It was actually supposed to be a joke, but I'm certain there are people who can tell apart the noises of different monkey and ape species.

Well, jokes in forums sometimes go unnoticed, as you probably know, everything on the internet is taken seriously 😜

There certainly are, id just be surprised to see them in the warrior forum. Those guys are probably in the ranger forum.

@RedShark.9548 cause this would be too mutch at least in my eyes. Just get the self heal stacks by spending adrenaline would help against ranged classes since you do not need to hit them to get self sustain ^^. Letz say its just a QoL Change xd

Yea but i could say the same about ranged condi spam. I cant reach them so i cant use it to cleanse condis.

    Its the same reasoning.

Also i always hated to get blinded or blocked and just die to condis because i spent my hard earned adrenalin without getting anything out of it.

Giving that it's Ape Superspeed, it should be ape noises, not monkey noises.

Id be impressed if you could only hear a scream like that without any visuals and tell if it was a monkey or an ape screaming.

And i wasnt even aware that ape and monkey are different. Kinda thought it was a synonym. Learnt something today. In german we use one word for both basically. We just add basically a prefix to the word for ape.

Giving that chimpanzees just get crazier and crazier once they get started, it should increase in intensity the more often you hit something.

And with gorillas generally being peaceful until angered, it should also stack in intensity when being hit.

The trade-off is that you can also hit allies. But hey, if you hit allies, you get faster for doing so.

Only if they add monkey screams from your character everytime you cast it. Getting louder with every hit.

  5. Are you gonna use staff +sword/horn or stick to mace/horn? Sword mobility and more reliable burst hit might make it worth the use. Or does staff burst trigger all the adrenalin traits due to its healing effect "hitting"?

  6. Ppl actually play this spec? I bought the expansion on release and all my motivation for playing warrior, and thus the whole game, left my body like my food after i drank that last bad shot 4am in the morning.

Just in the last 2-3 days i picked it back up, running through EoD on berserker, havent set a foot in pvp or wvw, because i fear that i wont be having much fun in those with warrior...(all i ever did was wvw and occasionally pvp)

And they even nerf that clunky, boring specc? Classical gw2 balancing.

give us back the 3 spins.

i 'm so tired of all this non-sense changes that nobody asking for.

did they really think it's a good idea to annoy player at 2 months of the launch of an extension ?????

Yes, to make ppl think that the expansion will change anything and prompt them to buy it

  8. logged into the game to see what they gave warrior. im absolutely sad about this abomination you call an elite spec.

Ive played gw2 since release for around 7 years with some breaks inbetween, mostly with warrior with around 6000hours alone on that class. i looked at this spec and lost all motivation to play the new story. its such a sad thing.

why not give warrior this, while letting him keep his other 2 weapon sets and alteast let him use his basic 1 bar adrenalin burst skills. Are you worried that the warrior in pvp will have "too many options" on skills to use, so ppl cant actually predict everytime what he will do next ?

this spec is the clunkiest kitten ive ever seen anybody come up with. if i didnt preorder the expansion months ago id actually want a refund, im this disappointed about what arenanet is doing with warrior.

Banner's advantage is that they grant "free" stats which have a significant enough impact in organized group in PvE to make this utility a "must have". ANet's dev shaving those stats again and again has always been a bad way to try to remove this impact.

The light field is either a good joke (since the warrior isn't thematically linked to "light") or a foreshadow of warrior's next e-spec. Either way it's poor design.

i know what banners do, but those stats wont cut it in wvw.

you read that wvw part ?

Underwhelming balance patch given that we waited for so long. What happened to 300 second CD traits? Pretty sad that the balance team haven't done anything about it for more than a year. Is Spellbreaker buff a bad joke? Let's wait another half a year for another 5-10% buff, because waiting is fun (/s).

I am looking forward mostly to new rifle skill (even though I have some doubts it will be gamechanger) and Marching Orders CD reduction to 10 seconds, which could be interesting with the Martial Cadence trait, 3 second weapon skill CD reduction every 10 seconds sounds pretty good as first impression. But everything else is a joke, seriously. Small bukitten and nerfs, some make me question balance team's competence.

Banner nerf is hilarious, it doesn't solve anything right now, just makes Discipline traitline even more mankittentory if you want to support 10 people (and most meta builds if not all already pick the trait in Discipline anyway...). So basically just nerf to non-Discipline builds that are much much less used anyway. BIG (/s). I guess they were a bit afraid that suddenly people start using banners in PvP/WvW with their light fields and it would be too strong, having banner bukitten for 10 people around for "free".

I don't understand why balance team didn't split the trait instead, doubled stats bonus part in Discipline and increasing number of targets part into Tactics. So if warrior wants to support more people, they have to lower their dps by going Tactics, which would make sense. So many questions...

Oh also, rip Peak Performance buff. What they did with this trait since its introduction is beyond disgusting (Spellbreaker d a m a g e buffed btw 🤡)

Ppl wont use banners in wvw for a measly lightfield that stays for 5 seconds and has 90s cd lol. And the buffs from banners are not good enough to justify removing other skills

  11. Yep, these patchnotes were sad, and the fact that they finally had the dev team working on it who can change skills entirely, and not just numbers and then completely ignore all the 300cd traits in the game (not just warrior has one as placeholder) is a shame. Its lazy and does give of the impression that they dont play the game themself, and have not looked or talked with the cmc team, who changed those numbers for a very good reason.

I also like the prot/reso change you suggested lan

  12. Necro has one of the more powerful downed states imo, heal8ng while doing tons of dmg? Aoe fear around them? Warrior throws a single target hammer at you, and the third skill is on cd alll day until you get finished off

Anyways, downed state skills shouldnt be class specific, everybody should throw pebbles at the enemy.

@RedShark.9548 said:Is bandits defense still a thing? Last time i seriously played gw2 pretty much every thief ran that kitten op skill with low cd, stunbreak, block and knockdown.

Impossible to lockdown when that thing is on 16s cd

I honestly never encounter it, and I fight a lot of thieves in WvW. Its all shadowsteps and Assassin's Signet.

Theres a lot of them using it now, that or roll for ini.

Hmm not the ones I've fought recently. It's a great skill to be honest and I wish warrior had it instead.

I don't get how its great lol, I rarely see thieves using it cuz the 1 1/4 length block. If it was 3 secs or so similar to Ranger or shield block maybe. I'd way rather have bandits defense work like shield block or rangers gs skill where u can block for a duration instead of having to block right as the damage is occurring. Knock downs great but I think most thieves would give it up for a longer block duration or a block like rangers with push back, even with loss of the stunbreak.

If it was longer then it would be absolutely busted, its already stacked with different mechanics, id rather have this on warrior shield than the 3s duration.

Against smart player you dont even use the full 3sec. A good enemy will stop attacking or use unblockables after a single hit wull get thrown into the block.

Bandits defense has/had (not sure if they changed it) shorter cd than warrior shield 5,while having a much more versatile use.

Its absolutely stacked, how can you not see the use of it?

  14. @"SASHI.7260" said:I like your outlook OP. This is also how I play now. Dun care if I die a lot now in sPvP (actually, I turned off chat at all). I just go with the flow on what I want to do and how I wanna do it. Of course when it comes to group content on PvE with my friends, I try to be better than yesterday so I can yell a lot in our discord with the phrase, "BOOM DECAP! BOOM DECAP!" everytime i press F1 on Berserker Mode :)

So pve is group content, but a 5v5 pvp match apparently isnt. Kinda sad, to say the least

  15. @"bethekey.8314" said:This has been a long time coming. Rush has ridiculous range beyond its stated 1200 value. Based on my crude tests in the video, I'd say it's more like 1500+ range.

In my opinion, this error gives warriors free mobility on top of their already very mobile kit and makes it difficult to know when a dodge is necessary. I recorded two clips recently that exemplify this issue. Enjoy!

You clearly never played warrior against actual players. Calling warrior very mobile in this day and age of gw2, lol.

  16. @Lily.1935 said:PvE is mine and many other's preferred game mode. And from that perspective it often seems that PvE is largely ignored when it comes to balance which I feel is a mistake. A lot of classes under preform and the dominant builds tend to stay dominant for years. This creates a rather stale format. Although some like the consistency of it never or rarely changing, I don't hold that position at all.

Tackling new content with the same exact build I've been using for 4 years leads to long periods of fatigue with the game and short bursts of interest.

You could tell me to do PvP or WvW more. But those formats are extremely stressful for me. I don't like killing other players, I get no enjoyment from being killed by them myself. I prefer spectating those. And my involvement with spectating is directly linked to my enjoyment of PvE.

So this post is more personal feels on the issue. From my perspective, PvE is the most important part of the game. And new content is soured for me when the gameplay has stagnated for me. I enjoy a PvE experience that is evolving. And without new skills being added, balance is where I turn to to find my thrills with experimentation and adapting.

Are you trying to say that wvw/pvp are balanced?Every single gamemode needs better balancing. Anet is neglecting balance issues since forever in gw2.
