I'm currently on my second round of adopting mounts. I got them when as they were first released and I just got almost all of them again. Speaking as somebody who got them at their release and now as somebody who just got them again, I'd say that everything but the skyscale is pretty simple to unlock. Playing without the griffon and skyscale is only really a problem on newer maps. A lot of the newer maps are designed with a lot of vertical parts. It makes following a group around maps like dragonfall without the griffon a little painful. It's do-able, you'll just miss out on quite a few events if you are trying to keep up with everyone else. That said, the griffin took me less than a day to unlock. The first time I did it, it took me longer. I would say several days. The collection is actually really fun to do. I recommend giving it a chance if you are intimidated by it. I enjoyed it the first time and the second time. The only mount that hurts a bit to obtain is the Skyscale. If you have the griffin you don't really need it though. You can keep up with people with just the griffon. I honestly recommend getting the skyscale slowly or else you'll end up a sad soggy choya for the duration of the collection. I think some people who unlocked it forget just how tedious that collection is. It's not that it's difficult and it has its cute moments. Sadly it's just not fun. Your fun mileage will vary depending on how you play. Luckily once you grab it, you can forget about the journey and remind yourself that you'll never have to do it again. I'd say, Raptor, Springer, Skimmer and Jackal are extremely easy to unlock. In 95% of the maps, you don't need the griffin to get around comfortably. Masteries level quickly with story progression and general play. The griffin is a little more involved, but it's still fairly simple. It's a lot more fun with a friend, if you have one willing to take the journey with you. The Skyscale on the other hand is only slightly soul destroying, but you'll only lose a small piece of yourself! It's also not required for anything if you have the griffin. You can follow groups perfectly fine with a griffin if you don't have a skyscale. The only time I felt behind was when I decided to jump into the newest maps without any mounts. As PoF content gets older and older, it could potentially become a problem but I don't think it is right now. It really depends on how Anet designs future content and how much they might rely on having older content. If it were to become a problem, it's years away still.

I hope you get your account back Natas! If it’s anything to go by, I got my account back via support ticket today. I submitted my ticket anonymously on the 20th, so it was a 2-3-ish day wait. That’s a quicker turnaround than I expected. Hopefully they can fix this issue with the website! With end of dragons coming, I’m sure there are a lot of old players who will want to come back and access their old accounts. (:

Hello there, I have been trying to recover my old account. I have two. One I originally pre-purchased before the launch of Guild Wars 2, and another I purchased when PoF launched to start fresh and anew. I wanted to get back into my original account and use it as my main for the upcoming expac. The characters on that account are sentimental to me. Unfortunately when I try to reset the password using the 'forgot password' function, I get a blank page. I've tried multiple browsers and devices and the results are the same. This issue only seems to be affecting my older account. I can reset the password on my new account absolutely fine! Upon checking online, I notice there are quite a few people who've run into this issue when trying to recover really old accounts. I haven't logged into my original account for at least 3-4 years now. Several months back, this issue popped up with the website and it was fix by a dev but it looks like its come back. I submitted a ticket, but thought I should post it on the account & technical support in case the devs ever look here. I know they used to back in the launch year! I've posted a image below of the page I receive when I try to reset password. Here's the image, (Microsoft Edge) Some info that may help with troubleshooting if it is a website bug. Not sure if this is useful! I'm not very savvy when it comes to this stuff, but some of the info the dev needed last time included this. The old account uses a Hotmail/Live/Outlook email and the new one is a Gmail. The old account was purchased and created in 2012.Accessing the page from CanadaI’ve tried different browsers including chrome, Microsoft edge, ff and safari. Tried clearing cookies/caches.Tried to disable ad blockerAttempted to reset it on both my PC and on my iPhone.Images when pressing F12, (Chrome) Scrolled Up Scrolled Down If this was fixed it would help take some weight off the support/ticket team. Nice to see a reply from Anet on this thread. (: I hope we see a solution. I'm not personally affected by this issue, but if you are able to get this far without letting your conditions hold you back, you 100% deserve to make it to the end of the skyscale collection. I can't imagine how tough some parts of the game can be with mobility issues. Overcoming those obstacles must take a lot of skill and patience. It's really commendable. I like the solution of letting your friends help you. I used to play with an elderly gamer who struggled a lot with mobility. Our guild would help her in instances whenever we could. It was always good fun for all of us.

Happy to see the raven mantle making its return this week, yay! I've requested it a couple times so I just wanna say thank you for bringing it back Anet! :D My character is excited to get some new fancy looking shoulders.

I've been using the skyscale as my main mount ever since I got it. It's a little slower, but I love the convenience. It's nice not having to switch between Springer and Griffin all the time. It can get on top of most ledges with relative ease and makes navigating dangerous maps feel a lot nicer. You're almost always out of aggro if you are flying. It really depends whether you prefer convenience or speed.

I'd love to see a oriental Dragon/Kirin inspired skin for the skyscale. Something a long the lines of this beautiful origami Kirin.

Agreed. I don't think we need any form of compensation for these future changes. We still get to unlock the mount early if we choose to do so. It's not like the content we are doing is any harder. We are playing through the exact same content people on the 28th will be going through, just at a slower pace. I'm really glad more people will be able to enjoy the skyscale.

Wow! I didn't expect such a generous change to the timegates. I expected maybe a small change to the collection here and there, but nothing this drastic. I'm going to try unlocking my skyscale before the change, but I'm happy for players who work on the collection in the future. (: I have bought almost every mount skin that's come out so far. I definitely plan on buying more now. Thank you Anet for taking the time to read everyone's feedback. My friend wouldn't come back to the game because of the skyscale, so I'm hoping this news will make her happy.

I've gotten a bit further in my collections, so I just wanted to leave feedback since I am feeling a little better and more level headed now. (: First part of the collection (Day 1)This part of the collection is extremely mind numbing to be honest. Going around the same spots over and over feels like an absolute slog. I dont mind doing scavenger hunts. I actually really like them, but not when it's like this. Thankfully it gets better after this. This part really could have been more varied. Having to collect the scales and do events is a good start. It's a lot fun exploring this beautiful map and the meta is enjoyable. The next two parts of this collection are what killed the fun for me. Having to do the same thing two more times back to back feels both tedious and boring. If we could collect the eggs and give medicine out simultaneously, It might help make day 1 a little better.Part 2 of the collection (Day 2)Very enjoyable. I actually liked this part of the collection a lot. It made me go into areas and discover parts of Tyria I missed out on. No changes needed here.Part 3 of the collection (Day 3)The skyscale hatchling is positively adorable and this part of the collection is pretty fun as well. I enjoy going around hunting things. Fetching toys is pretty fun too! The only probelm here is the extra timegates with feeding. It kinda kills the momentum. Having each main collection spread out over a few days is alright. Not a huge fan, but it makes sense from a lore perspective. However, I dont see why the feeding has to extend that even more. We already have time gates. Do we really need timegates within timegates??I haven't gotten to Part 4 yet. It looks good from what little I've seen of it so far. I'm happy to see Anet made a craftable option/buyable option for those who don't like JPs. (: The JPs looks fun for those who enjoy that type of content. I hate JPs with a fiery passion, so I'm glad I can by pass some of them. Overall so far....Aside from the beginning and the feeding timegates, it really isn't that bad of a collection. Once you accept this isn't going to be like other mounts you've obtained, it becomes a fairly fun experience. Hopefully the next parts aren't too bad. I still think Anet really should have communicated with the player base that this mount was going to be harder than usual to obtain. It would have helped temper expectations. I bet a lot of people went into this living story expecting it to be like how we've unlocked prior mounts.

On a lighter note, I'm glad to see a reply from Anet. I hope they make meaningful changes and find some of the feedback here both constructive and helpful. I actually really like the concept of raising a baby dragon all the way to adulthood. It's a wonderful idea for unlocking the mount. It's a shame that lovely concept has to be dragged down by the timegating/massive chore of a collection. I enjoyed unlocking the roller beetle, warclaw and griffon. I think a large part of the disappointment was going in expecting it to be like previous mount releases. The last few mounts were pretty consistent in terms of effort and fun. This one is kind of insane in comparison.

I agree. It's a lot. Being a massive boring collection with loads of time gates honeslty makes me feel less motivated to play the game. If it were just a collection with fun lore tid bits, I would probably be playing right now. I don't mind a challenge. I dont mind taking my time with content as long as its enjoyable. This however, is far from that. I can't believe it can take up to 22 days to get the mount if you don't have your charge quartz...

Who green lit this massive slog of a collection..... Is this thing supposed to be a legendary mount? I really really hate to complain, but my goodness. Please Anet.

It’s likely coincidence, but I posted on the last page hoping for ghostly outfit to make its return and now it’s back. :3 Yipee! Thank you! Bought me some BLC for both the outfit and the new glider. My lil necro is loving both! <3 ....also, if an armadillo or pangolin inspired skin for the roller beetle ever happened to show up. I may die of happiness!

While we are asking for the return of mount skins, I'd love to see this one make its way back to the gem store too. ;w; I'd also love to see the Ghostly Outfit make a return sometime. I'd buy both in a heartbeat!
