    I'm glad they took the time to make it functional, especially so quickly after launch, but the Catalyst is overdesigned nonsense that has too much going on and cuts not are an option, they are an absolute necessity, and elemental empowerment would probably be the best thing to cut, just roll 60-70% of that damage in base and call it good.

     

    It gives more than damage.

  2. Did not nerf Firebrand enough, and killed off Warriors in WvW.

    The Catalyst changes also make it feel like you are using two different weapons when you use the Hammer in PvE or WvW/PvP.  They really need to standardise orb duration and sphere cooldown.  Having the orbs last twice as long in PvE makes it very hard to properly play both WvW and PvE.  Well, Catalyst is still junk in WvW, so maybe it does not matter...

    Also, they did not buff Spectacular Sphere to make up for the massive nerf the sphere change gave it, and did nothing to the other horrible traits to make them sustainable😞

    Agreed.  Condition damage for Catalyst is also rubbish 😞

    Hammer 3 would be the jade sphere deployment. No energy thing just on a cooldown

    Edit: F5 would still have use as the grand finale

  5. Here are some ideas to make Hammer suck less, and to not have to rely on those horrendous button 3 skills so much (which I am sure you are changing):

     

    Fire 1 needs some form of AoE or pierce

    Fire 2 needs more burn

    Fire 4 should cleanse per target burning

    Fire 5 needs more range

     

    Air 1 needs damage and AoE

    Air 4 needs to not kill the user

    Air 5 needs to be faster

     

    Earth 1 needs bleed and slightly more range/AoE

    Earth 2 needs more condition damage

    Earth 5 needs more range and should probably be a 600 range leap

     

    Water 1 needs slightly more range and chill on hit

    Water 2 needs more damage, a proper animation, and a big final hit

    Water 4 needs to heal without having to hit its target

  6. It currently lacks:

    - Identity outside of the Hammer

    - Damage

    - Usability (Hammer)

    - Sustainability and Survivability, both against condition damage and strike damage

    - Innovative and fun traits and utilities

    - Anti-break bar

    - Aegis, AoE reflect and the other vital utility brought up other professions

    These cannot be covered by minor number tweaks, but please do not hold off until the end of June.
