Mirage Cloak gives superspeed. If you want to move, quickly, you can. If you don't, you don't.
Mirage Cloak (Speed of Sand) does not provide superspeed. It only provides 66% movement speed as opposed to 100%.

Reading their spring update, it seems like they're going to remove certain restrictions in the next expansion in lieu of elite specializations.
-
The cc's are going to be abundant - 20s mage and 18s (minus 25% per cc) magic bullet is just flat out bananas. I'm oddly okay with this but there are more pressing matters than pistol and torch off-hands.

Rev is missing another core one-handed weapon. But that ship has long sailed.
Hammer to work like underwater weapons and do different things based on the active legend would be fun, I suppose.

Give me that teleport to target for sword phantasm.

Don't touch Roy, he's a good guy and he's super chill if you just talk to him. If he actually implements my suggestion about particle effects on dagger burst I'll send him pizza.
But terrible at balance design so these things are mutually exclusive.

I don't know of any other class that has more bugs that are detrimental than Mesmer.

Was talking about the ideas themselves, balancing of course is trash
Agreed. They're cool as hell abilities but Mesmers are not allowed to have nice things.

Everything about mirage utilities is so good, I love the design choices they made. Except the crystal shards, I guess, but the utilities+elites are so thematically nice.
Good for pve, maybe. IA used to be great but then it got hit with an insane 35s cooldown (compared to 20s in pve and it used to be 20s in pvp/wvw). Right now, every utility for Mirage, other than Jaunt is not good for pvp/wvw.

You can player power Chrono in zergs with little effort. It's not the greatest but sniping a target or commander has its fun moments.

I think we are headed to Canada.

Give me that pistol, either hand.

How?
You're guess is as good as mine. But going with a pragmatic approach, they gave vindicator its second dodge back on a whim and Mirage is still left with one. So that tells me they will completely change how Mirage Cloak works and ambushes/clone interaction if they decide to bring it back. And based on their track record, it will be worse than having one dodge Mirage.

So let's see how things goes when May balance patch come.
Do you guys think they will return our second dodge back as a start of fixing the Mirage?
Or keep shrug pretend there's nothing happened.
Honestly at this point I'd rather they not bring back the second dodge. If they do, they're going to completely gut the class because that's what they do.

They nerfed core mesmer by nerfing Vigor output and then nerf Mirage to one dodge but never undid the vigor changes. I can't speak for other classes (other than Rev), but core Mesmer traits need a serious look.

I always wondered why heal chronomancer is not really played. It looks to me like the spec has all tools required to be a proper healer.
Something like this: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?Pi1As6ZlNwmYNMGWJmUX5tVA-zRJYqRHfJ47s431GA-e
I don't see why this is not run regularly as a healer build... what is it missing?
The heals from wells happen at the end so waiting 3 seconds isn't really ideal.

Currently when fully stacked Chrono is one of the strongest supports. They offer healing on nearly every ability (if you use an exclusively Mantras and Wells setup), provide Alacrity or Quickness, and have a ton of boon output after the last update including Aegis spam that's on par with Guardian, though a bit RNG.
They also have access to the best group Stability spam skill in the game.
Players just don't want to play it because they've become too comfortable with massive healing numbers, even though in reality the HPS required to carry encounter is quite low, usually <1k/sec with an experienced group. For comparison, the HPS output of QHFB and HAM is 5k+on Celestial, which is why its called "overhealing".
No one wants to play it because it's the same boring gameplay we've had for the past 10 years.

The only enjoyable part about Virtuoso is how brain dead easy it is to play. I only switch to it when I just want to run around wvw not wanting to worry about dying. In pve, specifically raids, fractals, and strikes, it's such an easy elite to play to do damage. Low effort elites are not enjoyable.

They've done more balance updates but not necessarily good ones.

At least give us back Superspeed on dodge if it will remain one dodge.

The two second charge is kind of clunky in today's game. It was mostly fine a few years back but two seconds for what they do is regression.

Sad state of affairs when the bug fixes read almost as buffs.

Change the channel from 2s to 1s and I'm fine with them bringing this back.
4th elite spec
in Revenant

Basically. New elite specializations are all but dead. But I imagine they'll make additions like new utilities, baseline weapons, etc.
