Cadaver Material.3162's Achievements

  1. I feel your pain. I went through this years ago over the Storm Bow. As an RN, I work crazy hours and my schedule changes all the time, so keeping up with the store wasn't easy for me. The Bow only hit the store twice a year, and I missed it for two years. I offered twice the amount of gems, twice the amount of money it would cost, I tried offering everything I could think of to the support team to sell me the Bow. They told me under no circumstances would they sell me something outside of it's normal sales times, and that I'd just have to wait for it come around again. I got "lucky" when they put the bow up for black lion statuettes. Very frustrating. Easy to say "you should have watched the news", but sometimes real life has a way of intruding upon your gaming life....
  2. I'd love to see this done with more frequency, perhaps every 3 or 4 months maybe to keep it somewhat fresh. Maybe they could cycle this type of event with other game types to get people involved.
  3. Heh, this dungeon is still fun to run. Lupi used to be a kitten, but now people can trash him. Push him up against the wall in phase one, then right after his invuln phase feedback his acid rain and he's either dead or close to it. There's a bunch of youtube clips on it. While you're there check out the 5-thief team who all went double Quips. It was like a herd of geese swarming poor 'ol Lupi. Bring a thief to stealth past most of the trash mobs, bring a mesmer to skip/port past others or port the dead back from a waypoint. Path 4 is arguably the worst, but I think it's the most fun, probably because it's the least run. Simin made it a *****. Some of my guildmates were involved in an 8-hour run on this path in it's hey-day. I cringe to think about that now.
  4. Greatly appreciate the pointer. Was not aware you could buy this on the TP. It still kinda stinks you have to buy your way around drop-wall though. I'd rather the drop get fixed in some fashion, but I'll take what I can get. Thank you.
  5. I would love for these to become a little more available. I am also trying to get diviner's gear. I work nights so my play time is early AM on off days . This means that no one is doing the meta's to begin with, and when someone actually does show up, it means there are two of us. O.o I've managed to get one single jewel in the past two weeks, which is absurd. Yes, I have tagged up, yes I have advertised, yes I have put it in the LFG. Simply put, there aren't that many people on when I play, and those that are have better things to do than play a rusty old meta. After searching the wiki, there are two ways to get these: Do the meta, which has a very rare chance of dropping one if you manage to complete itAFTER completion of the meta (please note that you MUST complete the meta for this to be an option) you can go to Frodak to loot the Throne Room of (3) Jewels "per day per character".Of course, all of this is moot when you cannot complete the meta due to lack of population. Please update this. At least give me a chance to earn these things.
  6. Shamelessly stolen from Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/9hylrp/easy_ascended_weapon_for_new_players/Some easier than others, but lots of simple ascended stuff in there for starters.
  7. I think you can stick a fork in this. This topic has garnished over 1100 replies from the player base, of which a whopping total of five have come from the A-Net team, which includes one of those "replies" being an edit of their own post. That's .005% of the replies. And that includes the introduction of the topic. This does not consider the unknown number of threads and posts that have been closed/deleted and told to be "added" to this thread because they were thought to be relevant to the theme/subject of templates. To sum up the Arena-net membership "involvement" (para-phrasing): October 28th: Stephane Lo-Presti.7258 "We're reading the feedback and discussing it internally."October 29th: Stephane Lo-Presti.7258 "I'm closing all previous posts about templates. This thread is primarily for gathering feedback, not discussion."November 12th: Stephane Lo-Presti.7258 Edit of the Nov. 1 post telling people to be polite when giving feedback.November 18th: Rubi Bayer.8493 "We see you want auto switching when going to PvP and WvW; you want legendary equipment swapping to be fixed; and you want to be able to make experimental changes to builds without them being auto-saved. We'll work on this and update you early in the new year."November 25th: Rubi Bayer.8493 "We've updated stuff so that you'll auto-switch templates when going to PvE, PvP, or WvW; plus PvP equip will be integrated into all equip templates. We'll give you another update early in the new year."With over a thousand replies, this topic is one of the most popular non-stickied threads in the entire Discussion section, which might imply that it is something the player base has an interest in. While there are many negative posts herein, there are also a great many posts with a number of positive or alternative suggestions which might improve the view the players have of the templates in general. To date, we've seen several "quality of life" updates for the templates, but they pretty much remain the same as they were when they rolled out. It would be great to be able to actually converse with the A-net team about this. The key word is "converse", which would require that someone from A-net respond to any of our inquiries, requests, suggestions, demands, etc. We know they (A-net) delete threads and lock anything that has even the slightest implication of being involved with templates that isn't posted here, so they're reading the posts at least. Well, the new posts in any case. The lack of response here though indicates a complete lack of concern for the topic. Five posts (technically four and an edit) from over 1100? And in the interim you've given us numerous capes; taken fall damage mitigation skills out of the game and replaced them with "other skills"; gave us the Bjora Marches; had Wintersday; had Lunar New Years; you even went so far as to throw in an update to WvW when some SMC walls got moved (unintentionally at the time) and then even fixed it afterwards. I'll give you points for being busy (at least the devs), but to completely disregard one of the most popular threads in the entire forum which you started in the first place? That's crass. And it shows just how little you actually value interaction. And this > "We'll still follow with another update early in the new year"; well, I'm hesitant to call it an outright lie, as I suppose it depends on your definition of what "early" is, but it's sure looking like it. You're going to say "well, even you pointed out that we (a-net) did not plan this to be a discussion thread". Well, to be fair, in the same breath you also said you were closing all the old threads, and since then have closed and deleted every other thread anyone has brought up to try to discuss it. You ended the discussion before it ever happened. Almost like you never intended it to happen. But that would mean that you had no intentions of following through on any of the "feedback" we offered. Just like you did before the templates were dropped. We offered truckloads of advice and suggestions to a resounding silence, then we got handed your version of templates. Then asked for feedback and denied the option to "discuss" it with you. Well, here it is, Round two. Fifty nine days since your last post here. 59. FIVE NINE. As if you care. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, well, I was a hopeful idiot wishing for a miracle. tl;dr: ANET. DOES. NOT. CARE. Keep feeding the gem store. "Keep posting. We'll keep reading, laughing, and deleting what we don't like."
  8. Thank your wondrous RNG for those superb results. As they said above
  9. After having the free use of ARC, using this clunky piece of wonderment leaves an aftertaste of filth in my mouth; especially considering the astronomical costs anet has decided they want us to pay for a q.o.l. feature they knew we've been asking for since the game dropped. Massively Overpowered did the math: I've done my share of buying gem store purchases to support the game and keep it going, even though it's quite easy to farm gold and convert to gems to buy what you like. There is no way this side of **** I will be supporting this type of gouging, as there is no other way you can describe this. For that kind of money I could buy a whole lot of bags, alts, or even other entire games if anet persists in trolling this type of garbage to its customers. They've had years to develop templates, they had an outside party give them a working template code from front to back to even read through to get an idea of how one works. Yeah, it didn't work quite how they wanted it to, but don't tell me coders couldn't have dug some better ideas out of it instead of the "official" version they spewed out. You asked for opinions and suggestions, then promptly ignored each and every one of them. Then dropped a patently inferior, separated system and deliberately gave us less equipment templates than build templates so we'll have to buy multiples of them to have an equal amount of each for a toon, then charged fantastical costs for each one. And now you're back to solicit opinions again. Surely you jest.
  10. It is interesting that it is offered though, especially as there is a specific achievement for creating the same legendary twice. I know we don't want to glut the market with precursors and/or legendaries (or maybe some do) but for those of us not blessed by RNG-sus, this is the only way possible, other than horking over hundreds of gold at a time.
