I also believe that RISC processors will be the norm for desktop computers in the future. It may take years but I believe it will come.

I've been playing since 2012 also and have lots of time any money invested. I've had a great time playing all these years and was happy to be able to play on my iMac. This is so sad and i'm shocked to see this happen.

My goal for 2021 is to quit playing Guild Wars.

When I started GW2 I got a message from Apple saying 32 bit apps will not work in the future. Weird but I restarted and didn't get it again.

I agree, SSD is the way to go. I'm also on an iMac; Late 2013, 16 gb memory, GTX 780M, i5. It runs good on medium to high settings, 25-50 fps mostly. Still have a stutter when moving. It really shows when playing a Vista. I hope they can get this fixed but overall it is sooo much better than before.

I still have a jerkiness. My FPS are normally good, averaging in the 40's with medium/high settings, but for some reason it jerks slightly when running forward.

This may sound a bit trivial but since moving to the 64 bit native mac version I do not see my characters footprints anymore, in the snow or sand, on any maps.

I really don't know why my setup works OK(most of the time) because I see others like you that have similar specs and are having a terrible time. It's frustrating not knowing why some people have good performance and others with the similar specs are having terrible performance. Now I do believe I should be getting much better performance with these specs based on what the Windows people are getting with similar specs. Hopefully Anet is still working on optimizing the Mac 64 client and we all see better performance in the future.

I have the same spec's except I have 4 GB on the GPU card and have the game installed on an external USB 3.0 SSD. I normally get 35 - 45 FPS outside cities and In the cities I get 25 - 35, but occasionally it will drop in the low teens(or lower) for no reason at all. Also when I enter a new area it sometimes will take a minute or two to become playable.
