Night Winde.2693's Achievements

  1. Occasionally I run into an issue where the "Account Name" field in the launcher is empty. This started maybe a year or two back but closing and reopening the launcher has always fixed it. When I close and reopen the launcher my account name is populated again. The password field always has ****** (6 asterisks) in it whether or not the account name is filled in and I know for a fact that my password is longer than 6 characters. So the launcher is a little flakey but I've not had a problem with it saving my credentials. Consistently displaying them as being filled in is the issue I see but with the close/reopen fixing it I never thought about reporting it.
  2. Just my observation on this. I selected the little eye on the Wizard's Vault achievement so I could monitor progress. Nothing. Then looked at the actual Artisan of Arms achievements under Secrets of the Obscure --> Horn of Maguuma and that was progressing. So I stopped watching the Wizard's Vault progress and just watched the progress on the Artisan of Arms achievement as I went about happily whacking anything and everything in Queensdale. As soon as that achievement hit 100 the one in Wizard's Vault was marked complete. This was on an Engineer with a Short Bow. Set my mech to not attack so I was the only one doing any damage and just spent about 10 minutes killing harpies and bandits in the area of the Vale Waypoint. So if you want to see your progress towards the 100 kills check the actual Artisan of Arms achievement. That one seems to track properly. You should get your Wizard's Vault special achievement when you hit 100 (Tier 1) on the Artisan of Arms achievement.
  3. Tried it for Nereidum. Selected to replay "Forced Hand" then waited for the spawn. Still no credit for this achievement after killing it. Way beyond 15 kills at this point, it is just seriously broken. Some people have gotten it but the particular circumstances that existed at the time they got credit for the kill appear to be so varied and random that it is pure luck when it happens. Was worth a shot though so thanks for the idea.
  4. Oh yes, this has happened to many of us more times than we can count. You get the volunteer option and accept it only to end up on a map that asks you to volunteer to leave again within minutes of having gotten to the "new" map. When I was doing the fishing achievements for Cod Swimming Amongst Mere Minnows every time I would get that prompt to volunteer to change maps I would think to myself "I know this map has a low population, it's why I'm here." This "feature" may have some benefits but in general it's been a pain in the butt for the players ever since they implemented it.
  5. Was meta going on or stalled? Won't spawn at all during the meta. So far I haven't seen this targeting issue but there are plenty of problems relating to those two champs.
  6. Back when I did it the second attempt I tried kneeling the entire time, as mentioned that does not work. I eventually got it by repeated attempts where I exited the instance to the character select screen each time it failed. Tedious and boring. As so many have observed the timing on it is ridiculous. The timing really should be adjusted so that Nephus kneels and stays kneeling for a few seconds instead of the down and up action that he currently does. So it isn't bugged it's just a horrid design. When I finally got it I was next to Nephus facing Peitha, I think I had clicked on her so she was essentially targeted, had /kneel ready to go in chat with chat still having focus, as soon as he started to go down for his kneel I hit enter. But I could just as easily have failed on that attempt as well because the timing is so ridiculously fast. You cannot kneel before he does, you cannot kneel after he does, and the window of opportunity you have between him starting to kneel and finishing his kneel is perhaps 1 second.
  7. I've been at 50% on this one for awhile and I couldn't tell you how I got credit for Vespera . There are two separate achievements involving these bosses. One is to kill one of them (doesn't matter which) during the 3rd part of A Record of War: Strength. The other is this one, Envious Reprieve. What I suspect but can't confirm is that I got credit for Vespera in Envious Reprieve when I was doing A Record of War: Strength. But if this is your last achievement for the zone (as it is mine) then I would expect if that was the case and you did all the Record of War achievements then you would be at 50% on this one too. Somewhere I did get credit for one of them but with so much going on and the fact that many of the achievement were completed by chance as I was passing by when some event was taking place the particulars of how I managed to get that one would be impossible to define. But I do know that I didn't do either boss before I did A Record of War: Strength so that was the first time I killed either of them.
  8. That's how we did it. I've tagged up and helped multiple groups through that particular event for the sole purpose of getting them that achievement. I've had numerous people tell me they got it. We CC the boss as much as possible and take it down to around 15% health at which time it vanishes and the orb appears. We stop attacking ANYTHING and all hit F to prevent the orb from charging. Haven't had any problems with it. There are two bars that show up when the Malignant Coalescence appears. The upper bar is the health of the coalescence, the lower is the power as it is charging up. The task is to disrupt the coalescence from charging up. The video shows the bars and what is taking place. The upper bar starts full, the lower bar empty. Need to take the upper bar down to 0 before the lower bar fills up.
  9. This is known and being investigated per this bug report:
  10. When the boss releases the big orb everyone needs to press F to disrupt it. It's like closing a Kryptis rift but you have a big orb floating there. Stop attacking when you see the message to hit F to disrupt it and face the orb and hit F. This may help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hatPVw_0ALk&t=143s
  11. Saving the Kryptis from the tentacles in the new map area is "Protect Koris from the tendrils of Nourys" "Find and destroy the tentacles of Nourys" takes place around the tallest of the extractors which is just south of The Blighted Pillar poi in the Defiled Cradle area of the map. It is basically the new zone's version of the same three events that happen at the Southern Extractor in the original Nayos zone. Both zones have an event to kill tendrils around the extractor, collect essences, and kill the champ that spawns at the end. The difference is which extractor you need to be at. Just camp out by that extractor in Defiled Cradle and you'll see it start.
  12. If you are opening the one on the Celestial Control Ring first then it isn't that the other two didn't reset, it's that once you open one the other two get marked as open. Try going to Crystal Pool first, open that then go to Celestial Control Ring and you'll find that one is now blue as if you'd opened it.
  13. Confirmed. I do all of the Greater Arcane Chests in Skywatch everyday after reset and then go to Amnytas at which time I would only be able to open one of the Greater Arcane chests on the Amnytas map. To check if it was a "how many you've opened today" or a map specific bug I started on Amnytas today after reset and after opening only one Greater Arcane chest all of the remaining Greater Arcane chests on the Amnytas map are now blue as if I had opened them.
  14. Frostmaw in Lornar's pass works so does the champ wurm under Durmand Priory. I got 250 in one late night of camping Frostmaw. It took me a little over 4 hours but you can sit around that long waiting for Triple Trouble to start with no guarantee there will be enough people for the event to last more than 15 minutes before failing. It might have taken 4 or 5 hours of map hopping and repetitive killing of normal wurms to do the same but that would have been preferable to killing a champ, wait 8 to 10 minutes for it to respawn, kill it again, etc. over and over. I suspect even at 1 Tasty Wurm Segment per wurm that would have still been faster than camping Frostmaw and based on the chests is how it should be working. We should not have to do this when many of us have verified that the Tasty Wurm Segment drops from not only Jungle Wurms but Ice Wurms as well it just does not give us credit for the drop. You can see it in the chest if you turn auto-loot off. Some people can't necessarily be on when Triple Trouble is taking place, specifically when it is taking place on a map with enough people that know what they are doing so it succeeds, and some people simply to not want to do Triple Trouble to begin with when the collection description does not explicitly require it. This isn't the first time Anet has screwed up credit for a collection not triggering properly and I doubt it will be the last but at least there are some alternatives that work. However, just because there are ways of still getting it done doesn't mean it shouldn't be fixed. Considering it took less than an hour for me to go through the Greater Arcane Chests and Minor Arcane Chests to get 1000 Arcane Osmogrifier Fragments the "oh it's meant to take some time" excuses don't fly.
  15. If that were the case then I wouldn't be seeing drops from the normal Jungle Wurms. The normal wurms drop a chest, the chest contains a Tasty Wurm Segment that has an icon like a steak. If only the boss and the champs during Triple Trouble were supposed to count the achievement should have specified as such instead of saying the higher level wurms will drop more items. This is broken, it's as simple as that.
