  1. Your solution to excessive power creep is basically for high skill pve players to abandon the game? Well don't worry, that's been going on for a while.
  2. I quite liked the EOD strikes, I thought they were pretty well designed, especially the HMs. The LW one that got recycled into a fractal, though, hmmmm.
  3. Like reddit dislikes, you'll quickly learn basically no one pays attention to them except a small handful of people who really, really pay attention to them.
  4. Again, the time is irrelevant. You're not going to make someone who doesn't like the content see anything but a timegate, and every time someone mentions that the time gate is short, all someone who doesn't want to do the timegate is going to hear is it's arbitrary. Let me sell those people GoBs. I finally get rewards for my preferred game mode, they stop making posts that give oforum regulars aneurysms. Win win, literally no downsides.
  5. You can change stats on ascended weapons and armor with a mystic forge recipe. A few specific ascended trinkets can stat swap with basically a "reset" item that makes it so you can select the stats again, but usually it's better to just get another trinket. Legendary items can have their stats selected freely, and it rules.
  6. Like fully half the comments in this thread have said they want to be able to buy/sell GoBs/GoEs, meaning they want to engage with the content they enjoy and make meaningful progress towards it without having to do content they don't enjoy. I would absolutely, positively flood the market with GoBs and buy GoEs if I could, and the o-forums are the only place with people that think that is a crazy idea. As you and the person you quoted pointed out: you can already sell the full weapons. What, exactly, is wrong with wanting to sell the components? Enjoyment of the process is important. I no longer find map completion fun. I can do it reliably in around 10 hours. I'd absolutely farm for a week or two to avoid doing it ever again. Some people don't like flipping camps. same concept. This is not mysterious.
  7. My comment was describing what I wanted from GW2. You told me to make my own game. You didn't even stop for a second to consider if I thought my very limited wants were already being met. Yes, it's still amazing, thank you for asking.
  8. I don't know who the target audience of this post is. You're right, power creep has stripped any and all difficulty from the game, but I'm gonna be honest my dude, the difficulty that was there was never very pronounced. Some of the hard modes are y'know, hard compared to the rest of the game, for sure, and a couple I honestly think are some of the better designed fights in MMO broadly, but overall? Nah man. You've had to set artificial constraints on your team for that kind of thing for a whiiiiile.
  9. Back in my day we had to grind up hill both ways. In the snow!
  10. Amazing. I didn't even offer a criticism and someone came in to white knight the game. Thou doth protest too much.
  11. I want my time respected. I want processes to acquire things to have a fun gameplay loop. The end.
  12. Do you have an argument of why you *should* have to spend time engaging in an entirely different game mode you don't like other than "you currently do, and that's that"?
  13. The three confused reactions really make this so much funnier than they probably intended.
