  1. Yes. I left my character to Blazeridge Steppes pre-patch and now the game crashes when I select the character and try to load the map. Can't report the bug in-game and after the crash no reporting screen appears either.
  2. While I'm glad Scourge is getting alacrity (which is only fair and long overdue, since pretty much every other profession bar maybe Warrior now has some sort of access to quickness or alacrity party application), it's concerning that it comes at the price of a massive nerf to Necromancer's boon conversion capabilities. If we're gonna go the way of killing the flavours of professions, why not also nerf the Guardian's ability to give out aegis and Ranger's ability to immobilize? In competitive gamemodes, boon conversion is what makes it even possible for Necromancer to somehow compete with and counter the other professions that can easily give buff themselves up with multiple boons and/or easily negate incoming attacks. It is one of the reasons why Scourge is even allowed in WvW zergs. Necromancer lacks evades and blocks and has no invulnerability or stealth so it's a sitting duck in PvP most of the time anyway. By the way, Signet of Undeath as a revival skill sacrifices a significant portion of the caster's health upon use whilst similar skills on other professions such as Signet of Mercy or Glyph of Renewal have literally NO downside. That doesn't seem fair.
  3. Not entirely fixed, I think. Did all the possible steps on a 2nd character. Got the bloodstone oven, got my character's cooking to level 500... Seimur is technically a merchant. There is no one left to visit and nothing left to turn in. However, whenever I go to my home instance on that 2nd character, Seimur is displayed with a quest icon and not as a merchant (like on the 1st character). Functionally it is not bugged, but UI-wise still kind of...unfinished.
  4. Soon it will be 5 years, it seems. The problems I've noticed the Maws of Torment meta (still) having in 2022: The East Maw escort NPC is almost 100% guaranteed to be bugged and not move past the bridge. West & North escort NPCs occasionally stall due to some random barricade that is not even on their way. I have also witnessed the NPC getting stuck in a wooden scaffolding pole and the NPC getting stuck under the map. The first wave of Realm mobs spawned upon finishing the escort is usually too few to spike the portal completely and the second wave takes too long to spawn. The escort & spiking mechanics can be skipped completely by mounts - either slamming the Siege Turtle at the portal or dropping a few Skyscale fires on the portal. This is often taken advantage of to be able to complete the meta at all, due to bugged escorts (which is understandable). It is also sometimes taken advantage of just because it requires a lot less effort and is quicker (which is bad news to anyone trying to progress the Realm-Portal Spiker achievement). The meta is literally uncompletable via the intended mechanics.
  5. Maws of Torment...is a real torment. Not only is it often not done in meta trains but it is also really buggy. I've been working towards my Realm-Portal Spiker achievement for a while now and it is worse than crafting a legendary trinket, kitten it! The East Maw escort NPC is almost 100% guaranteed to be bugged and not move past the bridge; West & North escort NPCs occasionally stall due to some random barricade that is not even on their way / get stuck in a wooden scaffolding pole / get stuck under the map (???). If you're lucky enough to finish the escort on a lane, the first batch of Realm mobs spawned is oft-times too few to spike the portal completely and then you wait...and wait...for more to spawn. Meanwhile the timer keeps ticking. Occasionally I meet like-minded players trying to get some portal spikes counted. These occasions make the grind somewhat tolerable. I've gotten 0-7 portal spikes in per meta run; most often 2-4. But the worst part - it has been buggy and literally uncompletable via the intended mechanics for so long that people have figured out how to 'cheese' it. You can just skip the escort / spiking mechanics completely and slam the Siege Turtle at the portal / drop a few Skyscale fires on the portal, and voilà - the lane's Elite Realm Keeper is here for killing! *cries in 'just trying to complete 100 portal spikes for my achievement'* To be fair, the completion rate for the whole meta would be (near?) 0 if it wasn't for the 'cheese', though. Sadly. The MoT final boss - Legendary Forged Demolisher - is a daily today. One might think it's a great chance to get some portals spiked...or is it? I log in. Join a squad gathering for the daily. The commander asks who has Siege Turtle unlocked. Counts the turtles. Proceeds to explain that we're going to cheese it. ... I excuse myself, leave the squad and log out. Literally unplayable.
