  1. Welp...I thought it was fixed, but it's back to being bugged again. Oh well, back to not playing the secondary account. Too bad it has the most progress on story.
  2. Ok...my secondary account seems to be working again today, so someone fixed something. I opened the market twice and no crash...on Win11 here. I've been running the game on Win11 for roughly 2 months, I think, and I haven't had any Win11 based issues, that I know of. Hopefully there won't be any other issues as I can't really go back without buying Win10, and likely reinstalling all my software. I figure I'll just stop playing any account that breaks, other than doing festivals, if I can, and if both break I'll go play some other games which shall remain nameless. BTW, the rightclick thing did NOT work in my case, even after clearing the cache. I did am uninstall and reinstall of the whole game, including removing any left-over files, on a Win10 machine and still had the issue. I even made sure I used the client software from the secondary account's content page. I'm not going to use that machine for game play though, as it produces about 1/2 the FPS that the new one does in low graphics settings (medium on new machine is 2X).
  3. I'm using Win11 and the game plays fine, except one of my accounts seems broken on the server side. That account is broken on Win11 and Win10. It could be that some recent changes have made playing 2 accounts on the same client impossible, but I don't have space for a second install. What happens is the game crashes every time I try to open the trading post/gem store. I know it's not the OS because I have a machine that is still running Win10 and the account is broken there too, although I did manage to get a couple transactions done somehow before a second opening of the trading post crashed it. This account seems to be functioning normally. I'm not going to be downgrading to Win10 as this is a brand new machine, so they need to get onboard and start supporting the OS, and fix my account too. I won't be buying anything on the gem store for that account until things are working, obviously, since I can't buy anything due to the game crashing. Not sure it's worth playing that one either. So, one account is broken on both OSes and the other is working normally, and both share client software. I think I might try swapping the software to the other other account's client and see if that swaps which account is broken. If that happens, that will narrow down the server -side code causing the issue. It would then be something checking the product code against the account, I think.
  4. Not sure if anyone mentioned the idea concerning shared gathering slots, but it would be nice if the appearance could be attached to the character as it currently is, but the functionality (including glyph functionality) could be shared by all the characters. I know doing this QoL improvement doesn't really make sense in terms of the monetization of the game, but it would save tons of time that people waste swapping tools or glyphs through the shared slots and make the game significantly less grindy for some. Even better yet have a glyph vault similar to the legendary equipment one, so that people don't have to shuffle the glyphs around, just select them from a list of glyphs housed in a shared vault. This could be extended to tools if the shared functionality idea in the above paragraph isn't that easy on the implementation side. Might be possible to reuse or modify some of the existing leggie vault code.
  5. I use the right mouse button to steer my character, so using the right mouse to attack makes absolutely no sense. I have other games that use the right mouse button for steering and have no problem with having the left mouse to attack if no interact is available. The problem with the shift, specifically the left shift is that it's very convenient as a dodge button, in fact very natural, but with the shift hardcoded as a chat link, no skill can be used while dodging using the shift, or rather it can but results in spamming the skill and activating the chat window during combat. Another issue is that hiding the chat UI in combat in general doesn't work for the purpose many people would like it for. Hiding it DOES NOT disable it. It allows you to be spamming skills in the chat window without knowing it and with no way to really get out of the chat unless esc works, and then you are just guessing that spamming in the chat is the reason you can't move. Chat maybe should have a read only mode where the player can only read chat and it doesn't interfere with skill functioning. This way people can read any commands being given by a commander without having to have the chat fully active. Another thing that would be useful, especially for anyone who clicks on the screen for weapon skills (due to short fingers limiting keybinds or any other reason), would be to have the option, checkbox, to disable the on-screen dodge bar to prevent inadvertent dodging.
  6. Same here, although it did work on the first one I attacked, so maybe it's a problem with resetting a state/toggle.
  7. Welp, guess I was wrong. He's going to accept the platter from me. Too bad the other part was bugged so I had to use the link above or look it up because he wasn't going to talk to me to tell me what to make, just gave me that vague line that I quoted in the beginning. That was all that he said...no name for the platter or that is was a platter.
  8. And he would tell me what was in the platter if I forgot. For this account he doesn't do either. I'm guessing if I make the thing he will likely continue to refuse to talk to me.
  9. Yeah, but on my other account he asked for the platter. BTW, he also won't let me buy any ingredients.
  10. I suppose it could be from using the same client software for 2 different accounts (neither of them F2P, both at least 4 years old), but I'm having trouble getting Seimur to give me the cooking task at 425 for my primary account. I didn't have any issue with my Charr character on my other account, but my Asura on this account at cooking 429 can't get him to tell me the foods to fix. All I get is him saying, "I took the liberty of setting up a small kitchen to work in. Don't worry, I clean up all my messes. So, got anything for me to taste?" and I reply, "Hang on. Let me cook something for you." That is all the dialog I can get out of him. He's not telling me what he wants to taste on this account. Any ideas?...already tried logging out and in. If I can't do this, I can't do ascended cooking AT ALL on my older account.
  11. Thank you for that clarification on the process. I did figure there was something manual that was or wasn't getting done. Maybe there just isn't a standard process for rolling out new skins and this is how the previews are enabled later as an afterthought sometimes. I'm always asking myself what areas are dyeable on new skins too before I buy them. I'm happy to say that the new Black Lion Chest glider offering in the Black Lion Chests is in the glider panel and appears to be dyeable.
  12. I've run into this fairly recently as a big problem. I've been trying to identify outfits I like that people are wearing but either I can see this listed in the outfits that I don't have and I can't preview them in the outfits tab, but only at the bank, or, worse yet, the outfit doesn't show anywhere other than in the wiki. I had this issue recently with an outfit I wanted to keep an eye out for to buy in the future, given I missed it the first time, but I couldn't identify the outfit without asking the person wearing it, who happened to be AFK. The outfit was the First Follower Desmina Outfit. Is anyone else getting a bit miffed at the lack of listings or previews of certain outfits or glider skins?
  13. Yep...still stuck on second cycle of achievement on two accounts. 6 chests didn't reset on this account, and 2 didn't reset on my other account.
