closing up case just because you think you are right before the other side has finished up thier part is very rude.
  14. You and I have very different understanding of a Theif. Where i come from Thieves are brutes and they dont even hide they will simply gank you up beat the kitten outta you and steal your stuff. In this game it is more subtle but anyway card tricks and sleight of hands has nothing to do with any sort of magic. those are pure tricks thus trickery skill line shadow arts are only adaptation of a hide and seek a combat surroundings would provide for lurker. We dont have bushes we dont have shady corners on maps we cant climb we cant hide the way a thief could irl so we are having stealth which provides for this lurking and hiding in shadows/bushes/surrounding objects. since it is MMO they gave it slight spice of being magical but thieves 10/10 are not mages or magicians or anything. game mechanics require some ability of hiding thus stealth because we cant do it in real enviroment where we fight.

  21. IT is true that DE is quite strong especially retarded p\p build (i made it up and ppl copied it i appologize for releasing the plague) BUT imo it is balanced well enough. My point is. Almost every class has some condi cleanse = makes work as condi DD harder (so far Trapper works fine for me in this case), Secondly most of the classes buffess their butts with tons of boons like i havent seen anyone lately who would have full might fury stability swiftness (not to mention Mesmers BLEH) Thirdly cripple spam every necro has, stun spam every warior has, bilions of clones every mesmer has, damn smokescale every ranger has, revenants blinds, engineers stun build, guardians that drop more burn stacks tahn elementalists. I mean dont you tell me other classes are not pain in the behind as well. DE can kill you quick yes but with all the defensive possibilities you other classes have you shold be able to withstand a poke from DE.
