Wait, what was the edit to season 2 during the return?

The one that comes to mind is adding Mordremoth to one of the books during Scarlets secret room so the name Mordremoth doesn’t come out of left field from Kasmeer.

  2. Yeah I’m not sure if they will add a brand new profession. Is it a scholar, adventurer or soldier? Is it none of these and a brand new selection? What your asking might be better as an elite spec, possibly with a focus turning into a martial weapon as they are kinda fist like.

    - I want to see quaggan cities below the waves.

    - I want to see the largos civilization, whatever that may entail.

There's probably more, obviously there are the unknown lands, the deep sea terrors, the krait obelisks, the Isle of Janthir and much more. I feel like any of these things that build upon the existing would be fun things to explore and they are some of my greatest desires for the game.

Big yes to Largos cities, hell, I’ll even take ruins.

Kralk, Primordus, and Zhaitan were the same yeah. Mordremoth's change isn't too big since it was Plant and Mind, and the biggest manifestation of its plantiness was the giant vines it made everywhere. Though the change from Persuasion and Deception for Jormag is much bigger since one is simply convincing while the other is lying.

Though I always considered the aspect names we saw in LWS4 to more represented the "corrupted" or "conflicted" versions of those magics in Kralkatorrik, and not their natural states.

What do you think Soo-Won’s second domain is?

Most of them were the same during the DE meta, though the one I noticed was changed was the Jormag champion being labeled "Ice and Deception" rather then "Ice and Persuasion"

Yeah couple things to note was that Kralkatorrik’s domain remained the same. Primordus too. Jormag’s changed to Frost and Deception. While Mordremoth went to Vine and Mind, which changed from the Kralkatorrik encounter from Root and Madness.

To be clear, I'm just hypothesizing that her second domain is Life.

    1. She created all life from "nothing".
    2. It's an often trope/theme in fiction for life to come from water due to Earth's own history.
    3. If "all magic" is dragon magic, there's one magic that's notably missing from the Elder Dragons: healing magic. Jormag might be all about "preserving" and Monk magic stems from the preservation school, but the two don't really connect in any visible way. If Soo-Won, who 'protected' Canthans (and supposedly quaggans), and possibly repopulated the world between dragonrises (I heard this was hinted somewhere but hadn't seen such yet, and that she often protected mortals like Glint did with four of the five elder races), then that would be a fitting domain, and it'd solve the missing Healing Magic domain.

I still find it a bit interesting that some of the domains have switched names during certain encounters and again seems to be the case with the DE meta as well.

I was hoping to sift through the wiki and analyze some of the creature attacks to see if they give any more clues on the more elusive domains.

I feel like Creation is a fitting domain, and Life feels like it could be part of that.

Theres the notion that Aurene is a dragon of healing, though sardonically said by Jormag. More thematic to Aurene’s persona than literal though, I’d say.

Yeah Aurene does have a lot of healing aspects, just given by the dialogue between Caithe and Ryland during DRMs. Perhaps Soo-Won is more ancient way of healing.

  8. Guess that makes sense, I do wonder if we will get a more elaborate treatise from Taimi on the Elder Dragons and their magic, possibly in book form explaining what some of these influences are. Some are self explanatory, while others are a bit more vague.

  9. Now that EoD has been out for over a month, what does everyone think Soo-Won’s second sphere of influence is. It’s pretty clear her primary domain is water, what do you think the second is? Given that the DE meta shows each of the dragon champions with both of their sphere names in the title aka Champion of Crystal and Fury etc. are there clues anywhere to what this domain is?

Except Soo-Won was hording magic, and not sharing it.

Making a bond with Kuunavang =/= sharing magic, no more then an Elder Dragon "corrupting" anything into a minion is sharing their magic in the true sense. It just means she got a minion. She didn't mind control/mentally dominate Kuunavang, but there is nothing to suggest she ever gave Kuunavang any powers via magic sharing like Aurene has with the Commander via the Crystal Champion, or Dragon Slayer, mastery lines(among other things)

Wasn’t Kuunavang’s ability to change into human form with water, an ability that Soo-Won gave her?

  11. I feel like the problem certain people have is that they want everything in an organized cookie cutter story with a  season or expansion. “ I want a Norn expansion with Jormag” or “I want an Asura expansion with Primordus” it’s makes the story and plot feel very inorganic and too neat. Who cares if there is charr in the Jormag plot. Does Bangar look over at Jormag and the Shiverpeaks and think that’s the Norns dragon that’s the old norn lands, we can’t go over there because that’s the norm expansion content.

I think after the personal story and especially after Heart of Thorns, the devs didn’t want to create a predictable, inorganic story, where’s it’s the Asura expansion or the Charr expansion. If we look at the personal story to EoD as the Elder Dragon story it makes it feel more appealing, rather then blocking things into these neat little expansion packages.

i know the feeling bro and it sux. some have done over 40 tries without any luck, thats over 2 weeks of work.

    "casual...respects your time"....lol

So I recently got the turtle and the trick with the DE meta is getting the Jade buffs and the 10% pre event buff. You cannot beat this meta without it period.

if your hoping to just jump in as the meta starts you will fail.

Does it respect players time? No, no it doesn’t.

The word casual explains it all sadly...
So many great metas have been ruined. Also a lot of us long time players only play rarely because of nothing to do in this game at all except the weekly raids and daily T4 fractals. This is the reason why such a good game has begun dying down. There's not much to do for veterans.

Don’t worry CM strikes are coming. I imagine the same with LWS6 as well.

It should still be a challenge. Check it out this evening and let me know how you do. 🙂

Hey Josh, is it possible for the vindicator and virtuoso’s elite specialization weapon collection to be altered to match the other elite spec weapons. These are the only two elite specs that require the Dragon’s End Meta as well.

Please Anet for the love of whatever you worship, do not nerf this fight. Finaly there is a boss fight in open world where just spamming #1 is not enough.
Do not listen to cry babies just because finally they have to somewhat pay attention to what is happening. If you really have to do something maybe add an extra minute on timer to the boss fight but not too much...

My issue is this, if I decide to enter a map meta and then add a bunch of time to the event by activating the green and not completing them and doing this on purpose… That’s a problem…

I did catch that and it would be an interesting plot point to go through if handled right and if they don't forget about it like they've done a handful of times in the past.

Would be interesting if there was some sort of parasitic aquatic creature similar to chak down there feeding on Soo-Won or her energy, and in a way creating this sort of water dragon minion.
