As an elitist raider its not like I woke one morning and broke the keyboard due to some rotation, I learned from experience and had the mindset to improve my own game style instead of role playing as a carpet and begging for a res or getting carried by skillful people...

Finally someone gets it! This is a huge issue with almost the entire playerbase. Everyone is just too casual and wants the game to be made even much more casual. That's why raids, that are already far too easy in comparison to other MMOs, are being ruined. If more people want to get in then they should stop whining and stop getting carried all the time. 
Learn stuff by yourself instead of wasting people's time! Every other of us 2012 veterans had to learn all of the stuff by ourselves too. It's so easy nowadays when you can just google guides or go to the kitten wiki. Stop asking in chat.

Well, I'm male and I play male characters only. I thought that was weird since all guys usually play females. 
Well, playing anything else than male characters would make me uncomfortable and dysphoric though.

If there isn't anything about it on snowcrows then it's not viable. Sorry to disappoint you but I had to learn something else after power DH got removed and isn't viable anymore. Thankfully still heal druid is there. However I was more comfortable and experienced with power dh in terms of dps than the thing I have to resort to now to risk not getting insta kicked. 
I suggest you search for a guild that doesn't mind meta all too much when you want to play something taht isn't on snowcrows because lfg is pure hell otherwise.

Finally someone made a post about this! I was wondering if it was bugged or if I forgot how the whole thing works after so many years. 
The bug seems to be related to the Trahearne version of the event because earlier Mr. Sparkles and Zojja worked just fine.

[Online Status of people on blocklist not shown anymore]

I don't know if this is intended or actually a bug but I can't see the online status of my blocklist anymore. 
Since my list is peramnentally getting full I have to unblock people to block new ones but I'd like to know if I'm unblocking the right ones and for that the online and map status were usually really helpful to only have people with a specific amount of AP, people with lore unfriendly character names and specific frequented maps/game modes still blocked. I generally want to avaid these people in which also the map they're in currently helps as they can still follow you around on the map if they have added you prior to the update that changed this.  
I'd like to have some confirmation whether it's a bug or something intended.

Problem with PvP is that you will most likely get badly insulted through whispers and reporting does absolutely nothing. I've played in two leagues a few years back and it was horrible. I still don't know why I did it daily. Maybe because I was burnt out with all other content and the game had nothing else to offer. Also the legendary backpack was nice. 
WvW however is also not that easy if you're having servers against you that are always resulting in yours getting the outnumbered buff constantly and being overrun by a zerg that rushes to every little thing that is happening on a map. 
It's nice at least that you don't need to do these two for the armor skins as you can just do 17 achievements (18 if your account isn't 10 years old).

yup but also extremely toxic at times and you'll get downvoted pretty easily for harmless stuff like a meme regarding the steam release. Had an encounter like that last weekend. 
I'd rather put up with people here instead of reddit as I'm getting insta downvoted all the time anyways just because of a post in the past where I gave people advice on how to do a soecific event properly and people spreading lies about me. 
The forums are much better in those regards.

Sorry for bump but it's still an issue. I didn't do Dhuum for what feels like 100 times to get the chair to drop only to have it bugged on my characters. 
Maybe make the character model a bit bigger to fit the pose on the chair would help

Yeah, they require no skill at all. Just spam them and win. 
I remember when you actually had to put effort into maxing your dps and do rotations. Nowadays you can reach insane amounts of dps with just some auto attacks.

I just wanted to say how much I love the art of this game and I appreciate the work and effort the concept art team puts into it. 
After years I still admire the art so much. When looking at the loading screens or the art in general it really takes me into another worlds. 
The art is one of the things I immediatly noticed when I started playing years ago.

[Power DH after the 6/28 patch (PvE)]

This really amkes me sad because power DH was the only dps based thing I could play but now I guess I have to completely relearn a different class only to be taken into raids again. I'm much more experiences as a druid healer by the way but sometimes you're just forced into playing dps as that spot is already taken. It's sad to see condi being so overpowered now because spamming condis is just very easy and requires no actual skill. 
I do play all classes with different builds each (over 35 characters does that apprently) but guardian, ranger (although it's onyl heal druid as I never liked ranger overall due to the bad stigma from old dungeon days and I don't like the pet stuff) and necromancer are the three ones I know most about and can handle the best. The other optional one was banner warrior but that got completely kittened over with the patch as well unfortunately. It sucks to now go with something completely new only to get accepted into raids again and not be kicked immediatly. I hate thief but it seems taht I need to learn condition specter because of the snowcrows benchmark. 
This is really infuriating. 
Sorry for my rambling, Ijust wanted to add my two cents to it as I'm very annoyed as well by the recent changes.

No one goes through all that toxicity for the thrill of it..

 

To be frank suck it up princess and understand things change, what you went through is not what newer raiders will go through, making everything about you will not help the populations raiding.

First of all, don't misgender me with "princess". 
Second, if a group is too toxic then just make your own in lfg. Also there's tons of training guilds to get new raiders set up. 
The official GW2 discord has all the resources you need with training runs being advertised quite often.
