  1. All of the other contracts are held behind "gambling" and this actually gets Anet something. Don't want to gamble? Pay 10k gold like the rest of us. I'd gladly pay 10k gold to drop these stations down for myself and new players. Recharging TP to friend is like a 300g item. Make it cost 30k gems and maybe.
  2. Weaver is also particularly trash to play without alac/quick, because alac affects attunement CD and quick affects your ability to get things out in each attunement before swapping. Such is the nature of a class where you need to press 15 buttons to do what a necro can do with shroud4.
  3. I just went and grabbed the buffs and thought "Wow, that was so quick and easy to apply!" - I was thrilled at the buff to application. I then saw the timer -- 3 hours?! I was floored! These are AMAZING buffs! Anet's team must be killing it! ... Then I read the patch notes. "90 seconds from 30" - wait, 30? That can't be right... There were some mechanics that pinged you for ~0 damage but didn't pull you into combat properly, and I distinctly remember seeing my little jade bot fly in over my shoulder to give me buffs and then fly out, watching my buffs stack up every time. Did they get a 30s ICD last patch or something that I missed? Then google led me here. How tragic. This completely kills the jade protocols. This is the exact OPPOSITE direction we should be moving. Anet, you had something good here with protocols. Let me tell you how to build on them: Revert current nerfs Make reuseable offensive & defensive protocols that only stack up to 30 minutes and cost no batteries Put them as ultra-rare drops in BLC, like the current crafting stations And that's it. And you know what you'll get out of that? Players will spend money for keys Tons of gold will exit the economy in the form of TP tax cuts Kind veterans will have more to give to the community - positive interactions with newcomers especially that will help them feel engaged New players will get a feel for how awesome buffs are and perhaps start engaging more with competitive builds New players who don't own EoD will get a taste of EoD and may be more inclined to buy it This would be a win-win-win addition. There is absolutely no reason to take a crap on protocols like this. They only work in noncompetitive open world content. You should be embracing them and giving players more ability to get the buffs, not nerfing them out of existence.
  4. Context: The various "Full Screen - # x #" resolutions are intended to lock the player's mouse within the game's confines. This is what separates them from "Windowed Fullscreen." Bug: Under certain circumstances (see Repro Steps below), the user's mouse can still escape the game. Impact: The mouse escaping the game can lead to misplays & clicking into other monitors, which can be especially bad for classes that rely on mouse positioning for abilities (e.g. Grenade Engineer, Renegade). It can impact PvP substantially. Repro Steps: Set your in-game resolution to one of the various "Full Screen" varieties, excepting "Windowed Fullscreen." E.g., "Full Screen - 1920 x 1080" Hold right click While still holding right click, move your mouse Your cursor should become invisible, and moving your mouse will turn your camera While still holding right click, begin to hold left click simultaneously You should now have both mouse buttons pressed, and your character may begin to run forward as a result Without releasing left click, release right click You should still have left click held down Your cursor should now be visible (i.e., your camera will not move when you move your mouse, despite still holding left click) While still holding left click, your mouse may now freely escape the GW2 screen - despite being in Fullscreen mode Expected Behavior: Your mouse should never be able to escape the Fullscreen mode unless you use a specific escape key (e.g. Windows key, Alt+Tab, etc).
  5. I rarely post on the forums, but your contributions to this thread have just been so consistently incorrect that I have just no choice. Do you even know how the WV functions? I have to assume you don't, or there's no way you would think (1) that WV would result in INSTANT inflation, nor (2) that WV would not cause substantial inflation. Just look at WV. It throws 500g of value at every player every season in the form of the legendary starter kit, and another 200g worth of value among the other decent-exchange cheap materials. 700g entering everybody's pocket - and the poorest players are the fastest spenders. How could you possibly imagine that this wouldn't lead to inflation? Or, better question: why would you think that the inflation would be obvious on day 1, when nobody has AA for the legendary starter kit & poor players are not yet able to liquidate it? Really boggles the mind how someone can think that endless free money can be given out to people and not result in noticeable inflation down the line. EDIT: And yes, just to be clear, obviously the exchange prices spikes during sales. This has always happened. Look into historical gold>gem conversions over time and you'll see that the overall derivative has increased since SotO release.
  6. I got kittened the same way. Also a Sword/Dagger weaver in WvW. Ran that to get time off of both Lightning Flash and Armor of Earth, both of which got buffed in OTHER game modes to compensate for the loss. Twist of Fate at 75s? Mist form at 60s where I can't even keep up the aggression? Bah, what a load of crap. Not to mention that Water as a traitline is already full of mostly-garbage that you begrudging take for the condi cleanse.
  7. Yes. And don't lock it behind PvE/PvP. WvW got absolutely no compensation in Cantrip CD despite losing the trait. And buff the trait in some other way. Right now, Water is already an extremely lackluster specialization (unless you're a healing Tempest) that's a begrudging pick for condi cleanse. Why make it worse?
  8. Why does Soothing Disruption no longer reduce Cantrip CD in WvW? For any WvW roaming Weaver that used both Lightning Flash and Armor of Earth, they just lost the CD reduction and got nothing in return because the Lightning Flash CD reduction is PvE-only and the Armor of Earth CD reduction is PvP-only. That tier of Water is generally pretty trash, and Water as a whole is pretty trash so it was already a pretty tough sell to justify going Water to begin with.
  9. This is still happening. The quickness buff is not affected by boon duration and most of it is wasted on the engage animation -- roughly 60% of it. For someone with 100% boon duration, this is roughly an 8 second difference in effective Quickness duration.
