Ok, I did it. When there were few people (~5), we prevented Abraxces from unleashing the malignant coalescence VERY quickly (1-2 seconds) and the achievement was not counted. But when there were a lot of people (15+), we did it longer (up to 5 seconds) and it was done.

Don't know what you want to fix because I just did this quest. Almost all mobs count in POI Memorial zu Heltzer. And there are also a couple of mobs to the SE of the POI Skygazer Cathedral in the crypt.
