  1. oh well were talking about the origin of the class, it was a healer fyi. Now its lots of things, you assumed i didnt know that, but i do. why wouldnt i, ive been playing guild wars since gw1 launch to present i dont care that its also condi, its irrelevant and im aware of it. SO that druid can just que up in LFR as dps.... whats your point?
  2. it was when it came out in 2015, specifically for raids, you could not raid without a druid healer or a chronomancer healer. it is a healer still, but has expanded to other roles, who cares though since it still fits into one of the 5 roles dps/adps/qdps/qheal/aheal its funny when i know more about it than you do. also another nice comment from the friendly community, thanks i think it hilarious when they say gw2 has the friendliest community
  3. i am educated about it. its not hard to let the players define their roles. again its only dps/adps/qdps/aheal/qheal it doesnt matter if you're condi or whatever its one of those 5, so you're acting like its SUPER complex but its not. maybe you should stop assuming what others know and belittling others to make a point, this is not that hard of a concept. youre actually going into irrelevant nuances like, stat differences and minor changes to builds and skills, its like really? Its just like every other mmo, if the healer doesnt press the button to make the heal go off, he gets kicked for not being a healer. Same with DPS, same with tanks. whats funny is there is no QOL to determine who is doing what damage or healing, because there are no supported official damage/healing meters, another example of NO quality of life for raiding.
  4. oh yah right lol you see the arguments in here, give me a break, no wonder new players dont look for raids, check out the playerbase so criticizing the game as well as defending my position is not being friendly? ok...
  5. not hardcoded as in they just simply dont say its a healer, but yah they are coded as healers, they perform as healers, they are healers. they're just missing the label. just add it and throw it in a LFR system.
  6. thats not true there are classes the new mesmer rifle is pure healing. same with druid spec it was specifically a healer class for raids. I know officially they act like its play your way, but its not, everyone who raids/fractals/strikes knows dps/adps/qdps/qheal/aheal, why does anet not introduce or define these roles when the balance is clearly centered around these roles. also thanks for the belittling totally nice and called for, what a friendly place this is.
  7. thats because they didnt use roles. people join and are confused as to what they should do, so they join with random pve gear on rather than realizing they should try to perform some role. gw2 doesnt pay attention to details of things. they act like play your way, only you cant and they dont show you how or offer any quality of life for anything. they act like there are no roles and when you join fractals/strikes/raids there are and it confuses people, maybe if anet held some hands and added some systems to show people some degree of whats expected it would help.
  8. no it hasnt u didnt make your case sorry. my points and analogies are much more on point than yours
  9. no the problem is you thinking that its ok to play a first person shooter without zoom in or a scope and acting like its reasonable because this first person shooter is different for "reasons" you wont specify. same with gw2 an MMORPG with raids with NO QUALITY OF LIFE FEATURES for raids unlike other MMOS with the same content
  10. its like saying are all first person shooters fundamentally the same, yes they are. 3rd person mmorpgs with raiding are fundamentally the same genre
  11. well my idea of LFR is less gw2 version of a public instance join and more of a traditional LFR where it shows your roles. (dps/healer/tank or if you want you can show whose also providing quickness/alacrity)
  12. i was doing a raid not a strike., i got confused yes sometimes i use public for strikes or LFG, i like strikes they're ok
  13. you're literally going to say that a game like gw2 which is basically identical to ffxiv, and wow. both of which have raids and both of which have LFR, that gw2 with its raids, which are the same if not easier and simpler than both ffxiv and wow, does not need LFR because its not the same somehow? in what way is gw2 raids different from those mmos in that gw2 would not need a lfr system? its like youre fundamentally saying LFR has no use in any mmo. i just dont know what to say to that. uh it exists, and people use it? and its helpful? so why wouldnt the same be true in gw2?
  14. only it would, as others have made posts about this same subject agreeing with me. so there it is. ALso new players always say about raids when they join gw2. WOW no LFR and then they dont touch raids lol.
  15. no im not going too. why dont you provide several examples from other mmorpgs including wow and ffxiv how they're radically different from GW2 1st
  16. same roles, same gimicky 3rd person mechanics, same ground markers they're identical, why are we arguing about this? you literally think they're raids are RADICALLY different from gw2's lol. its a 3rd person MMORPG, with raids. ITs fundamentally the same, and would use the same systems including LFG and presumably LFR
  17. ok this is ridiculous and your arguments are ridiculous. gw2 has raids, ffxiv has raids, gw2 has raids. Gw2 has no QOL for its raids. they need some, including a LFR system which is a standard for 12+ years now in MMO's if you cant understand that I cant help you. i mean whats your arugment that gw2 raids are SO UNIQUE AND DIVERSE that they just DO NOT COMPARE to other mmos with raiding lol?
