  1. Hi! I’ve goofed around with story and open world content off and on for the past couple of years, and I’m finally buckling down to gear up for some organized content. I’m especially looking for a chill WVW group because that always felt kind of intimidating to just dive right in. I’d love an invite! I play for a couple of hours most weeknights. Also most weekends, but those can be a little more hit or miss. I’m kind of an oddball in that I play from the couch with a DualSense, so I’m kind of asocial in-game since a keyboard isn’t as handy, but discord voice chat should compensate!
  2. I know that there’s a subset of players who experience some pretty severe crashes when using DX11 with this game. I was one of them prior to installing a Linux partition and running GW2 on there. When running DX11, I would get frequent (nearly hourly) GPU crashes (Radeon 6700). Sometimes the whole system would shut off, but usually the display would just go out until a hard reset. Switching to DX9 completely eliminated the issue. I found a few threads of people with the same DX11 issues when I was troubleshooting. So, if any of those people find their way here when ANet flips this switch… maybe consider Linux?
  3. So I think I’m like half way there with this method. Burrito_link launches, I get some output about “mumble link shared memory,” when I select a character I get output about “character X, profession Y, map z, etc…,” but I never get anything else. We’re there any steps beyond what was shown in that one post on the link?
  4. Totally made it through all of the story/expansions/living worlds/skyscale only to be bested last week by the boss at the beginning of EoD that was "perform combos on this glorified training dummy." I had no idea that combos existed, and it didn't help that I was playing a Necro for the first time and there were no finishers anywhere on my skill bar. All of that to say, I think I could stand some hand-holding to, you know... learn the game. I'd love an invite.
