Anyway, people are not just concerned about if the servers will be running. They're concerned about when the game stops receiving updates and the quality of those updates.

I think the quality question has been answered by the SotO update releases. It can only go further downhill from here.

The only stats that I can NEVER swap are Ascended Trinkets and Backpack. Right?

Only those with premade names. Ascended Trinkets that are acquired in Living World Season 3+4 are stat-selectable and offer you all existing stat combos, given that you own the respective expansions. Those from LWS3 Episode one even can have the stats reset if you want to change them again later (Bloodstone Ruby trinkets).

Is there an easier way of identifying core stats gear or do I always have to look it up in your link?

Core stat gear is that which you acquire in core Tyrian content. You will eventually learn which stat combos belong to which content. The last link I posted even has a filter to show you which stat combos belong to Core, HoT,  PoF, or EoD.

I have no idea where their resources are going but they obviously need GW2 to keep making money in the meantime.

This hits the nail on the head. All those QoL updates we have seen in the last year is to make the game more comfy to play while not providing any substantial, good new content. They don't even care about UI bugs anymore that hit you straight in the face (like each time you interact with the bank for the first time after logging in, which produces a big error message on-screen, but only for a split second, wo who cares? 😉). It is obvious that the game has been reduced to a source of income rather than the fun classic MMORPG experience it used to be.

this is like smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol. you pay money for it and then you feel sad about your addiction. so getting bored from gw2 and wanting something new is just healthy in my opinion.

I think you are oversimplifying things here. Some people have moved on not because they are bored after the amount of years they have played, but because of the drop of quality and quantity and them not expecting for things to go back to the higher old standards.

If I was still excited over GW2, I would probably be excited over the prospect of a GW3 as well. But I am not, so I couldn't care less whether this leak proves to be accurate or not. But calling everyone "addicted" who is still into GW2 and holds their account's achievements dear and all the money they've invested into it, is a bit harsh IMO. There was a time when I looked upon GW2 as my "online home" as well, but after too many disappointments the feeling shifted towards indifference. Perhaps the people who are still in love with the game just have not reached that emotional point yet - doesn't mean they are addicts.

What does the core stats gear for Harrier look like?

There is no "Core stat Harrier gear". These are the core stats, and you change them to Harrier's by the means I linked in my first resonse.

Edit: For a full list on which stats belong to which expansion, use this link: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Attribute_combinations

So the goal is: You get any core gear, than swap its stats to Harrier's/Minstrel in the MF.

im pretty sure lying to an investor is a crime.

I keep asking myself: Where is the proof for any of this "leaked information"? There is no video or audio recording of that alleged "investors meeting" (if it even took place). To me, it feels like someone just put random claims online and everyone is taking the bait. Perhaps it happened, perhaps it didn't. We won't know until ANet themselves make an announcement.

  7. The options are too limited. I, for instance, have not left yet, but I have stopped playing daily because the new content is not worth my time. I only do this and that on occasion now, when I have nothing better to do. So I think this would qualify as "I don't feel any passion for the game at the moment, and I don't expect improvements anytime soon (or ever again)." 😉

  8. You get the core stats gear that is available via several sources in the game (Wizard's Vault, Crafting, Strike Missions, Raids, Fractals, WvW, PvP) and then change the stats in the Mystic Forge after unlocking the Harrier's stats:

How do you combo Harrier's with Minstrel gear?

By selecting different stats for each piece of gear.

As for Agony Infusions: You get the ones without Attribute bonuses first to reach the required amount of Agony Resistance. After a while, through playing Fractals, you will have enough resources to swap them with +Attribute ones.

There is an NPC in the Fractal Lobby who is selling the Infusions.

  9. I seriously doubt that the secret UE5 project is GW3. And since that's the case, I doubt that the resources currently available to the GW franchise are big (and passionate) enough to provide a well-wrought, well-executed, fun new game. The current state of GW2 doesn't provide me with much hope in that regard.

This comes as no surprise, but the new maps for the expansion are so pretty and cool. With great events on them to boot! Love the new mount abilities.

The character design for our demon friend is so cool. She's so cool.

Thank you! A job well done. ^_^ Look forward to the future.

This reads like you have not reached Inner Nayos yet. We'll talk again once you did. 😉

If it was a completely different experience and genre with them continuing to update and work on GW2, I'd totally be down.

If "continuing to work on GW2" means what they have been releasing with Gyala Delve and Inner Nayos, even the sloppy texture work for EoD, then there is absolutely no point in continuing working on GW2. The game is not enjoyable on that level.

  12. Has this been actually confirmed? :classic_blink:

If so, it would explain why they have spent the most part of the last two years brushing up GW2 with QoL updates (namely preparing the game for a near-maintenance mode) and why they no longer release proper playable content. 😄

I don't want Gw3 to be an MMO because I don't want people to leave GW2 for GW3.

If the game continues to release only boring new content with grindy achievements/collections, zero compelling rewards and tons of annoying bugs, I don't see why a better maintained new GW game shouldn't be an MMO RPG.

It's an option, but they didn't enable it. If you want formatting, you can simply paste already formatted text, or just edit it directly (F12).

Just DON'T ever do that, PLEASE.

Most pre-formatted texts end up illegible for those using the dark forum theme.

bloom. option to toggle off n on is great. but after testing it many places, the game still needs bloom, so the best option is have bloom strength adjustable. perfect.

Yes, I am missing sliders for some of the settings, too. Being able to adjust the bloom level would have been nice.

The game doesn't need bloom, though. I'm continuing to use ReShade, my game looks great without bloom.

Here I am, thinking they barely change anything and we need at least 5 times as much changes per patch.

And the few changes we do get come at a snails pase.

Agreed. 1-2 proper balance patches per year would suffice, these constant little tweaks every few weeks/months are pretty annoying.
