Okay, I'm just going to come out and say it: Have you tried to code a video game or, heck, just a simple program to solve basic problems? You're over-simplifying a very intricate process. Is what people are saying not getting through to you, or are you just so hellbent on being right that you're just ignoring facts?

xDListen the facts, unruly youth...I don t give for a 2 years cpu 400+ euros for high fps on gw2 +more euros for a mobo, who they will be old gen on next 2 years.New consoles will be coming on this year(sony-microsoft) , and do you know how many cpus they will use?8cores+16 threads and they will be working all cores at games because of newer engines. Now imagine the pcs with newer cpu s with 12 or 16 cores, that future games(with their engines) will use them .Gw2 and many other games use only 2-6 cores, and their old engines needs higher hz per core with few core and not many cores with a mid- high as the newer games-engines.if that game did not upgrade their engines are ded.So semi-learning is worse than ignorance. So okay into your face.

At this point, I am uncertain as to whether you willfully ignore things for the sake of it or are intellectually incapable of grasping them. Listen, noone would be against an engine overhaul. Everyone wants to have a better engine. Yes, GW2 will become more unappealing with time passing and technology marching on. And at some point it will die. You apparently are unable to understand that it is very probably the more economical decision to let that happen than to take on the humungous endeavour of basically rewriting the whole game. Products have a life-cycle, products die. GW2 will die and at some point in its life, huge investments will seem unreasonable.

  2. You do not get it apparently, no matter how many threads you open on the same topic. This game runs on a very old, handcrafted engine. It is not as easy as updating from an established standard engine to the next version, but probably a complete re-write. And the costs and difficulties of that will probably outweigh any expected income projected for the rest of the game's lifespan. Your rambling pretty much reveals you have little knowledge of what you are talking about, now stop opening new threads about it. PS: Linux is mostly a community driven project. And Windows' very business model is creating new versions and selling them.

You can dodge, block, stun, daze, blind etc.

so 2 hits and u die still not overpowered?

Then get more HP. If you die of 2 hits it means you have 14k health only and that's not enough in pvp. Try getting at least 25k.

okay mr nothing wrong whit 7k auto attack skill for 10 seks is not overpowered ...

seems more like mr. knows-more-than-you ;)

Don't give them the satisfaction of knowing they forced even more people into doing something they hate. They could easily put the GoB in a weekly festival chest, but they need to continue trying to motivate people to try their failing game mode and it's the only method they appear to have. All those telling you how easy it is, are just waiting there to kill you. Buy it.

I am pretty sure most people give a rat's kitten what OP does or does not play.

@Mortifer.2946 said:mindcircus oh I see what you mean. Sorry, for me system of catching fish can be as simple as in Lineage 2 or WoW. I don't really care for the minigame. I care for the fun of collecting stuff and making my own fishtank, and riding a shark =) ...sorry if that doesn't interest youAgain you haven't described the actual fishing itself. I have never fished in WoW and I have never played Lineage2.You've done a bang up job listing the monetization and rewards of the system but zero thought into making an entertaining and engaging piece of content that players find fun. Instead you have left the important part of the system to be hand waved off with a "just make it like WoW".

The bad news is that this kind of "money first, gameplay second" system isn't usually embraced by people who play video games.

The good news is there's probably a solid career waiting for you at Bethesda.

But you know, I directly wrote for ArenaNet, not you. They definitely know how fishing in Lineage 2 and WoW work. I'm sorry I failed to entertain you stranger... actually I'm not....

Then write them an e-mail, not post in this public place, your highness.

Still does not change the fact of the matter, it doesn't work properly in some story instances.

@"Anchoku.8142" said:Try swapping in Signet of the Locust and see if you get that 25% increase.

Although I have not played that content in a while,
I do recall being stuck in combat even when not on some occasions
.Trying to swap a utility skill is generally a good check whether the charcter is in combat (which would slow down the character).

When in combat, you simply can't and the triangles above the utility bar are not visible.

I don't know why I would try that. I've already tested it when reviving the dead Npc's, both in, and out of combat as mentioned. Out of combat, I've healed them the maximum amount per "Tick", whilst in combat, I healed very minor. The running speed while in combat was still 25% slower, but out of combat was 25% slower than the running speed I should have been at out of combat.Well since you did not even know how the trait works, there is a risk that your observations are wrong. That's why I suggested further validation.

Feel free to submit a ticket in the bug report section:

The devs are checking these reports. But this does not mean that everything gets fixed immediately. One of my reports got fixed within 2 weeks, another one I wrote more than half a year ago is not fixed until today.

The heck are you talking about? The trait CLEARLY Says "Move 25% faster while wielding at least one dagger." Both in game, AND the Wiki. I know very well how this trait is supposed to work, and it does not.

Quickening Thirst hasn't caused you to move faster whilst wielding a dagger since 2018.

when righteous idignation meets the facts, a lol-moment is born.

  7. so you choose a most pedantic approach to keep yourself from the easiest reliable way to actually get the gear you want (crafting is pretty fast and easy once you have unlocked the levels which takes like 20 minutes (?) per discipline, there are even comprehensive guides for the cheapest way easily available)? That's ok.

@"Algreg.3629" said:yes, you should also absolutely throw your computer out of the window, that seems to be the right course of action in such uncertain events. I mean, right now, don`t wait for any clarification or people trying to fix things. That is what immature suckers would do, right?

Really? You are going to play that attitude when people have lost money and time? Look, I think people have a reason to be hesitant to play the game right now until this is resolved. If you want to log on right now, play the game, possibly buy and spend gems, you go for it! But I know I'm sure not going to risk more progress and money being lost until I see how it's resolved.

Your response was uncalled for. I didn't see anyone in this thread overreacting given the circumstances. I don't see anyone shouting profanities, making threats or anything irrational here. The OP even said if it wasn't fixed, they wanted a refund. I suppose wanting a refund for money lost is an irrational response to you? I said I just wasn't going to play until I saw how and if this was fixed because I don't want to lose more time and money. Again, irrational response in your eyes? Should people's time and money mean nothing and we should all just shrug if off and say "Oh well, money thrown out the window and time wasted. No big deal!" Give me a break.

I'm sure ArenaNet will fix this as best they can. But it needs to be fixed, bottom line.

that is the "attitude I am going to play" when someone jumps to the most catastrophic and preemptively accusating conclusion the moment he realizes there is a problem. The rest of your post is a crude strawman.

  9. highly improbable:

    • wasn't included in the relevant region expansion, why add them with a completey different and unrelated region?
    • nothing there to channel anymore, dudes and dudettes left as far as we know, one is even destroyed
    • not a single class from GW1 got a 1:1 adaptation via elite specs
    • it has been a completely human centric class. Of cause you could come up with different higher powers, probably easiest for Norn, hardest for Charr, but would probably feel offish
    • channeling outerwordly power is already the shtick of an exisiting class
