  1. it actually is EU thing too we were 40 people making jokes in pvp lobby about who will disconnect more times in every 60 seconds i am doing map completion in core tyria to avoid any annoying dc i dont know why a few guys in forums represent the whole EU u can literally ask a guildie or a wvw allies that have alts in EU not hang from the opinion of a few forum guys. not even my opinion. we are not the center of the universe collect more people opinions for your own sake.
  2. i got 7 disconnects in 10 minutes. lol these quotes "dont use add ons" and "repair client" imagine 200 people having disconnet issues and some forum post farmers send u to format your whole computer as "constructive feedback" there is issue with gw2servers please dont mislead people to waste hours fixing something that is not broken. (their computer and connection is not broken) ingame almost everybody already knows lets NOT act as if the problem is NOT on arenanet s side and it is OK if they have problems, maybe they had some emergency problem just DONT send people to mess with their own computer the purpose of the post is to protect people FROM harming their computer trying to fix the problem while it is NOT user problem i thank you all the veterans that actually give good advices to help they give good advices. thank you
  3. the whole drama is about THIS build here warning this is NOT 100% build ON PURPOSE i didnt complete it because some inexperienced players will not be able to see how the combo works http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PGgAs2B7YI4DCA-zZIBAA it is NOT a single skill kill it is a muliple skills macro activation that can kill you in less than 2 seconds. this is why it looks like "oneshot" HOW this can "oneshot" you? you play air+air to trigger this trait for bonus damage https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Elements_of_Rage then u hold scepter skill 1 channel for max dps on button 1 https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Arc_Lightning then use all skills that have max damage and ZERO casting time this way u dont break channeling scepter 1 so u get max dps so you activate via macro all the following skills https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Lightning_Strike https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Arcane_Blast https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Arcane_Wave (it is NOT the damage burst problem. its the zero casting time that allows the weaver to dps nonstop while other classes have 0.5 or 0.75 seconds of pause between damage skills due to casting time for each skill) (these pauses due to casting time are massive dps delay compared to weaver that has no downtime in a 10 seconds duel dps) this is NOT a new build we pvp vs this build for 10 years before weaver traits variation and why this build is NOT a problem? because this build has no defenses. it can never survive vs good players YES he will kill you the first duel because you didnt expect a meme build but he cant do it again. once you know his combo is down he runs like chicken because you will chase him to kill him. so you scare him to start running. while he is busy running just kill his team. we are talking about 10-20 seconds platinum pvp kills. not about 60 seconds fights common in silver or gold. to fix the low elo problem you need to add casting time to prevent multi skills macro burst. the one thing that needs nerf is the zero activation skills to prevent "oneshot" macro dps
  4. i see a lot of people that forget how it is to wvw when u just start with no mounts no masteries and no clue about squads movement. i kindly remind to all these veterans to start a NEW free account in a server they dont know anyone, without fully optimized or geared up char. i ve done this in more than 5 alt accounts it reminds u how extremely annoying it is when a lot of commander tags are moving in chaos and people cant follow and die again and again EVEN with voicechat they make wvw extremely difficult to follow so YES i understand and i feel both sides and YES gift of battle is extremely easy AFTER you understand all you need is timing management move in and out of combat change maps fast to follow tag never play alone, always be near others to help you in wvw and a LOT more things that OTHER veterans already said a lot of veterans said a lot of GOOD advices a simple example of bad wvw gameplay is when squad/zerg is attacking a keep do NOT afk on catapults they will kill you during defense fight and you will get angry do NOT ignore your commander tag i see a lot of new players chase one guy 5000 range away from tag just pay attention to where players are and join them good luck :)
  5. first of all i want to thank forum moderator for helping us to cooperate. second i want to share wishes of happy holidays and merry christmas to everyone. now i will remind and re-explain some things that i see people still dont understand or maybe i didnt explain properly i dont put blame on others. we are all responsible for mistakes and there is nothing wrong with that. at the start of this conversation our dear topic author asked ideas how to get fights in a 24 hours players traffic i answered based on what the author asked he asked for spaghetti bolognese i answered how to get spaghetti bolognese and a couple of persons started to throw rocks at me as if i am some demon that needs to be punished the guy, the author made a question how can we have fights he didnt ask how to fix this whole outdated mess that is named World vs World why i say that? because these are the lines of how far we are in topic so we can understand when we go offtopic or sidetopic offtopic is completely unrelated sidetopic is somewhat related to fights but the main problem comes from elsewhere now about the side topic "how to fix whole wvw" and the side topic "alliances will not fix wvw" "ranking up and down each player based on solo performance" "resetting wvw score or resetting wvw maps every 2 or every 24 hours" these are not one single idea. they are different ideas that can or can not be used together their goal is to make wvw have fights nonstop the ideas are not about server pride or server identity the ideas are not about "i want to play with my buddies in wvw" of course there are some trade offs of course focusing on generating nonstop fights it will reduce content for other types of players i thought this is pretty self explanatory and extremely obvious but i will make an explanation now for people that dont understand or they forget AFTER these first ideas to generate fights i gave ideas about wvw in general i will explain them better now and why i suggest them how many times u go to wvw and people shout "go away, we want to do fights. go ppt in other map" "no. u go away and farm kills in other map." "go away, we want to afk trashtalk, go farm in other map" "leave server" "leave wvw" "go back to pve" "go back to pvp" all these rude quotes in case some didnt get the hint they show in wvw we have multiple different playstyles (as mentioned lately in this discussion) these playstyles i suggested to split them and put players together sorted (organized) each group with only one playstyle in that sub category of wvw some people overreact in very negative and rude manner believing that splitting the playerbase it will kill wvw traffic i respectfully dissagree as i witnessed this plan in other games and in gw2 as well. i give you an example wvw is a cinema park in that cinema area we have many theater rooms with different movies when I GO to watch a movie i want to see this one movie not all movies play at the same time in the same room and i like all different movie genres exactly the same way i suggest for wvw i like all sub genres of wvw i like the 1v1, i like the havok, i like the blob fights i like the ppt, i like to win, i like to afk chat, i like to farm empty buildings but what i dont like is when i do one style i get abused by another when i try to do fights, always some people complain about fixing maps when i try to fix maps, some complain for fights, for duels, for this for that when i do fights i want only fights. i dont want to chase the guerilla undercover squad that flips all maps . i dont want to jump maps 50 times to catch and kill that guerilla squad. its annoying. same way when i do ppt, i dont want to have to deal with the sneaky gankspamming squad that ganks when we have the lord on our back. then sending us hatewhispers that they are fighters and we suck. just because arenanet is scared that splitting into sub categories of wvw it will push away all people doesnt mean putting all fruits in one basket will hold all fruits properly the basket is broken. we can not play all together in the same room. and if u still think it will not fix the problem remember when ultima got split into pve only and pvp only? the game didnt die because it got split into pve vs pvp the game died because the developers didnt give proper content for pvp the problem with pvp is the developers want to force teamwork when i am in a fight i dont want to be punished for other peoples mistakes. i want to be punished for my own mistakes. if a guy wants to die again and again i dont want to punish the teamscore i want that feeder to get punished. punishment for death is to demotivate death spam not to force us to be nonstop babysitters in combat the reason gw2 pvp is broken is because it is extremely vulnerable to trolling/griefing/cheating all that because of the teamwork obsession promoted plan remember when arenanet decided to add dragon response missions and when YOU die, you can teleport you dont get punished because a guy is afk in combat if a guy is afk away, the enemies scale down you dont get punished for going into a 5 man content with afk players. remember when we had deathmatch in sPvP unranked? people loved deathmatch. why arenanet removed it from unranked queue? because some people complained they cant get dailies because in death match half the time was spent in dancing left right. and there is nothing wrong with dancing left right or stare contest. all they needed was to create a subcategory for that. that s what GvG people want in my honest opinion. this zerg dance, this stare contest, this psychological game about who will make the first wrong move. what about all other wvw people? i already said, put people in a siege mode with loot and score via kills disabled put people in a wvw subcategory that people cant attack the same player more than 5 vs 1 to promote roaming and 1v1. i have no idea why players are allowed to take damage by 50 at the same time you already saw how pve flourished when it got separated from pvp elements. same thing is needed for pvp and wvw. dont punish me for other players trolling and i will participate in any subgenre available. i hope NOW the ideas will be easier digested this time. happy holidays..
  6. i already answered with constructive feedback quote by quote to previous arguements. its really really visible there is no need to prove who is here to help fix wvw when we read a cheap variations of "i dont derail to offtopic. you do" the typical "no u" doesnt count as feedback nor other cosmetic words. now back to topic do you guys know the difference between sPvP and WvW? yes you already know the answer. players numbers. many people already said it here. why? go ask anyone that got to top 250 pvp ladder how many times they carried afkers, feeders, flamers, griefers and they won? how many times they won with 1 or 2 disconnected? how many times they had to carry 3 vs 5 fights or 2 vs 4 etc? because if your are good enough in combat you can but in wvw is beyond limits it is one thing to carry solo vs 3 4 5 enemies and another to carry 10 vs 50 the whole resetting scores or reseting buildings is not about "oh i am wxp farmer" "oh i am playerkill farmer" "i am here for the skillspamfest" its about how the game is designed the game is designed WITH pve elements the game is designed ON PURPOSE to win easier by capturing/upgrading empty buildings can you win just by zerging and win all fights? yes of course you can is it worth it? from what i see, people dont want to bother to invest so much time and effort to improve in combat and do this zerg fight spam or zerg gankspam the whole problem is the system design itself. not the players yet i see people spend so much energy to hate eachother while what needs correction is the system. not the players. you will always have players that are underperforming in fights in sPvP when you see someone feeding too much or instadie it means some player's combat performance is too low for this rating doesnt mean this player is useless or cant fight. he just hit his limit. he doesnt know how to outperform this enemy team. maybe this player is getting farmed by platinum 3 players doesnt mean he is not good vs gold 3 vs silver or bronze players when you see him feeding, u see him in a fight vs platinum 3 players similar way players win or lose in wvw too what makes me dissapointed and tired is i see people disrespect eachother for doing what the system is designed for anyone that followed and joined my squad long enough when i lead he heard me saying again and again the following that wvw should have been split into siege mode and fight mode because putting people that want to play wvw with siege and buildings and teamscore based on map coverage putting these people with people that want to do fights, dance in long intense massive battles 50 vs 50 like a real war fantasy not one shot gank instadie instarally spam putting these 2 opposite factions in same mode is wrong i said ingame multiple times there should be one wvw mode, that all buildings score all siege all map coverage score is disabled and in this mode you win only with kills pure fight mode. and yes open keeps and towers with normal weapon skills or just delete the doors and let people play for fights only in the other wvw mode , all kills, finishers, should be disabled and win only via siege and map management earn score only via maps and siege. not kills. and let people choose which wvw style they prefer, fight only or siege only i am tired of this 10 years long drama [ fights vs maps ] give to each faction the mode they deserve without forcing them to hateeachother and ban eachother for griefing or sabotaging or spying etc and there should be a chatfight mode so all the people that like to afk hatespam or chatfight they go there and throw everything they got in a more meaningful way dont put wolves with tigers to eat the same food give to each group the food they deserve.
  7. thank you very much scureuil.4052 for your effort to work on a rough idea and try to adjust it so it can please more wide audience the reset timer is not set in stone, can be every 2 hours or every 24 hours no problem i suggested every 2 hours because when people go online and see their team is losing or all maps are lost, they dont even try to fix wvw for their team but if all maps are reset or some other way to reduce the snowballing effect people will have higher morale and hope to fix they feel their time will not be wasted to fix this mess thank you SweetPotato.7456 for highlighting one of the things i tried to explain this is one of the dilemmas about wvw some people want balanced wvw siege mode match ups some people want balanced fights without bothering about weekly score some people want to play wvw as an open world pvp with freestyle fights and ganks, like old school pve mode (lineage 2, ultima, etc) please do not put shame on yourself real life needs are priority you have to go to work and earn money to pay your bills. there is no shame for not having enough time to study the game thank you for giving a constructive way that you represent people that have limited time and during that limited time you try to offer the best you can. not run against walls or similar tactics which i already mentioned earlier i do NOT put shame on wall autorunners they also have limited time its just against gw2rules. i dont make the rules. sadly instadie in fights again and again which can be labeled as feeding is not against the rules. as i said i dont make the rules. thank you mariyuuna.6508 for your nicely constructive feedback sharing your experience from other games the sad part is arenanet has very small funds they are scared to cut off content from pve to save working hours because with the big negativity and terribly outdated wvw mode they think they will waste funds for another drama incident maybe if we show to gw2 devs we promote and support some idea that is cheap to develop and has high chance to succeed maybe gw2 devs will be less scared to implement changes to wvw i am open to any constructive suggestions :)
  8. i respect this quote because it shows proper expression of arguement but sadly it does not mean this opinion is the law and everything else said by others is automatically wrong. it also does not mean everyone else that reads but does not talk they must automatically belong to the law just because they dont talk loud to argue i said a few ideas. i never said activate every single change i said without optimizing synergy with the already existing older system they were ideas, not fully developed plans. like "hey lets go for beer" you wait what people think. if people agree, you expand the plan to see if it synergizes further "but the bar you like is too far or has too much road traffic to get there" you alter the plan "but i dont like the music there" you alter again and again and then if all alternatives fail then you reject a plan this quote is very misleading as fact to defend the below statements just because there is 1% chance my post among 10.000 forum posts that god knows if any game developer will ever read in this immense flux of forum posts every day does not mean it will happen. reminder this is not game developers room is one of the 10.000 or 100.000 forum posts that sadly it might hit the floor as dead as every other far more impactful post that was writen by far more passionate people another misleading quote everything has some issues. there is no perfect system everywhere there are exploits in every system its not spvp issue and spvp is not the dark example to avoid do not ignore the part i said "i mentioned sPvP because its the only one in GW2 with performance rating" "if there is a rating for world boss kills i would have mentioned that instead" why? because to balance fights you need to also balance team performance and hit equal win ratio for all teams because you want same number of players with same total player performance per team equal players online with equal win ratio per team this needs one hell of a rating system to adjust all hours and all players. and if people lose they go offline or they go to pve this makes wvw matches one sided for the rest of the day or the rest of the week reseting and rebalancing team activity and team combat performance its far easier than avoiding the reset of wvw score often and avoid ranking up/down players to match all players that MAYBE are online after they lose. at least i suggested some ideas. you didnt resolve anything at all. and i understand why a lot of players have multiple paid accounts why? because they dont want to waste gems every 2 months or every week (incase the server is really against his gameplay and he has to transfer earlier than 2 months) is this evil? no. as i said people use anything to exploit a system its fundamendal part of progress if a system is not exploited, people dont correct it they get lazy and ignore it. why people use alt accounts? because arenanet monetized a simple "taxi to a new instance" function which is already for free in pve but its gated by ludicrous gems per player for wvw anyone remember when pve instances were locked? before pve megaservers update patch? it was a mess. same mess wvw is right now this is a proof a lot of wvw mess originates by [instance taxi function] monetization but megaservers , gems transfering and etc are offtopic please.. too dramatic.. put some sugar :) i already explained, you cant fix a problem by rejecting everything you cant fix an engine by opening all engine parts you examine the engine part by part you study your findings and you do adjustments you test some, keep the best, scrap the rest, repeat its called trial and error method please... too dramatic... use more sugar in your coffee :) if you think my idea never hit the game developers discussion table then you have very low opinion about gw2 devs intelligence as i already mentioned a lot of the problems exist because each time they try to change something the owners of multiple accounts get angry and rage vs arenanet because they paid 150 or 300 euros for 5 or 10 alt accounts to have access to all wvw servers and avoid paying gems every 2 months these are what they call "money whales" and these "money whales" are big part of the gw2 funds if these big money pockets go away, its massive financial damage for the company this is the dilemma anyone remember before 2016 when they banned 1000+++ accounts for exploits and all these "hackers" raged in youtube? remember how much social damage they did to the company? the problem does not originate from sPvP sPvP is one of the results. not the problem itself exaggerating again... man... please more sugar in coffee.. the nonregular wvw players that only play wvw for gift of battle are part of the side effects of unbalanced system. and these players sadly are part of the daily zerg fights because you can not do fights without them there are always nonwvw and nonpvp players that instadie and rally enemies and make you lose fights just because everything is related it means we gonna talk about gift of battle in this topic that is about fights? you wanna talk about gift of battle here? no? why? it affects fights when it brings casuals to die and rally enemies.
  9. main topic is about fair fights. i didnt create the topic for people that didnt understand or didnt read it i suggested pvp tournaments as an example i suggested pvp ranked solo queue as an example because they use mmr per player or team score point system to match each team based on performance i never ever said make wvw like pvp. if performance rating system exists for world boss farming i would have used world boss rating system. we only have sPvP for reference no matter if sPvP is butchered or full of bots and multibox farmers all that is offtopic and another story to discuss elsewhere so... fair fights :)

  11. shorter simpler answer for this here is the extremely oversimplified and generic short rough version of the previous answer i posted make wvw like pvp tournaments. reset every 2 hours make wvw population like pvp ranked solo queue rank up or rank down each player. not bandwagon 50 man zergs per server thats the shorter simpler explanation of everything i said in previous post. it will not happen but who knows ^^
  12. there was a solution to fix this for 10 years but the solution is not profitable and arenanet does NOT have big enough funds to pay employees to recode all wvw what solution? simply every 2 hours reset all servers and rank up and rank down each player EXACTLY like sPvP ranked system but in the open world mode called WvW YEARS ago when gw2 started we had FOUR mode names incase you didnt know or u forgot open world pve (all current big squad sized pve maps) open world pvp (current wvw) closed pve (all 5man pve maps - dungeons/fractals) closed pvp (current pvp that is called sPvP) THIS is why we HAD crafting stations and we paid gold to upgrade towers and keeps but a lot of players that like to optimize their gameplay even if their gameplay hurts others they used wvw to afk crafting BLOCKING wvw map queues and we had empty maps because we had 20 afkers crafting at spawn stations the only reason wvw is low priority mode is because its extremely exploitable autorunning bots vs walls 10 alt accounts afk to block queue and force enemy team lose spy enemy commander alts pull EWP on purpose lose match up to get easier more unskilled and less populated enemy zergs next week and win fights easier ALL that mess can SORT OF be fixed IF arenanet resets and REorganize rank up rank down all players BASED on their performance every 2 hours will that happen? no why? because people complain they dont want to solo queue in wvw they want to ride the static squad and have easy way they play wvw because they DONT want to deal with ranked sPvP solo problems they want to play with the people they like with same goals and same mindsets
  13. yes it is a bug. i tested for more than 40 ingame hours of fishing (not afking) in multiple maps with more than 20 of these hours in ember bay. i tried multiple combinations like different lure or different food (in case the bug is triggered on these) i tried with no food or no heart vendor tip ( +50 fishing) i tried restarting and reparing client i tried a lot of more things. the bug has a consistency of being activated when the following criteria are met for ember bay when its night time, all fishing holes have drop rate 90% of green fish Redtail Catfish [&AgF5egEA] when day time, all fishing holes have drop rate of 50% of yellow fish Geyser Batfin [&AgEreQEA] this means during daytime the you can loot fish as intended but during night with 10% chance is very difficult to get for example Scorpion Fish [&AgHafAEA] which can be looted ONLY during night in ember bay for the ones that disagree i have screenshots and video recordings of me fishing 500 greens Redtail Catfish with 99 skiff fishing stacks and 875 fishing power. the bug does NOT happen in all maps. and it happens usually when you have more than 25 stacks of fishing party AND night time. does not happen day.

Karagee.6830 i like your idea [to rework an older converter into more efficient function converter] please talk a bit more to share a more detailed view of your vision/plan the following text is NOT targetted against Karagee.6830 nor against anyone else. it is just a very compressed sum up of game company content design decisions factors and i am 100% sure my sum up will NOT cover all factors just a small push to help new people understand so they can join us to help us. reason i created this poll is NOT that i dont like so many ideas i really do like, some are really great. i have seen a lot of wonderful ideas across all forum categories. there are 2 maybe more than 2 extremely common pain points most people dont count or they just forgot. time and money are extremely "dead serious" limited when a company has very few available resources by "resources" i mean [few employees per developed content] it means if arenanet has 50 developers working 8 hours each they must take away 4 developers to spend 30 days redesign, discuss, calculate side effects, bugs, if the new design side effects can be ignored, etc etc this means every other content must slow down because they work with 4 people less for 30 days in a row. so 1 is time cost 2 is money cost to avoid slowing down other content development they must hire more people = more money and then you have the unavoidable black market/illegal activities that constantly sabotage companies each time the companies try to shut down their illegal activities, via server hacking attacks, some you know better than me how things work. this means if the desired idea will NOT make company time money and illegal activities and illegal group attacks worse and (insert any factor i didnt mention) then the idea gets the green light how all these things link with obsidian shards converter and the rework of an older converter if arenanet decides to rework for example [memory of battle converter] there is chance memory of battle price will drop because this tiny group of people that spent them in converter they will have no other way to use them but sell to trading post or use in legendaries. DOES arenanet want memories of battle price to drop? for me no. memories of battle is one of the biggest gold income items in wvw DOES arenanet want obsidian shards to be more limited in wvw? i think yes. then WHY arenanet does not create obsidian shards converter? are u the super genious and 100+ arenanet staff didnt think of it? no, definitely not. arenanet wants to give a reason for pve players to join wvw for exclusive items. farming faster obsidian shards via wvw is a reason farming memories of battle via wvw is a reason farming full legendary armor solo without lfg / pvp queue / etc restrictions is a reason the problem is the time cost for a player to farm in wvw is extremely high for a player that has very low wvw lvl investing 1000 hours to get your wvw lvl to 1000 or 2000 and THEN start to farm obsidian shards faster than pve [ karma into obsidian ] is extremely big. in result whoever ACTUALLY prefers wvw more than pve ends up with overflow of materials that were designed for pve crafting, with no way to convert these materials into worthy time investement. example i do not care about wvw ascended weapons i will not care even if they upgrade them into wvw legendary weapons. why? because for me with 10.000 wvw lvl and all legendaries this addition is too little too late 189 balls of dark energy from salvaging ascended = craft 189 legendaries ^^ (i will never manage to craft 189 legendaries to convert them) we could use obsidian shards as a currency to buy wvw exclusive items? maybe but this means these items will also need gold or other resources. i dont want to spend 100g for future wvw exclusive collection to get rid of 5000 obsidian shards in a meaningful way i want direct convertion of my obsidian shards into tradable loot/gold and i am open to all ideas if you dont agree with my ideas. to whoever got to the end of this text thank you very much for your effort and care to help in friendly way. ^^
