Has there been any word on if/when Season 4 and Icebrood will be offered? Is it taking a break for the "August sales"? I don't see anything after the last of Season 3 ended today.

Again, I want to believe people are correct and it will be there, but I'd also like to see something concrete on it.

    Thanks.

They confirmed this during the expansion reveal.

It was also stated again in an article on their news page.

Do trial last forever? For example mount skin..if they release a series of kitten golen mount skin.. And each season getting one..  Would tou be very happy with only one?

What about outfit?  If we are going to spend money on skin.. The money should goes to Anet.. Not some amazon prime membership

    Then use another trial account.

I feel it is still a glaring mistake that Arenanet makes over and over by ommiting information to the player. Often there is little to no information to the player. Saying that players must google fight mechanics spoils other details about the storyline and should not be the default way for players to complete an encounter. Give players the option to turn off tips and give more information

There’s more than enough information available and there’s always the trial and error method where you learn from your mistakes. Guides only really serve those who don’t want to put in the time and/or effort to do it that way.

    Are you sure?

You need to stay alive to remain eligible for the achievement: being Downed has no penalty, but if you are Defeated, progress towards any of the "Chak Killer" achievements ends (despite the Qualify for Chak Killer effect remaining visible); you must restart the chapter.

It’s been a common issue where people who get downed don’t get credit.  It’s been six years so it could have been among one of the dozen or so bugs they have fixed since that time.

But thats the point, "all the players doing it collectively", so far in this discusion its 2-6 necros on one spot, thats NOT a lot, thats nothing, thats marginal compared to thousands of concurrent players, really playing the game.

As for gold sellers or RMT, theres not such a thing, there are ppl trying to get your credential and steal your account, sure, but theres no underground buisness with millions of gold to transfer over guilds and stuff, thats mostly lies or just plain wrong assumptions, that anet does encourage because well, it cultivate fear, devotion and deputies-minded ppl, wich in turn mean lots of reports, and hardly anybody could get trough that then.

Not saying villains dont exist, but if you exagerate it, then most players will insta reports them... wich is exactly what they want.

Per say, you dont need the blue shroud thing, you have the volunteers already, and dont worry, they hit the report button anytime its needed, because its so easy to convince them of the great evil around them.

And because they keep that blured line between legal and illegal (GM will pm you to verify), it means they are even players who will pm you just to be sure you are active, and by no means you are suppose to answer them (wich also increase suspicions).

    It’s not the only spot.

I feel like world bosses could be more rewarding than popping as much magic find as possible and praying the loot has something good to sell/salvage.

Magic find has no impact on the world boss chests.

How would someone autocasting greatsword attack could tip over the prices of mats?

Im not saying thats an excuse or anything, what im saying is they cannot be getting enough for them to compete over ppl who are actually playing and getting the same mats, at a much higher rate, unless everybody does that, but instead it seems more like marginal practice... so its probably marginal impact on the "economy" as well.

You need to look at all of the players doing it collectively nonstop for days, weeks, months, etc.  I wouldn’t call it marginal as they’re doing the same thing in game that the gold sellers used to do years ago which Anet took action against. I guess the difference here is that they don’t RMT so it’s not a big deal.

You stated: "A CM would have to almost completely redesign the entire fight in order to make it comparable to the average raid level.  If you look back at what they have done with previous CMs, you'll see that none of them come remotely close to doing something of that scale."

If I understand you correctly, your point is that Strike normal mode encounters are so drastically different than what a raid CM level challenge would look like, that in your opinion it is extremely unlikely for a Strike CM to be even remotely close to a raid CM level difficulty.

    Yes.

I then stated: "They have said in the past, that the environment, unique graphical assets, voice acting, etc is what typically took so long to make a raid in the past. Given that Strikes CMs can/will share an environment, share voice acting, share graphical assets, etc with the content in the story/regular mode strikes, I don't personally don't consider it unrealistic to have something like a Balthzar PoF story mode boss turn into a Samarog CM level difficulty in a Strike CM format. Again at this point though, we're just speculating and its going to be irrelevant in 6months anyway, so this is my last point on the topic."

My point is that the overhead on creating raid encounters is often NOT the specific encounter design, but rather all of the extra flavor that comes with it (i.e. environment, voice acting, graphical assets, etc). They have stated so in the past. Given this, I am basically disagreeing with your core point. They won't need to do the most challenging/time consuming part of the raid development, so I see no reason why they couldn't go the extra mile to have something like the Balthazar fight in a story instance, the Balthazar fight in a 10man normal mode strike, and the Balthazar fight in a Strike CM mode that has raid level encounter design, mechanics, difficultly, etc.

My argument, like the discussion itself, was about the difference in challenge between the fights themselves.  Not the graphical assets.  Not the voice acting.  Not whatever else that really has nothing to do with the discussion.  None of that has anything to do with the differences in challenge between strikes and raids.

How does this have anything to do with what I just said?  Seriously?

But if you don’t want to comment further that’s okay. I was simply listing my opinion/preference in this thread which got challenged. I will bookmark this thread though and post an update when we inevitable see the strike CMs failing to satisfy raiders. I did this when people claimed as fact that the return to living story achievements wouldn’t contain jumping puzzles and when it was claimed as fact that LS4/5 episodes would not be given for free like LS2/3.
