I officially applied to Remnants of Hope just over a year ago, and what a year it has been! I am so thrilled to have found my MMO home after bouncing between various games and guilds for so long. It is great to have played long enough to have found my footing a little bit in Guild Wars 2, and massive credit goes to RoH for holding my interest in the game. Having an active, friendly, chatty, engaged membership has made logging on and throwing myself into events such a blast. We have web forums and an active Discord, and friendly people who are knowledgeable in every aspect of the game and always ready and willing to answer questions (questions I should have figured out a decade ago ngl 😅). Welcome back to the game! I hear ya, I have been playing since launch but only haphazardly so I’m only just starting to find my feet. I want to echo Skaal and say that Remnants of Hope is worth checking out. I am a trans man and came back to guild wars 2 after a failed attempt at getting back into WoW. I planned to hold off on finding a guild, but I stumbled across a RoH recruitment post and couldn’t help but apply. Part of what drew me in was the strong focus on LGBTQ inclusion by a community that’s not geared directly to us. I think that’s incredibly rare to see at all, and certainly rare to see a non-LGBTQ focused community succeed in carving out a truly welcoming space for us. But I have been continuously impressed by RoH’s welcoming nature and have felt at home here since I joined in October. We do pretty much everything from living world and map completion events to WvW, sPvP and raids/strikes. Whatever activities you’re looking for, you are sure to find others doing that at RoH, or at least people willing to give it a shot! I'm a newly-minted member and recently returned to GW2. This has already been one of the best experiences I've had joining a guild in an MMO. The guild is exceptionally active, with enough people around for a variety of events depending on your interests. Everyone has been warm, welcoming and helpful, willing to take the time to provide information as well as help you get things done in game. The discord and the guild forum are bustling as well. Overall, RoH has made it a lot easier for me to get back into the game and enhanced my experience. I'm very happy to have found you all and I encourage anyone who is curious to check it out!
