I'm going to avoid this whole debacle while noting that I'm not motivated to purchase anything from GW2 at all because of this. I understand, this really isn't the fault of the team. I also don't believe the answer is to match these prices, I think the problem we have here is the Steam integration - or lack there is. Games like Warframe and Path of Exile does this integration well and they aren't the cheapest games out there - still I'm more inclined to buy stuff in Warframe, because they have integrated Steam payment into their system. And I can still buy outside the Steam ecosystem if I choose to. I think players should be able to link their accounts, rather than being forced to choose. Their choice should lie with the ability to pay more. Personal input, but I'd pay much more than I have in the past six months or so if I had my account linked to my Steam account. It's evident that I'm not alone in this view.

I don't know if this was proposed before, however I would very much like the ability to show both weapons on my character, whether it looks like a train wreck or actually quite cool. Especially when a character is equipped with different types of two-handed weapons, to say a Big Giant Hammer(TM) and a Blunderbuss, the positions of these different types are actually nice enough to look good. So I believe it could be an option, defaulted to turned off, and I believe many players would like to have this ability to show off a little.

This. Eastern market is fundamentally different than the western counterpart. I have worked on titles that died trying to win the eastern audiences. Demand is unbelievably different, so is expectation. Thus, one thing that works for one market would probably not work for the other. So it's not quite fair to compare one with the other. Yet, even so this game does considerably better on that comparison. I'd compare GW2 with cosmetics-heavy F2P games like PoE and Warframe.

This actually is both a big problem and a non-issue for me. I already use Steam to launch Guild Wars 2 and I can try out Steam's Proton implementation from time to time (which does not work well with GW2 as of now). However, I would've happily spent my Steam Wallet on GW2 and I definitely would've loved to craft badges and earn Achievements - if they are to be available in the future. It's a let down, for sure, but I know the problems when migrating to a publishing platform, so I understand. Still, I would've loved this and I sure hope this is re-considered in the future if/when the circumstances allows.

I'm amazed that this issue also affected other people as well throughout the years according to some threads here and there. Everything but Guild Wars 2 Original Soundtrack Album is on Spotify right now - this includes Living Seasons and both expansions. On the other hand, many of Jeremy Soule's work has been published there, though many legendary old but golds aren't there either, so there's definitely something's off. A shame, I actually needed Tyria Reborn on my playlist there.
