I think it's all but confirmed we're not getting another spec, most we can hope for is just more core weapons.

Basically.  New elite specializations are all but dead.  But I imagine they'll make additions like new utilities, baseline weapons, etc.

Mirage Cloak gives superspeed. If you want to move, quickly, you can. If you don't, you don't.

Mirage Cloak (Speed of Sand) does not provide superspeed.  It only provides 66% movement speed as opposed to 100%.

Everything about mirage utilities is so good, I love the design choices they made. Except the crystal shards, I guess, but the utilities+elites are so thematically nice.

Good for pve, maybe.  IA used to be great but then it got hit with an insane 35s cooldown (compared to 20s in pve and it used to be 20s in pvp/wvw).  Right now, every utility for Mirage, other than Jaunt is not good for pvp/wvw.

    How?

You're guess is as good as mine.  But going with a pragmatic approach, they gave vindicator its second dodge back on a whim and Mirage is still left with one.  So that tells me they will completely change how Mirage Cloak works and ambushes/clone interaction if they decide to bring it back.  And based on their track record, it will be worse than having one dodge Mirage.

So let's see how things goes when May balance patch come.

Do you guys think they will return our second dodge back as a start of fixing the Mirage?

Or keep shrug pretend there's nothing happened.

Honestly at this point I'd rather they not bring back the second dodge.  If they do, they're going to completely gut the class because that's what they do.

I always wondered why heal chronomancer is not really played. It looks to me like the spec has all tools required to be a proper healer.

    Something like this: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?Pi1As6ZlNwmYNMGWJmUX5tVA-zRJYqRHfJ47s431GA-e

I don't see why this is not run regularly as a healer build... what is it missing?

The heals from wells happen at the end so waiting 3 seconds isn't really ideal.

Currently when fully stacked Chrono is one of the strongest supports. They offer healing on nearly every ability (if you use an exclusively Mantras and Wells setup), provide Alacrity or Quickness, and have a ton of boon output after the last update including Aegis spam that's on par with Guardian, though a bit RNG.

They also have access to the best group Stability spam skill in the game.

Players just don't want to play it because they've become too comfortable with massive healing numbers, even though in reality the HPS required to carry encounter is quite low, usually <1k/sec with an experienced group. For comparison, the HPS output of QHFB and HAM is 5k+on Celestial, which is why its called "overhealing".

No one wants to play it because it's the same boring gameplay we've had for the past 10 years.
