  3. Ok, well we fundamentally agree then. I don't care about the range requirement per se, but the fact of the double standard. Either make both have the range requirement or neither. I don't care, as long as things are equal. But the range requirement on ranger has not existed since launch. So it won't ever happen.
  4. Every projectile skill can be cast without needing a range requirement.. But for axe thief? Oh we need to make sure you can't cast the axe/pistol dual skill unless you're within 900 range. This kills it in pvp/wvw. It's really bad. But for long range shot/rapid fire??... Yea cast that baby from 2k range away! All while displaying 1500 range.
  5. Seeing as thief now needs a 900 range requirement to cast it's axe/pistol dual skill, I figured I'd let you guys know that ranger is next. Long range shot will soon require 1500 range requirement to cast, as well as every other longbow skill. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But anet has a very equal and smart balancing philosophy of *no double standards!* /s
  6. Hey guys, don't worry though. Ranger can still use long range shot or rapid fire while being outside 1500 range! This will surely be patched soon too. /s

  8. The LOS is completely fine. That's an obvious fix. But not the range requirement to cast. Absolutely horrible..

  10. The double standards are crazy... If anet made long range shot.. or any ranged weapon require you to be within range to at least cast it... y'all would lose your minds. For some weird reason this has a range requirement. Think about it. For more than 5 seconds please.
  11. now axe is dead. the range requirement on dual skill for axe/pistol was just "patched" even though it shouldn't have been.
  12. *golf clap* Anet, you did it! you killed axe thief. a new record this time. 3 days!! the no line of sight requirement on the dual skill was to be expected. but the range requirement?... yea... this kills axe in pvp. just really bad now. EDIT: Let me try help you guys understand the double standard. Ranger can cast rapid fire or long range shot when they're outside of 1500 range. The true range of the arrow is like 1800 or so to account for player movement, but that doesn't account for player movement in many scenarios like sitting in a tower or when things get vertical. And you will, in many cases, get a range of 1800-2000. Crazy! I'm going to go complain about this now since thief has been nerfed and can't enjoy a longer ranged weapon.
  13. Red herring here, red herring there, you have no justification for a game breaking mechanic and your logic is very weak. Anet *clearly does* balance for wvw as evidenced by the... oh.. I don't know.. patch notes for world v world? Just because they are slow to get around to patching game breaking mechanics doesn't mean it justifies their existence. Stop trying to needlessly justify an obviously broken mechanic. Just because warrior is weak doesn't mean this shouldn't be fixed. You can have it both ways. Fix the kitten broken trait and buff warrior. No one has addressed this perfectly valid point: If there were a trait that allowed blind to work on unlimited attacks, it would be absolutely *game breaking.*
  14. yea but then warrior mains would have to learn how to play the game and not exploit broken and unintended mechanics. hence why you are seeing push back from a select few forum posters... lollll
