OP is talking about dodgejumping as in combining jump+dodge in one move.

Indeed. Well I guess we can thereby conclude that a 16:10 aspect ratio (and possibly others) is from now on not officially supported in this game, and since we're such a small group, if the Steam hardware survey is anything to go by, they most likely won't put the resources in to fix this. :'(

And as a reminder to see what the issue looks like, I'll repost the link by MorganOneNine below

    Well, according to this thread...

    https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/18853/druid-ranger-pets-ai-and-you#latest

...pets are incredibly OP. There are some totally clueless people over there commenting and spreading their bullshit like usual (worst thing about it, Anet have a tendency to listen to ranger nerf requests).

  4. @InsaneQR.7412 said:Well the bug was only really an issue after quickness became a boon. Before that we couldnt share it with our pet. So its not a five year issue really its a two year issue. It's not a two year issue, it's an issue since release. Even though quickness didn't become a boon until 2015, we've had the means to give quickness to our pets since release (lol yeah right!) through skills and traits like Quickening Zephyr and Instinctual Bond.

  5. @"jcbroe.4329" said:So taking the "fix the old before creating new" approach would be mutually beneficial in every regard :)

This is something I've wanted to happen for a long, long time, but if I would guess Anet don't see this as something worthwile in the sense it wouldn't bring them as much money compared to adding new shiny things both to the game and to the store, and it's a shame really.

For rangers, the number one issue throughout the history of this game has always been about our pets, and it's the one issue that seemingly have gotten the least attention. Even the new PoF pets have their fair share of bugs, and in the rather typical way Anet handles issues with this class, they went ahead and nerfed the Rock Gazelle, but left the bug with Fanged Ibogas "Consuming Bite" in. The first one was bugged to our benefit, so they "fixed" it (lol right!), the other bug is to our disadvantage, so of course they leave that one in.

It's things like these that makes you loose hope in the game.

  6. @Gaile Gray.6029 said:Fixing this will be a complicated correction to make, because quickness can cause animation problems

I would very much like to see what these animation issues looks like - video of it please? And speaking of animations, they don't seem that important, just take a look at Soulbeast skill Tail Swipe (that you claimed you fixed in the October 17th, 2017 update but you called it 'Tail Spin' there) - it has no animation at all! ;)

  7. @MorganOneNine.1025 said:Frustrating... I still have fuzzy UI text after the patch, despite whatever UI/DPI revisions were made. Should I just assume this bug is never going to be addressed?

    I wonder the same.

Resolution 1680x1050, UI size small or BIG = fuzzy text. Bug introduced with the DPI scaling patch, and it's been bad ever since. An official response would be nice just to let us know this is how it will be from now on, or if you are actually working to fix it.

  8. @"The Last Hobbit.6492" said:MMOs are about communities. If you want to show how players enjoy the game, you need to include gameplay and players discussing the game.

Nothing made me more excited about an MMO than this video for EVE:

There's videos of streamers and content creators talking about the game and it gets people excited.

I mean, hell, what did Leeroy Jenkins do for WoW. xD

Examples: Organized World Bosses (TT usually), WvW raids, Raids like the Musician Guild that shows how fun it is to fail.

If you want to show how, we the players, enjoy the game then just SHOW us enjoying the game. (And yeah, edit out all the swearing xD)

Yeah that's one epic video for sure, but then again, EVE is on another level when it comes to these things. Still, worth getting some inspiration from!

  9. I don't care much for jumping puzzles tbh even though I've done most of them, and I'm totally fine with being able to use my mounts to get the chest at the end of this one.

What I really hate is when content and/or items are gated behind them, like for example the Sentient Aberration gizmo, for which you need to do that horrible Sopor Titanum jumping puzzle. And as long as mesmers have such an advantage over other classes when it comes to JP, I couldn't care less if people find ways to get to the end in a more efficient manner.

@OGDeadHead.8326 said:I bet most people don't even use DPI scaling in Windows at all, but like me run @ native 100% setting.

    I
    think
that in Windows 7, the default DPI setting is always 100%; that in Windows 8.x, the default DPI setting increases to 125% when the vertical resolution is more than 1080; and that in Windows 10, the default increases to 125% when the vertical resolution is 1080 or more.

    Thanks for the information!

  11. Actually, in my case when we talk about blurry ui text, the dpi checkbox on or off makes no difference whatsoever. Come to think of it, nothing at all happens when i turn it on or off, so I'm not even sure what that setting is supposed to do.All I know is that ever since this Halloween patch was introduced, me and many others suffer from blurry ui text when using an interface size other than normal.
