WoD nerf shows how the Devs want to perpetuate this endless cycle of boonblob. There are so very little boonstrips and corrupt and even less with this nerf. Boons are applied faster then it can be stripped or corrupted I don't understand why this warrant a nerf. Even before the nerf WoD wasn't so broken to a point where you can start zerg busting blobs.

I agree scourge should get 10 target big shade back with 10cd charge cd along with all the nerfs to its damage reverted

WoW used to have an issue like this where anyone wanting to do a mythic+ dungeon had to raise and be prepared to have their "rating" checked on a third party website, in this case it was raider.io. On one side were people who said that it was necessary to see the score because m+ dungeons at least on higher keys are pretty challenging content and you don't want to bring people who have no clue into them. On the other side people were mad that content was being gatekept by said website and people using it. So finally Blizzard just made their own in game rating for completing m+ dungeons and now it shows to anyone creating groups or queing up what the other persons m+ score is for the dungeon being prepared for.

So long story short if people think this is an issue just keep bringing it up to Anet and they might actually do something about it.

    There's already a website for this for GW2. It's called killproof.me

Honestly. I'd be very interested in seeing a stream or uncut video of anyone claiming to do >5 consecutive successful runs doing successful PUGs back to back around peak time.

Seen lots of claims but those seem to be quite far off of the experience of others. Some context for education. Where we can see everything from which LFG groups to join over the prep work and explanations to how a successful pug beats the boss.

    Would be very interesting!

I record/stream every run I do. I only do it once or twice per day, though. So far since the 15th patch I am 13 successes and 1 loss (they probably broke Soo-Won again after the patch on the 29th. I am 1-1 on the current patch.) My last 4 streamed vods are Soo Won successes on my twitch @ https://www.twitch.tv/hello_ruru and my last 2 recorded runs are

https://youtu.be/L2n4enX7T2A (unorganized 50 man squad, commander didn't bother doing subs)

    and

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lp25UbmePuA. (from an hour ago, after the 29th patch)

I don't stream/record the LFG part but this is how I do it in order of priority:
    1. Squads asking for quickness/alacrity are the first squad I'll join if there's multiple on LFG.

    2. Squads that just say "de meta" are the second I'll join.

    3. Kp/li groups are the last I'll join, because generally they'll run the NEXT timeslot over while organizing in arborstone and I'm not going to wait for the next slot.

Coincidentally, Deimos is one of my favorite fights both visually, thematically AND mechanically. I usually play puddle kiter. Raids are really underappreciated in the cohesion department, which is one of the reasons I'd want to see more of them.

They're satisfying, and not just for pure gameplay reasons.

Careful, if you even MENTION raids you're going to get confused reacted by the masses.

  5. I've succeeded the last 12 metas I've attempted with the first group I could join on LFG. In fact in the latest run the squad commander took the time to explain mechanics but did not ask for quickness/alac and didn't do subgroups either.  We cleared with around 2 minutes left on the timer. I have this run recorded if anyone wants to see it. People are massively overstating the difficulty of the meta, even with bad tail rng. The tail won't respawn that quick if you all move to it the instant it spawns.

I don't enjoy this map and I don't enjoy the meta. 17 attempts and no success yet. I just want to finish my specialization weapon which is locked behind the meta. Plus having to do the story again is boring. All of my friends who play finished the meta in a few attempts and don't bother it anymore so don't understand my frustration. Imagine wasting your entire days play time on an event 17 times and getting nothing from it.

I even took a break from it for a while waiting for the nerfs. Now I was reading people are succeeding more than failing but that doesn't seem to be true. How are so many people still wiping to the initial attack?

I've succeeded on the meta 10 times in a row now. If you look for squads opening up ~70 minutes before the meta starts (when all the current metas are ending) you'll have a better chance of finding a squad that succeeds. You just need to get on the map and you can afk/do events until the meta starts. This is a squad I joined at around 3:50 pm EST today https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1438731549. Pretty smooth clear with no real breakbars.

Not all, but an enormous majority, a majority so large that the ones who aren't full of idlers and leeches aren't statistically relevant. I challenge anyone to--solo--pug the event 10 times without using streamers or posted gatherings to help and report on their findings. I guarantee that most won't see a single success, and of those who do it will be 1-2/10.

I am now 2 for 2 on metas (ones that didnt bug out at the start at least) attempted after the march 15th patch. Both with random groups in LFG too. The second run we only had 1 real cc bar, too.

So I saw this post and decided to hop into the first LFG DE meta i could get into. This was an entirely pug group (commander did set up a discord though, didn't join) Currently I am 7/8 clears and in around 20 attempts. This is how it went:

35-40k is against a boss that stands still and allows the raid to continuously DPS while receiving full buff uptime in a fully organized squad.  Against a boss that has lots of invuln phases and where players get removed from the fight by bubbles/whirlwinds, etc. and where you have to continually run from one side of the platform to the other 7k DPS might actually be a pretty high bar.

The other issue is that the lower the total DPS of the group, the more these factors compound.  You might be a pro capable of 40k DPS in a raid, but if your open world squad is taking too long your DPS is going to be garbage because you don't get to spend much of your time applying it.

people literally drop 50k+ on the first 100-80% and you're telling me 7k dps is a high bar

Umm. I actually have played it. I have played FF14 since 2.0, but I still enjoyed the story. So, in my opinion it does not feel that way at all. The main characters have been in development since LWS1, so to me, I got emotional with the end because I have grown attached to them like I did with my FF14 counterparts.

My gripe is not about the mainstay characters, it's more about the newly introduced characters. There is little to no development for them so it's really hard to care about them. Also, it's awesome that you enjoyed the story and all, but that still doesn't excuse the fact that EoD is pretty much just Endwalker in the guild wars 2 universe, and also a quarter of the length of it's FFXIV counterpart. I know I'm not the only one with this sentiment.
