With the current path of meh being produced lately I am probably only going to get EOD because of pure gw1 nostalgia.

One thing that I like about reshade is using gaussian blur in combination with Luma sharpen to make the textures less blech.Tons of shaders to play with and I don't think I could play the game without it now.

GW2 uses a heavily modified GW1 engine.
GW1 enhanced or redone will never happen, although it would be cool.
GW2 with raytracing and high resolution textures is the stuff of dreams:)
Maybe GW3 if/will use modern APIs and rendering techniques.

Necroing my old post.I caved and have a shiny new i7 9700 with a Rtx 2080 super.
I am thinking 2k monitor now at 144mhz. Since I have been at 1080p since time immemorial my kinda big question is will the 2k resolution help "fix" some of the bad textures in gw2.
Any other advice on reshade settings and presets would be more than appreciated as well !

I love GW2 I really do, but I am starting to notice the bad textures and horrible fps, even with a new rig.
GW2 can look spectacular but you need injectors.
Let's hope EOD will have some performance and textural enhancements

I loved GW1. I love GW2.
Sadly they are both starting to show their age. I would love nothing more than a high rez texture pack or a graphical update.

I actually like being in L.A. and seeing how creative people can be, however it doesn't translate to group content.This should have been fixed ages ago. I find myself not doing group content as a result.

I remember when gw2 was in beta and I saw Gaile in-game. It blew me away because I was a GW1 veteran. I decided to send her an in game email with some advice regarding a feature in-game which i can't even remember To my surprise she emailed back and thanked me for the input and the gift(i sent her a flower). Unreal. I still have the in-game mail to this day and it will NEVER be deleted.
Saw her again many years later in-game and mentioned how cool the message was from years ago and how everyone loved her. She responded again in a very gracious way.

I would like GW3 please.
GW2 is showing its age with an antiquated engine and limitations. The LS idea was a cool concept but too difficult to realistically deliver with consistency. I have found myself wondering who some of the NPCs are sometimes and I have zero emotion if they die etc.
GW3 if it is ever made, would hopefully take into consideration some of the features and ideas from the fanbase that couldn't be put into GW2.
Good things come to those who wait :)

This has to be up there with the top 10 worst patches.
Honestly, if Anet is just going to work on the XPAC then just do it, dont make us sit and pretend that there is meaningful content being released. It isnt even being released, it is being doled out piecemeal like frozen liquid karma. Back to bed and wait another few weeks to bother with this terribad LS. -
IDK with patches like this the game will become more dead :(

Ya locking a MP behind it is just terribad. Anet has a fantastic history of not being able to get any sort of rewards correct.People have been begging for token or currency purchase of weps and items locked behind obsurd RNG since time immemorial.I personally have abandoned ever getting a 2nd gift of aurene and my interest in GW2 is waning.

Start.GW3 with a modern engine. Problem solved.
However, since that won't happen i would love a graphic update. I use p912pxy and reshade now anyways since i can't handle the games innate blur.

Honestly all this stuff just drives people away from the game.I don't know wtf is going on at Anet but this last release has to be the worst in a very very long time.

As an addendum to my previous comment, i agree the runic set was well done.This type of over the top no hope in hades RNG only acquisition ALSO linked to a collection drives players away.Is there a single soul that has more than one scion weapon? Is there anyone who has 3? Because i would be impressed and offer to take them on an trip to the casino...

Gave up all hope. I have wanted a 2nd gift of aurene since that map became live. Farmed the hell out of dragonfall and i only have my 1 Wep. Is this any different?
Anet needs to think this stuff through before releasing content. This is common sense stuff.
