  1. In previous years, there was a spot that was much more towards the middle near a tree root that would also kill one, and that definitely seems to have been fixed this year. Also the visible lava puddle over by the balloon stand doesn't seem to kill one either, or at least I couldn't get it to trigger. So it does seem that a bit of polish has happened. 😄
  2. Disclaimer: I am well aware that the April 1st patch notes are, always have been, and always will be, a fantastic series of jokes. But hear me out. When I saw: Fixed an outcropping of land that was unintentionally killing players in Super Adventure Box's Tribulation Mode. We know, "how would someone even have known the difference?" I immediately thought of one spot in trib mode where one does seem to be killed by a bug. You see, there's always been a patch of grass in 1.2 in the area after the first checkpoint, between the lava rocks and the checkpoint cloud, over by where you pick up the balloon. And this grass kills you. There's no spikes, no lava, no reason why one should die. That's not normal trib mode behavior. My solution has been to either stick to the roots there as much as I can to avoid it, or skip that balloon entirely and avoid the area. So I read that and thought to myself "did they actually slip a real one in there, did they fix that this year? I have to go check." So I ran on in and raced to the spot, heart aflutter. Walked around a bunch, and sure enough, the patch of grass that used to kill me no longer did! Fantastic... or so I thought. Because, you see friends, when I went to continue onward, lulled into a false sense of security by this lovely development... a new, previously safe patch of grass in that area killed me instead. They.... they moved the bugged deathgrass over. A GIF image of the treacherous deathgrass I can't even complain because this feels very in line with the spirit of Tribulation mode. Cheers.
  3. I used to have this issue as well. If I idled during the countdown after finishing a SAB zone (about 30 seconds, tops), I would be booted to the character select screen. It also used to happen in raid instances while waiting for a squad to ready up, after a quite short idle time as well. So I got in the habit of continually jumping while waiting. Never happened to me in open world, only SAB and raid instances, which implies that it truly wasn't anything on my end, as far as I could figure out. I currently know of at least one other person who this happens to in raids and there doesn't seem to be any sort of explanation for why. For me, the issue stopped a while back, no idea why, just like no idea why it was happening in the first place.
  4. If you're at the part I think you're at, you'll need the wooden whistle that you can buy at the beginning of 2.3 in order to knock the ice pillars down from the ceiling so you can pass. You can get the song for it during the level, there's a maze behind a bombable wall just after checkpoint 6, right before the first time you need the song. If that's not the part you're at, perhaps some more information about the part you're in would help. 🙂
  5. This isn't about someone being "offended." It's about someone saying "Hey, this thing in the game feels like it's replicating a pattern that harms me and many people like me every day, and it'd be cool to not experience that here." It's fine if you, personally, don't get it. That doesn't make it untrue. And before anyone pops off with the bad faith argument along the lines of people could say any random thing harms them? Yes, they could. But that doesn't mean harm doesn't ever happen or make the original sentiment expressed here invalid.
  6. I used the dulfy method for years and it was always very difficult for me to orient myself to make the correct jumps quickly enough to make it across. Dodge jumping is definitely the most consistent way for me. But there's another easier way in addition to that great one posted above. Potions are a stun break. The knockback from the rocks is cancellable with a stun break. It takes some practice and I usually end up drinking an extra potion when I do it to show people, but if you go from the first rock quickly across the second and to the bouncing one, and spams a potion as you land on it, it will cancel the knockback and allow you to cross safely. It's shown in this video. The rest of the video and other videos by that person have lots of trib mode skips as well if you're interested in that. Happy pain mode! 🙂 https://youtu.be/3olaW1DftI4?t=129
