Is it really so difficult to spam evade chain when you see giant signets above a warrior's head and they turn into a fire engine?

    This person is spitting facts.

A warrior using Gun Flame is one of the most telegraphed things I've ever seen. I don't see how somebody isn't able to dodge it. I can understand if it's within a blob fight, where there are many players and it's easy to get lost, but in regards to clouding outside of SM, you have enough time to execute a dodge.

Timing, brothers. It's all about timing. Open your eyes. Use your brains.

And one more thing: a Gun Flame user is using everything to get the shot off. Once they've done it, it's essentially a free kill. So you have no excuse or reason to complain.

  2. @Sobx.1758 ty for posting my video, friend.

Regarding Gun Flame being able to pierce: I would very much like to see this skill being able to do that. It takes up almost everything to get a perfect shot off. It's basically a high risk/high return skill, so having it pierce would balance out the effort needed to succeed in downing enemies.

I also have another video out if you'd all like to see it 🙂

For those who have said that there are a lot of fails when playing something like this, you're absolutely right. Sometimes people are very tanky and sometimes they aren't. But for the most part, it is very easy to pull off a shot which is over 10K.

Anyway. I hope you all enjoy this.

  3. Treliss was one of my good friends in this game. I had the pleasure of being in two guilds with him for a few years, though I wish it could've been longer. It would mean a lot to us in [Kill], and our close friends in other guilds, if he was commemorated in WvW like some of our fellow fallen soldiers in the Mists.

Rest in peace, Treliss. I will always remember you, my stalwart brother-in-arms.

Tempest support isn't bad in zergplay, there's just limited slots in WvW squad comps. The first 2 slots are taken by Firebrand and Scrapper, and if you are running a third support per party its probably going to be a support Spellbreaker or Chrono because at that point more cleanses are probably overkill (and might actually reduce your boon uptime by stealing cleanses from the scrapper).

100% the truth. This is basically one of the main reasons why I switched from Elementalist to Scrapper full-time. The class is just a joke now.

Chrono / spellbreaker are both more for boon rip not really for heal output or "keeping people alive".Your other options are dismal: druid, any thief, support scourge (people usually run hybrid) , herald (clunky tablet).

Tempest is dead.It was already easily outperformed by scrapper, and then they nerfed shout targets to make sure Ele can't do anything the best.

    Thanks anet!

Tempest cleanses more than scrapper does, assuming you are running the right build. It also offers a glyph rez. It's much stronger than scrapper at the small scale because of that. The shout nerf (which was known as going to happen for almost a year) did nothing really to affect tempests place in zergs, it was and is still about the superspeed, stealth, and condi conversion.

No competent Scrapper will allow themselves to get outcleansed by a Tempest. It's not possible anymore, not with the nerf to
    Tempestuous Aria
    and
    Water Overload
    .

Give me some of that good stuff you're smoking, as well, because I wish I could play Tempest again and get high numbers like I once did before, I really do.

    Scrapper CleansesFumigate: 25 cleanses every 12s (2.1c/s) (Edit: Thought it was 30, its 25)Cleansing Field: 20 every 15s (1.3c/s)Purge Gyro: 25 cleanses every 20s (1.25c/s)Cleansing Synergy: 5 cleanses every 17s (0.3c/s)Super Elixir: 5 cleanses every 20s (0.25c/s)Some Whirl finisher shenanigans: ?4.98 Cleanses per second.

D/F Elementalist, Trooper Runes."Feel The Burn": 10 cleanses every 25s (0.4c/s)"AfterShock"/"Deep Freeze": 10 cleanses every 30s (0.33c/s)Eye of the Storm: 5 cleanses every 35s (0.14c/s)"Wash the Pain Away": 10 cleanses every 25s (0.4c/s)Fire attune ->Transmute: 15 cleanses every 10s (1.5c/s)Water attune: 5 cleanses every 20s (.25c/s)Shocking Aura -> Transmute: 15 cleanses every 25s (0.6c/s)Overload Water: 25 cleanses every 20s (1.25c/s)Stop Drop n Roll: ??Air overload -> transmute: ??Extra fire aura casts: ??Randomly blasting your guardian light fields with one of your 3/4 blasts: ??4.87 Cleanses per second.

The scrapper has a slightly easier/more consistent time, but the tempest is easily competitive, and better if any of those ??s happen regularly (more than once every 10s)

Nice, you're one of those numbers kind of guy. Doesn't matter, anyway. I have yet to see a Tempest outcleanse a Scrapper in this current meta. It won't work no matter how many numbers and skills you post here.

If Rock Solid got changed to giving Stability on every attunement swap, as opposed to having it on Earth and nothing else, it would be a great trait to have. Maybe buff the duration a bit, as well.

@Hannelore.8153 said:The Earth line isn't any worse than the other traitlines. They're all quite bad because they specialise in just one thing, and you can only take three of them at a time, or less if you have a subclass, which effectively limits your build.

Compare this to say, Revenant, who can trait both Legends they use. Ele will never be able to trait all attunements with the current system which means there's always some dead weight, and usually that's going to be Earth.

The class just doesn't fit well with the trait system.

Truth be told, I sometime wonder why ANet carried on the element traitlines from GW1 to GW2 while they forsook warrior's weapon traitlines.

Lack of inspiration or imagination maybe. But all the traits/skills have been watered down. I'd love if staff earth 1 stoning had the same effect as the original skill. Or if MS had original KD to justify the cd+rooting+forever casting time (and i think it did in gw2 alpha) although aoe was increased.

Knockdown on auto attack.Yeah, that doesn't sound broken at all. /s

First, you need Stoning to actually hit someone. That is a big challenge.

    (I didn't play GW1)

  9. @MyPuppy.8970 said:Earth is so kitten... 1 poor bleeding here and there, 5% damage against bleeding foes when you do barely any damage at all when you slot earth because all the traitline is dedicated to personal defense, condi removal on hit-with icd-and health treshold on the squishiest profession that already needs to be hit for auras having any use at all. Sure ele can be tanky when specced for it, but so can any other class with higher base defensive stats/mechanics.

Since earth was the condition line historically, I think poison and torment would fit as well. Maybe replace bleeding with torment on immobilize [Earthen shackles], poison on burning [suffocative gas] in Fire, burning on chill in Water line [Frostburn] and change serrated stones to apply bleeding when you do damage with earth skills. And voilà we have our cancerous lovely condition build.

Best suggestion I have ever seen
