  1. i played a TON during mini 2v2 season. I quit when they got rid of it. I can't go back to conquest. I'm so kitten sick of conquest. they still shoving it down everyone's throat after almost 8 years. I only log in for the log in reward now. If they not gonna develop new game modes, support with a queue, and keep them around I'll just keep getting my log in reward until i find another mmo.

  2. i agree, because the last few masteries released has been garbage. so gating rewards behind is a trash move. Needing a mastery to open a chest after going thru the trouble of doing the meta isn't fun gameplay or good content. Anet needs to be more creative with their masteries or just release updates without new masteries if they can't think of any good ones. I agree with OP.

    yeah, I read it. you're complaining about new players being new, doing things that new players do.

    i agree. I also hated the changes to shield skills and continuous nerf to wells. chrono, in my eyes, is an unplayable and unfun spec. Crazy how i used to think it was the most perfect playstyle for me. Now it's a disaster.

    When people say they don't want to split the player base it just sounds like, " i want to take away what's fun for other people so they're all forced to play with me in my game mode." Not splitting the player base doesn't make something more fun to people that don't want to do it. It just leaves them no other options. Do it or move onto another game. I been boring myself soloing events in Maguuma jungle until I quit. I loved 2v2 and it wasn't even a successful season for me. I'm sick of conquest. it's been 7 years of it. I"m just sick of it. Anet should be trying to capitalize on this. They should have kept 2v2 an unranked option at the very least. And anet should be working on a capture the flag game mode for the next expansion at the very least. Options should be growing. Build it and they will come. Not wanting to split the player base is the reason for the shrinking player base.

    • not-raid pchrono: ~31k
    • core pmes: ~28k
    • pmirage: ~24k

    step 1: do something about danger time. replace the +15% crit chance into core (dueling) under more reasonable conditions (not SLOW)
    • raid (DT) pchrono: doesn't need to exist
    • not-raid
      pchrono: ~34k
    • core pmes: ~31k
    • pmirage: ~26k

    step 2: update fencers finesse, maybe reduce 1s cast times - i.e SoE, iswordsman, idisenchanter, (idefender just cuz) apparently comparatively useless in pvp so why not
    • not-raid
      pchrono: ~37k
    • core pmes: ~34k
    • pmirage: ~29k

    step 3: buff (power) mirage by 25% thru w/e combination of changes (vicious expression v.1 lol)
    • not-raid
      pchrono: ~37k
    • core pmes: ~34k
    • pmirage: ~36k, close enough

    (also put the +x power into bountiful blades so gs is worthwhile)???profitbut anet doesn't listen so :grimace:.

    I have felt like some of my posts in the past inspired changes the devs made. I honestly feel like a post i made about phantasms not being fun inspired the phantasm rework. You never know. It's good that you took the time to share your idea, because they made read it and think "this makes sense"

    i had been core s/s & s/p from beta till HoT. Then I was chrono s/s & s/p until the release of PoF. Since PoF I've kept the same exact weapon set up as a mirage. And it is definitely not the same. The playstyle of sword mirage vs sword core mesmer is drastically different. I'd actually say sword mirage is very much like Sword thief. Uber mobility and access to shadowstep utility, teleports, and a flip backwards. Definitely a HUGE difference. If you're a ranged player, I guess you wouldn't be taking advtange of all mirage's mobility so it would feel the same. But in my hands the core vs mirage is like night and day.

  10. Just making a request for clones sword ambush attack to do actual scaling damage based on the player's power stat in PvE only. It would just be more fun for people like me that greatly enjoy main hand sword mirage in a pve environment. And an alternative to chronomancer's ability to summon double phantasms. It's all a numbers game. You can adjust the numbers to a competitive level. But as it stands, the daze is awesome, but it would be nice if the attack did more than pet the head of the monster i'm fighting.

    In addition, can you make Nomad's Endurance, (vigor grants +150 condition damage), grant either +150 Condition OR Power, based on whichever stat is highest for the player at any given time. Would love to take my power mirage into raids.

    I've stopped raiding entirely because I can't enjoy chronomancer anymore. Condi mirage is awesome. But with these changes, maybe Power mirage can be equally awesome in a PvE environment.

    i actually think the legendary armory will give greater value to have legendaries. it doesn't take away the value from them.
