The number of people actually working in GW2.

Well, the credits looked rather impressive for "too few people" working on GW2. 😉 I didn't pay attention, though, whether the credits ran more than once. 😁

And the best thing about it is that you can purchase a PORTABLE version of the vendor that you can use anywhere.

True, but the Wiki states that the daily items offered vary from those that are being offered by the NPC, which I hope is incorrect.

It's very cool, but also possibly bittersweet.

    How so? 🤔

  3. I have to say, some of the new Achievements look quite intriguing. Saw a scavenger hunt or two, so I am definitely going to look into those. 🙂

I don't think so, with the last mastery, you have a chance to get infusions from other metas.

True. Once per day. If you actually have interest in any of those infusions.

So, for Twin Generals, that means every time you hit something you get a stack of might for10s?

No, when you use a healing skill, you strike nearby enemies and get might for each hit (more on first enemy hit) and apply weakness to them.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work on Dragonhunter, though I am using Litany of Wrath a lot 🤔 , so I swapped back to the Relic of the Thief.

  5. Here is my quick list of "The Good Things About SotO":

    • The initial release was packed with solid content regarding maps, achievements, and an exciting and auspicious story.
    • The Skyscale mastery upgrades were nice.
    • The SotO expansion year has been packed with great QoL updates and features that were long overdue.
    • The concept art for the Obsidian Legendary Heavy Armor looked stunning.
    • (Edit) The Wizard's Vault is definitely more compelling than the previous Daily rewards system.
    • (Edit #2) I really liked all the new non-Kryptis story NPCs.

The entire credits at the end actually seems to compete with the update's story length xD

OMG, this is so accurate! 🤣

I also couldn't believe the size of the QA staff ("They exist? Really??"), and I couldn't help asking myself how much worse it would have been without them!? 😱

As an achievement hunter 20 simply isn't enough considering the massive amount of achievements in the game and with more of them coming out with every update. Would be a great QoL upgrade!

Here is my take on this: How about we start cutting down the insane amount of filler-content-achievement grinds that we have been seeing since EoD and go back to adding only achievements that are actually fun to do from a lore, adventure and challenge perspective?

That should significantly reduce the number. 😉

    Oof...

Let me start off by saying that the entirety of Inner Nayos should have been a single release, not being spread thin across three mini-releases, which were artificially bloated by adding way too many time-grinding filler events and achievements that were zero fun to do only to make it look like "more content". Calling them "major updates" was a straight-out marketing lie.

On to the meta event chain:

Half of the time I was asking myself why I was doing what I was currently doing during a fight. The center and west metas are the most chaotic meta events I have witnessed in the entire game. Tons of mechanics overlapping, you are taking damage from half a dozen sources at once and have no idea how to counter them. Having to read through constantly popping up lengthy tutorial texts in the midth of all the action surely isn't a good way to teach people the mechanics (especially when those texts cover 1/5 of the screen) -- it is more likely to get players killed, and they will learn near nothing from it for the next run.

Honestly, whoever designed these has no idea how to design fun metas. It looked like they were just trying to show off how many mechanics they can cramp into a single event in the name of visual clutter and chaos. Job accomplished!

Like for many others  skyscale masteries and weapon additions were the best part for me, but I'm sitting and asking myself- what's the point of getting the expac if I'm going to use those features in X year old content and the new areas just make me want to be done with achievements asap and never come back to them.

I stopped doing SotO achievements after Update 1, because I didn't see a point in continuing to waste my time on the most mind-numbingly boring map/story/achievement content in the entire game.

Even DRMs and Gyala Delve were more fun than Nayos...

P.S. The best part of what has been relesed within the past three SotO Updates were all the fine QoL features and updates. Thanks for those.

I know everything being black and dark red in the new area of the map is meant to be atmospheric, but I really can't see anything inside the buildings.

😄 Oh my. Have you tried using a torch or a weapon like Cobalt? Works wonders. 😉

I like the darkness and dark mood in those areas. The whole map of Inner Nayos should have been like that.

I wouldn't have thought so since it offers it for Tier 2 or Tier 1. Wouldn't be much point in offering it for t2 if it backdated

Wait, did we have another such achievement already during the last three months?

In any case, it doesn't make sense not to backdate for those who crafted more than one piece prior to today's update. Why should someone with only two pieces of Obsidian Armor, who crafted one piece prior and one now, be rewarded with 600 AA, while someone who crafted 18 pieces prior gets only 300 AA?
