I started a thread about this in the SotO forum, and Anet have archived all threads in there making it impossible to keep a 'live' issue open to further comments. I and many other players noticed when SotO went live that chests from PVP and WVW earned by players and sitting in their accounts had had items removed from them, players also noticed that potions taken out of their Guild halls had also been removed. This is not the same as the situation where festival bags also had items removed last year, although that is bad, this is a level above, as those chests and their contents take a fair amount of play time to earn, where as festival chests can at least be bought. Customer support have refused to deal with it properly, claiming they cannot 'compensate' players, despite this clearly being a Anet mistake that negatively affects players and despite them happily returning potions to players who had already donated them out of their accounts into the Guild Hall. The missing keys removed from some chests, they will not even have a conversation about. I have requested customer support who it appears can only do the most basic of 'support' pass this on to Dev's who clearly made the decision that created the issue, so far they have refused to do so, or even escalate the complaint. How is this remotely reasonable? I know De;s come here, I am asking that this be looked at, because treating players so badly that hours of playtime need to be repated to get equivalent items back is not remotely acceptable.

They are refusing to even look at it then? so they think its acceptable to REMOVE items from a persons account then fail to even look into ways to return them? How is that acceptable? those items were EARNED in game.

Why arn't they able to return them? and what the hell do they mean 'it's the best we can do' There is NOTHING stopping them giving back one set of pixles from another - literally nothing, yet it's refused?

I know, i reported it, you should too and anyone slee you know, i realise they are busy post patch but this needs looking at

still not being looked at, people with hundreds of chests not getting any keys, i understand them no longer giving out keys but why are people not getting compensated?

and stil being ignored and not dealt with, any item in a players bags is theirs, its rely that simple - them being in the chests IN the bags is no different to them sitting in the bags. Support is clearly able to refund potins to those who donated them to their guild so yes its possible that postions CAN and sholuld be returned to everyone who had them removed, so why is it being ignored by support?

Well tickets are getting completely ignored, its like customer service is being run by chapGPT scripts, everything explained and pointed out reasonably, people who HAD them in their bags should be getting a refund just as much as those who dontated them to their Guild, actually what am i saying they had more right to ensure items were not taken out of their bags! they had not been given away. Support just stating 'these are no longer obtainable in game' when we already know that.

Hello @RubiBayer ( not sure this will tag you properly) There are some of us with this same issue except our potions were in our bags and bank inside the chests. I am having internet problems with a new suplier and keep losing access, so have no ticketed in game though others may have but i have reported bugs. So, is this a matter of just getting a ticket when i can get in game without crashing? Thanks @Rubi Bayer.8493

This may not apply to any chests earned AFTER the expansion went live, unless those chests and the entire weekly system rewards have also been removed without informing us?! I have not opened any of these since the patch to introduce them, so i had a stack, having heard potions were something you could no longer earn going forward i opened a load including the weekly ones. I did not get even one key despite it being clear in the wiki that i am supposed to get TWO for every chest. Is this a bug? It needs sorting out especially if its going to continue causing issues as people do the weeklies. Either way i EARNED the contents of those chests and i need compensating for whats missing currently please.

I will start with that, its bad that you removed these from being earned going forward, however you at no point, stated that potions ALREADY earned, would be removed - I will for a short period of time give you the benefit of the doubt and assume its some wierd bug because you have been messing around with rewards, chests etc, but lets be clear here, i played the game for months, earning those chests AND their content, at no point was I told I had to open those chests. Yes i do 'currently possess' them should be in the chests. This needs looking at urgently, it affects many people I am sure, and whats more if i earn a reward in good faith in the game then you should not be removing them. So if this is a bug please sort and if its not? you need to compensate anyone this has affected with the potions that are missing, this is obviously a huge and serious oversight right??

I meant the Tower ones always bug, sometimes the Keep do aswell, I just manage to do more than 3 a week though

Thats no problem Linken, I just wanted to get it out there, especially as I suspect it will be affecting pvp and pve chests aswell. I will post in bugs when i get a moment, there is no way I am going to accept this, those rewards were earned and were in my chests, let me know if you get anywhere with it?

Also added defence of Tower and Keep apparently, you know the Tower and Keep defence events that have been broken since they changed wall fixing being part of defence? the one almost noone gets in the weekly achievements either. I think yours wins though😱

I don't know what to tell you Jura, I know its only a game and I know it may be a bug ( it better be) but to have several months of EARNED rewards just removed? Give it a push to be looked into, go to reddit and post there is you have good karma, I do not have an active account, get on GW2 twitter, go to Discord channels, hit up a streamer if you know any, this goes for anyone. I think its possible this affects pvp rewards too, not so sure about pve.

Do you mean these; https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Transcendent_Chest I am already having serious issues with chests earned before today ( items missing or removed) but yes, I just popped into wvw and did a daily ( i would have done more but the new system gave me 2 pve ones) and no chest, and it did not even tell me i had completed it, or that i now have to mess about going into the tab to click that I have done it, otherwise I assume you do not even get the vault rewards either?

Hey, me too, i have posted on the Obscure section because I was worried this affected pvp and pve chests rewards too. We had little warning that there were going to be changes, but i assumed as would anyone that what you have earned before the expansion came out you actually own right? I had a few months worth of reward chests, and not only have all the potions gone, I did not get ANY lockbox keys from the weeklies, and I have not opened any of the chests since lockboxes came in, so i now have a grand total on NILL keys aswell. This has to be a bug ?

Thats not main my point though ( i mean yeah great you can still earn them), I have had chests i earned over a period of time have items removed. That is not ok, that means I have played wvw every week since the new keys/lock box came in and every single one i earned is gone. I hope its a bug, either way its not acceptable.

I am putting this here because although i discovered it with WvW chests, you could also have other rewards chests or items that have been messed with or maybe its a bug so please check your bags, but it better damned well be a bug because if not i have just had rewards i earned over the last few months deliberately nerfed and REMOVED after i earned them. Thats around 250 ish potions gone and every single lock box key I earned Check your chests people ( pve and pvp aswell as wvw ones), check the wiki first to see what you should be getting aswell.

I always use the thread sticky, I suspect the idea is that you feel the need to check the TP regularly and end up dropping gems on items you wern't waiting for...

That's one of the most insane rationalisations ive heard in a long time. Is war not a problem? famine? I wish the kids of today would teach themselves some basic critical thinking because they sure as kitten didn't get any in school.

Crikey, I did think 48 hours after the patch came out that there would be some sort of response. What this has given me an opportunity to do is expand my awareness of other youtubers than WoodenPotatoes or checking out Dulfy, and its good to see from what ive watched that its not just here that people are unhappy - check out the GW2 partners directory and a few Reddit threads. Deroir and Inks were interesting... That said im not sure even their collective power and the gaming media is going to stop this rapid slide into mainly pay walled and RNG cosmetics, though I hope it does because my WoW sub is starting to look attractive when their next xp and classic servers comes out. I feel even more strongly now that mount skins ( and gliders actually) and more cosmetic rewards in general need to go into the game.
