The funny thing about these people talking about doing 45k dps, that's against a golem that does not move away or hit you back or do anything to reduce the damage you do, all while having permanent upkeep of all max boons forever

Bit late to the party but there's literally logs of people doing more than the benchmark against certain bosses. For example there is a 51k dps scourge log on soulless horror.

There is only room for 500 players in a guild so at most 500 players from the Mag server can join the Mag mega-guild.  Based on an estimated 2500 players per team, even if they max out the 500 they will be mixed in with 2000 players from other guilds.  So they are outnumbered 4 to 1 by non Mag players in their team.  If Mag make 2 mega guilds the odds are those two guilds will be placed on different teams.  Depending on the team-making algorithms the days of permanently dominant servers are likely over.  That is not to say that teams won't be constructed from time to time which might prove to be dominant until the next team reset.

I don't have the experience to know whether 500 players is enough to dominate a match even while sharing the maps with 2000 other players, I'm currently assuming not.

Mag probably doesn't even have 500 unique active players. It's just that the players they do have play like 10-12 hour shifts.

    They should fix tiers first.

Bigger loot to top tiers so that there would be motivation to be tier 1 (perhaps also a small badge next to the name - "top 1 wvw server of the week") and completely abandon the fact that ppt is determining who belongs to tier 1. Top kill count servers should be tier 1, tier 2 and top ppt-ers should be tier 3 & tier 4. The current system is completely useless and easily manipulated. Also completely unfair. Because at the moment all tiers are mixed by strong players - guilds and beginners. It would be fair if experienced players fight each other T1, T2. Not hunting newbies in every tier for easier kill stats.

After the tiers repair, you can continue working on the mythical alliance project.

under this system bg would be classified as t3/t4 despite being the #2 server in t1 with respectable kdr most weeks. iirc some weeks they have less kills than servers in t4 just because they don't show up against maguuma unless it's in a 50 man boon blob.

Lol what? Some of the most intelligent people in history were gigantic jerks. Also, it's very difficult to remain respectful towards those particular opinions of yours. Like adding rng to cc. Also linking that clickbait video like as if that was supposed to showcase how broken chain cc is when in reality guy was playing against absolute scrubs and not even doing that much

Says it all really.  They are not 'griefing' your group., that's a story you told yourself to justify booting a weaker player that met your entry requirements.  'Get gud'.  Here is the evidence it is toxic, if that was a casual guild run  (i..e equivalent to a pug not a progression run) and 1 player was underperforming I guarantee you would not 'kick' them because it would not be socially accepted.  However some people seem to think they can treat pug players differently because there is no social consequence.

First, if it's a casual GUILD run then it will never be equivalent to a pug run.

Second, kicking weaker players that are not performing up to par is NOT toxic. People have differing skill levels, and that's fine, but if you're clearly the blockade that's actively preventing your group from clearing content, then you should be removed. I've been part of raid statics in other games (namely FFXIV, where one mistake can wipe your entire group) where there were one or two players that were just clearly lagging behind the rest and killing us constantly due to failing mechanics, but they were never removed and the static just ended up falling apart because well we just couldn't progress because of them. And I've also been a part of raid statics that would remove players quickly if it was evident that they couldn't keep up, and let me tell you, the experience and general vibes in those groups are WAY better than groups that refuse to remove weaker players.

Absolutely NOT. If I satisfy every entry requirement (let's say something like "LF 1 qhealer") and then proceed to continuously grief my group by not doing mechanics properly, not providing boons if I am a boon giver, running over people with damaging mechanics, should I not be kicked just because I joined on a qhealer?

I like FF14's policy of banning players who dps shame others.

You're wrong about that. I shame people all the time in that game for doing low dps. I've kicked people all the time for doing low dps. The only thing you can't do is mention you're using third party addons to do it. You can absolutely just say that you noticed they are not performing their rotation correctly and then kick them for that.

As for the OP, absolutely deserved.

Listen, you seem like a reasonable person, and if this isn't trolling - you should understand that if we go down this path, we'll end up removing all the key mechanics of the classes, creating a bunch of homogeneous underdeveloped classes that differ only in the colors of their abilities and the name of the class itself. If anyone thinks stealth is overpowered in its current state, I have bad news for that person.

I am not advocating for the removal of key mechanics from classes. Perhaps I should rephrase, then. My issue is not with stealth itself, but rather with how certain traits and abilities grant and interact with stealth. Namely silent scope's stealth on dodge, cloaked in shadow, and shadow meld removing revealed when there are so few reliable sources of it already. I think all of these traits/abilities should be reworked and power budget returned to the thief elsewhere.

And I think that this is rather clumsy trolling on your part 😉I agree that it is not very well designed, because the implementation of stealth in this game is the most pathetic among all games where stealth is present in any form, and the only players who can complain about it are those who absolutely can't play and have never played as a Thief in their life.

Oh I've definitely played thief, mostly s/d and d/p back in the day. I even played gank squad in gvgs back in core. I haven't played it recently, nor any iterations of the permastealth thief builds. In fact, thief is actually my most played pvp class: https://i.imgur.com/0FYW9Fv.png. Yet I still think that stealth mechanics give too much agency to the person using it and not enough to the person facing it. To be clear, there's nothing wrong with stealth when it's used like how d/p thieves or mesmers use it; it only becomes an issue when traits like silent scope or certain shadow arts traits are added into the mix.

Og... my... god! How long will this outrage continue! Thieves dared to use stealth without this guy's permission. Listen... maybe killing a moving target is too hard for you too? What if the opponent decides to run in a different direction than you expected, and that would be for you too incredibly frustrating to play against? 🤣

Lol, what a strawman. Stealth mechanics are not very well designed in this game and if you argue otherwise you're pretty much being disingenuous. I've killed plenty of thieves while roaming and haven't died to one in at least few months. Actually, the last time I recall dying to a thief while roaming must've been in early PoF.

  12. IMO stealth mechanics should be nerfed in this game and classes that rely on it compensated elsewhere. I don't think they're necessarily powerful but the fact that they (and willbender to a certain extent) can pick and choose when to engage/disengage so easily is incredibly frustrating to play against. Like how are you ever gonna kill a deadeye that doesn't make a massive mistake? lol

there is an arenanet tag spawn camping BG along with Mag right now.

you know this is my crackpot theory

arenanet looks at maguuma and thinks to themselves "this is what all servers should be like" minus the toxicity of course

    1. there's always some action going on even without a tag if you know where to look

    2. team chat is always active with callouts and banter

    3. no one will pester you to join discord or run a specific build or whatever

i.e. maguuma is a server with an accessible playstyle that makes it easy to hop in and enjoy wvw so naturally when devs have some downtime and want to play wvw their first and second choices of servers are mag/bg because they're the most active

Hills Keep. West Cata Wall. The area people fight on (outside the wall) is fairly narrow. Two groups going at it. By your thought pattern, every member of the attacking force will be watching explicitly for an enemy to run to the cliff to do a jump pull, and have a finger hovering over a reflect skill.

Or the moment a defender who may have a pull ability runs to the cliff edge all the attackers scatter to over 1200 range from that person?

Yes to your first question, but it doesn't necessarily have to be a reflect skill. You can dodge/block/stability the pull. If you have fast enough reaction time you can stunbreak mid pull too.

No to your second question. Just cc or kill the guy who's gliding or running the the cliff. The only exception is if they're in stealth in which case yes, you should die.

Perfect, little steps, lets start to have them to target the commander, no guild name no guild tag. you will see wvw become a better place.

Absolutely not, this would be a step backwards. If anything ANet should be promoting guild play.

It will solve the problem if you cant see who is the enemy + visible tag. is easy to understand, visible tag + no guild name/tag = no more "gvg" ppl will follow tag and enemies are unable to know who is the "gvg" partecipant and who is not, this solution will self-moderate the wvw with time. will kill the gvg problem.

If tags are forced to be visible guilds will just no longer run the tag. They'll just target marker the commander like the old days. If people don't want to play with you they won't.  GvG is not a problem. People like you are.

you are entitled to your feelings but I find this disheartening. Remember, your opponent/s...the same way you are putting effort into your gameplay, they are also putting effort into their gameplay.

The difference between you and them is; (don't take it personal), you are using a Toxic design mechanic, to suddenly end their effort in being successful.

Effort is the issue here and this is why WvW and PvP population is declining with no end in site...Effort are being 'cut short', not by learning skills but my Toxic Designs.

Instead of Anet minimizing Toxicity in their designs to encourage players efforts,  they increase it...... and finds it funny

In addition to this, Anet implements a Controlling Totalitarian Philosophy, 'to keep the players in check' , 'to keep the players in line', 'use Toxic designs to succeed instead of purring in effort- the game our way without efforts'  to punish the players efforts.

Anet Master Plan is; Toxic Philosophy

'Toxicity is about control, abuse of power and 'cutting short' efforts, using manipulative oppressive tactics to gain unfair advantages, using exploitive strategies to 'take the easy way out'....

"Consequences don't care about the decision making process that led you to them"

Anet Master Plan is facing backlash with no end on sight.  Consequences has now on a equal Mutual Agreement with Anet

    Now that is call Fair!!

it ain't that deep. this guy is just a master at pinsniping. personally i find it hilarious that this one guy is outplaying entire zergs by screwing over the commander. lmao

Some bosses are super cheap and can stun lock you if you are unlucky.. Its a large reason i avoid Raids and lesser so Fractals.

I don't recall a single time in raids where I've been chain stunned. Everything is avoidable and even if you get hit it's usually just a one stun only, far from "stun lock".

  19. Undocumented change in the patch notes where the skill no longer does 50% more damage to boonless foes but instead gives crit chance (lol) and 50% extra damage on dagger skills for a short duration after landing f1

Edit: skill also seems to be bugged, if you cast it without full adrenaline it doesnt actually hit either?

Edit 2: I was talking about pve only and yes I am aware it didnt give 50% damage to boonless foes in pvp/wvw

First of all, I will not be addressed as "Dude"

Why don't you try the build and comeback and tell me  if it "hitting a non moving golem" and "PvP forum"

Also, did you know that Anet balance Profession stats around Raids?

Did you also know that, what happens in Raid performance, effects all game modes

    I highly doubt so...

Dude, you're wrong. PvE balance is completely different from WvW/PvP balance.
