Nothing truly final/confirmed, but as far as I know and based on all I've read on it, the only "compensation", is that the crafting process for the legendary relics will be significantly easier if the legendary runes are in your possession. So no, probably no compensation after crafting. Just an easier acquisition. Guardian got pretty badly neglected in these changes compared to the other classes
