  1. i'm ambivalent about some of these changes. i understand that mech was overperforming, but if you were gonna nerf cdps mech, probably should have found a way to nerf power mech too, because now rifle mech is just gonna dominate completely, lol... also, not too happy about messing with thief venoms, but i'm hoping this doesn't hurt thief too much.
  2. hmm, no, i just waste half my money on GW2 mount skins, and what money i have left i waste on G Fuel tubs, lol... like, i didn't even know Uncharted had a movie, or that Elden Ring was a game, until i saw it in my G Fuel newsletter. i just was guessing that maybe this could have been a benefit to GW2. i had considered that it was possible i was over-estimating how much exposure G Fuel could achieve for GW2, since it is possible just as i go out of my way to avoid FaZe clan, yet they still have like 4 or 5 flavors, then maybe seeing a GW2 flavor won't actually bring that much more interest to the game. anyways, thanks for weighing in, it definitely deflates my sails on this idea, and is probably why this hasn't been something Anet explored by now.
  3. i guess i'm just underwhelmed by their choice of chain, i wish they had gotten something with a bigger name. one person telling me how many Hardee's by their house, it doesn't matter if there's only 2,600 world wide. there's like 5 Culver's all within an hour to me where i live, but only 144 locations total, it doesn't matter if it seems there's many locations to one person. i'm not sure, but i think your point about brand recognition goes to favor my idea of getting a G Fuel flavor based on the game, because once you put yourself on the map of G Fuel, then you more or less are always going to be there unless it sells poorly or they don't make more after id sells out, idk exactly how they decide. so far the only lukewarm valid reason i've seen so far is that a connection with G Fuel is a possibly invitation to gamer toxicity (i mean they are more cheesy than anything, but being associated with FaZe and PewDiePie probably is not great to be a degree off of association to ArenaNet).
  4. are you concerned that G Fuel brings with it toxic gamers or something? i can sympathize, especially knowing their association with LEET gamerz like FaZe clan. there's twice as many Taco Bells in America alone than there's Carl's Jr. in the world, that just seems like a drop in the bucket compared to the massive ad campaigns World of bdjfheuhjfjhcraft has put out over the years, and they're still somehow above GW2 despite all the disappointment in their latest releases. i can't hold my breath that GW2 will (rightfully) out compete WoW or FF14, but at least RS3, it makes me wanna cry knowing more people would rather play RS3 than GW2, no one would willingly, i would hope? :'(
  5. yeah, maybe you live in North Coralina where most Hardee's/Carl's Jr are, for all i know. in anecdotes, i have personally seen two Hardee's in my entire life living between 3 entire countys, one of which closed. the reality is, there are 1,754 locations as of March 1 2022. i know that Twitter doesn't necessarily count as "data" per say, but G Fuel has 1.6M followers, where Hardee's and Carl's Jr combined is 10 times less than that. they have several flavors under the banners of FaZe (again not sure if good or bad thing), Pewdiepie (also not sure if good or bad thing), and Ninja, to only name a few. if you think partnering with G Fuel is not a good idea, then let's see you come up with a better idea, that is also within ArenaNet's budget.
  6. i guess it begs the question, how much is an incidental cup at a second-rate burger joint with only 1,750 locations, compare to how many eyes follow G Fuel releases? even Taco Bell has like 5,700+ locations, why couldn't they have done something with them?
  7. because for one, this is a near-extinct fast-food franchise chain, i didn't even realize there was any Hardee's until i passed one going to Oconomowoc once. and two, getting a G Fuel deal would pique the interests of those in their newsletter, and even could have the front page for a week or so. the kinds of people who go to G Fuel's website are typically gamers, and gamers are more likely to play games, than some random person who wanted a supersized drink at an obscure fast food joint. Doom Eternal, Sonic the Hedgehog, Elden Ring, and Uncharted all have G Fuel deals, and they don't even need them. getting a G Fuel deal usually means that you reached a new level of prestige, because only the biggest names of streamers and games seem to get a flavor.
  8. idk how you reply to specific people in forums, but here we go... so, if it was brand new, i would agree that 250 gold is a little steep, but then Skyscale came out, and i would have rather paid 250 gold and do a few quick collection hunts, than the month long torture that was the Skyscale grind (inb4 someone says they did it in 3 days, i admire your patience to dedicate 12 hours a day to a single thing). considering that flying mounts nearly make gliding obsolete, i think they wanted to make them feel like a total pain to unlock, either monetarily, or time-wise.
  9. idk if there's an official way to send feedback or suggestions to ArenaNet/NCsoft west, but regardless, i think we should try to get this idea co-signed. i feel as if the weak attempts for End of Dragons to get advertised, if i had to guess, didn't do much selling large cups at Hardee's/Carl's Jr. and paying low tier DJs to, idk, remix some songs? meanwhile, games like World of Borecraft get celebrity endorsements, League of Legends has Imagine Dragons in their pocket (and granted, this might be just as much a detriment as it is a boon, lol), so i think ArenaNet, within their budget, needs to try harder. one possible solution, is to team up with G Fuel. now granted, i don't know what the costs are for partnering up with G Fuel for a flavor named after your game, but i would assume that even if there's an initial investment, G Fuel probably shares profits (if anyone has insider knowledge on G Fuel deals, feel free to chime in). i just want to see GW2 get more active players, it breaks my heart that Runescape 3 has more than GW2. i also, personally, don't think Elder Scrolls Online deserves more active players than GW2 considering all the legacy problems it has and probably will always have because Zenimax's mindset is "don't worry, players will create an addon for it" anyways, what do you all think? some sort of End of Dragons G Fuel Energy flavor, or nah?
  10. heya Ketsu, are you moreso repsonding to Ovark's second idea? otherwise, what about the First Win of the Day idea?
  11. i'm guessing not enough people want this, but here is my last bump before i let it die :(
