We veterans had up to 11 years with our gen 1 legendaries. Who cares if a fraction of them are slightly less grindy to obtain now?

This is super normal (and healthy) for all online games. Taking time away helps you feel like you're not wasting your time doing something you're not really enjoying, and when you get the itch to come back, it feels really fun again. I come and go from GW2 (and several other games) all the time.
