So projecting your own lie onto me?
Ok.
Just today on EU prime time I've been to pretty much ALL F2P maps farming hero points for an alt.
There's "population", I guess.
Nearly every event was deserted, or a lonely guy was running it then ran away when I joined.
Clearly relieved somebody else was finishing it for him. Which I did as I'm a 🫶guy.
Quite frankly it was a lonely 💩show.
And what population have you expected to see ? I started to play 5 years ago and core maps ( aside maybe from Orr ) never had many ppl there.
As for your experience - here is mine. Recently I played on my lvl 70 or so asura elementalist and while running from story point A to story point B I decided to stop and participate in random bridge defence event in Lornar Pass. And you know what ? In 1-2 minutes 2 people joined me and we had 3 ppl doing useless event with trash rewards in 11y.o game on core map. I think this is pretty much incredible. But you do you I guess.

I am conflicted on this. I did one gift of battle ( for Bifrost from leg box but decided not to make it in the end ) it took me a whole day ( not a most efficient approach or time usage I know ) and it was not that horrible. I even enjoyed some of the battles. So on the one hand I was kinda forced into activity I don't like but on the other hand I wouldn't want Li to be moved from raids into VW or WvW. So I guess it should stay as it is.

Drizzlewood is still the most rewarding map in the game. SotO metas are < 3g/hr and if you don't need legendary armor they're never worth doing outside achievements/collections.
Rifts offer zero rewards if you don't need legendary armor.
SotO strikes are 5g/week(lol).
Yes-yes , aside from Storm's weapons still being 17g for 1 meta.
But dunno why I even bother...

Tangled Depths is the best map this game has to offer.
Don't lump it together with New Kaineng

Yeah, that or have them drop some T2/T3 motivations. People lack motivation to obtain motivations. Most people are riding off of other players. Might as well as give players the resources to reduce the burden on one player to carry around motivations.
I mean why bother with motivations if raid armour is 100 times easier and more fun to get ?

Precisely. Good and bad are almost always subjective metrics, not objective ones.
Not really. There are certain OBJECTIVE criteria that can be applied to any piece of media or entertainment Like story flow , character dynamics , underlying idea , technical details ( camera angles , light and so on )
For example Terminator 2 is OBJECTIVELY good movie ( regardless of your opinion ) just like Tremors 5 is OBJECTIVELY mediocre at best ( even though I like it )

"not a bad design choice by any means" is a statement that could objectively be true only if there was absolutely no factor by which someone might consider any element of that design to be bad. Since there are cases like that, it cannot be objectively true.
(also, generally, "good" and "bad" are practically always subjective, not objective statements, because they are always tied to hidden qualifiers saying for whom they are good or bad).
That finishes my short explanation on Logics basics, and the meanings of the words "objective" and "subjective". No need to thank me.
I appreciate the attempt but your underlying premise is completely wrong because according to it every game that exists is bad because it doesn't allow me to play rainbow elephant with 8 legs and giant wings.
You can consider WV "not as good" as previous system. But it certainly not "bad".

Since there are cases (and people) for whom it is a change for the worse, you are objectively wrong.
There is always people complaining about any change as I said.
It's not an objective metric. For example I keep complaining that forcing elementalist to play with melee weapons is bad design because I want to get my classic wizard fantasy. But I don't think it makes elementalist class design objectively bad.

This Wizard Vault has already cost the game players. It doesn't matter if you as an individual like it or defend it when people are quitting over it. It means it was a bad design choice they put in on purpose while listening to no feedback.
It's an MMO. Here people will complain and quit because of ANY changes. Objectively Wizard Vault is not a bad design choice by any means.
Also they did listened to feedback and added 5th option to daily tasks so we can skip now those stupid mini dungeons.
6 hours ago, Gorem.8104 said:Whose replacing all the people that are quitting as you cheer for these people to quit because they want the game to improve and be in a better state as they know it could have been?
Oh common , stop pretending like people are quitting en masse because of WV or something.

1 core map with daily events was replaced by many maps with weekly rifts.
Orr was packed the over day - people were doing temples.
So I am failing to see how new expansion made it worse for core maps

I just did this meta with a highly coordinated squad. We failed. My guild leader stated that she's done this meta repeatedly and has *never* seen it succeed even with many, many coordinated squads.
Aaaand it didn't award the 'completion' required for the weekly because we didn't win, so that was a few hours completely wasted.
I failed maybe 2 times total
"never" seen it succeed ? Cmon this has to be a bait or troll post
Also DE is the only one meta that can be at least somewhat challenging. Leave it as it is.

I didn't get a single high roll in 5y.
No teq horde , no drakkar horde , obviously no infusions , nothing at all. And watching how teapot got his 3d frostsaw made me salty yes : )

Is "Pick up your DPS" or a straight kick better?
Not doing anything is better if everything is going fine. In that situation comm didn't offer any useful advice or made necessary steps to compete content. They just acted like a kitten.

Then, if your dps actually was lower than that of a support class, you didn't play your role, so I'd say they were right about kicking you from the group
Nah , wispering and saying " I shouldn't say I'm dps when my dps is lower than some alac in the group" is 100% toxic behaviour and there is no justification for that.

Considering that this armor set doubles up on one of the major issues with the previous ones (having to extensively grind a specific, singular type of content you would not do otherwise), i'd say all it will do is just underscore why general design of Legendary Amor acquisition for PvE players is just plain bad, and that devs apparently have no uderstanding of their own community.
No. It will not make people that disliked the previous acquisition methods to change their minds. It will just make them, after the initial feeling of hope, to end up doubly disappointed.
3-4 hours per week for raid armour is nowhere near "excessive grinding".
But yes , they could have mixed acquisition methods. For example you get a piece for X amount of random thingy and you can get that thingy from raids , wvw , pvp or dull rifts so go ahead and pick and mix your poison

We already know a bit about it, I hope you enjoy doing rifts (A LOT) for all 3 armor sets.
Well, maybe people start to appreciate what they have already and acknowledge that making raid armour while doing even only 1-4 wings in 3hrs per week is much more simple and fun.

yeah.... because 200+ hours of rift farming for essences is such great content.
Right , it's not like there are storyline , metas , exploration , events , achievements , collections, masteries which can easily take 100+ hours to see and do everything.

we have to redo
Have to ? I think it's pretty much optional and I personally is not going to bother with it.
But yes , they should have at least removed saddle collection for people who already have skyscale

I think it's pretty obvious who is trolling here. Especially considering that you still haven't explained why people having multiple accounts is an issue.

I ask you to provide fairness. You have so many options, but if you keep ignoring the issue I won't buy your upcoming expansions anymore and I will be more likely to move to an another game
And it's an issue why exactly ?
I will remind you that you can literally buy gold with money in this game. Also gen1 and 3 legendary weapons and raids for legendary armour. But it doesn't affect other players in any way.

I haven't looked to see what other MMOs are currently out there, but I have certainly played ones that are far more casual.
I about fell out of my chair the first time I encountered an MMO that would auto-path my character to the next available quest area. The same MMO had a "training" mechanic where you would log out auto-attacking a dummy in the main city, and next time you'd log on you'd have gained a level.
That doesn't diminish your point, though. Apart from PvP/WvW, GW2 has largely been an MMO that caters to casual players.
Umm , what ?
I am pretty sure TESO or FF14 or SWTOR is not any more "hardcore" than GW2.
As for OP"s points - I wouldn't care if new players were given skyscale instead of raptor at lvl 10. It's pretty much a necessity now.
Legendary box ? You still need to throw world completion , gift of battle and 600g worth of stuff into it. And it's a weapon - the worst legendary type. So who cares ?

if 1 rando has a rare box maybe everyone there will get rare essences? cause i've gotten some already. I think they could have designed this better. but again that's anet.
Yes , pretty much. I stumbled accross some t3 already. That's why it's probably better to do in groups - 1 player crafts the thingy - all will get good stuff , then next player uses the thingy and so on.

It's literally the opposite. We have like weeks left in current iteration and I already don't know what to do with AA. I even bought griffon skin even though I don't own griffon and don't want to do it.
