  1. Scepter 3 is incredibly clunky to use. It's difficult to use it effectively, but not in a "high skill cap" way, simply a "I have to fight game mechanics to make this work" way. However. The raw strength of the skill is off the charts. It's incredibly out of line when compared to any other ability in the game, no exceptions. Nothing else has such an obscene damage capability with minimal drawbacks. In the proper setup, you can easily crack 20k damage from a single cast of this skill into a semi-defensive build, it's absurd. What scepter 3 needs is mechanical changes to make it actually usable, not damage buffs that make it overpowered with zero counterplay the occasional time you manage to land it.
  2. Confusing images was probably the most busted offensive skill in the game. It deserves that nerf entirely. Randomly boosting its damage to the point of it basically being a 2s 900 range hundred blades is not the right way to fix a skill being clunky to use.
  3. A bit of context here can help explain. The reason that full minstrel Chrono support is the only acceptable build for WvW group fights is because mesmer completely and totally incapable of dealing anything that even kinda looks like meaningful damage. You could be in full zerk and be the best mesmer player in the game, and a herald in Marauder's gear that started last week will outdamage you with ease. So, you don't run damage. Unfortunately, you can't actually support either anymore. Used to be that Chrono provided boons. These days...not so much. You go minstrel anyway because then you can't die, and you use focus pull, gravity well, veil, and illusion of life as appropriate. You're basically a utility totem in a really tanky suit.
  4. Rip. Unlikely for support Chrono to be taken in PvE outside of niche scenarios. Power chrono with inspiration traited and the signet may be used in some comps. WvW comps are unlikely to use Chrono outside of maybe 1 for that required veil. Good job deleting a class Anet. Keep up the quality balance work!
  5. Interesting 6th rune benefits doesn't mean "jaw-droppingly powerful 6th rune benefits". There's a difference.
  6. I think fixing the bug first was an appropriate course of action. However, it still seems like these runes are rather significantly overtuned, so I'd expect a nerf.
  7. There's no way this is gonna last. This is pretty busted.
  8. Planning to do it today on Soulbeast. I think its possible to dodge his attacks with a combination of Greatsword Attacks and Stone Signet. If you do, can you also post a video? im gonna try a pure defensive build sometime this week, but hes frustrating as hell on ranger from what ive experienced. I plan on trying that as well altho i suspect the timer will defeat me. Ill give it a try after reset when queues will be low edit: didn't even dent him and he obliterated me. Never saw a breakbar. Awfully designed fight - worst I've seen in this game by a long, long way You have to dodge the attack (maybe blocks/evades/etc work too) in order for the breakbar to show up. If you get hit by it then you’ll never see the breakbar. I spent maybe a minute dodging and blocking where I could. Still no breakbar. Is it tied to health as well?I believe it's purely attack cycle based. He does one rotation of attacks, buffs up, does another rotation, then goes into breakbar. Takes maybe....30 seconds to hit breakbar I think. Edit: you might have to dodge that sword throw when he goes to the center to get the breakbar to appear, otherwise it won't work iirc.
