  1. doesnt have to be more cost? same amount of cost as 1 character but account wide. Currently the only way to gain access into fractals is if you have ascended gear and have agony stones placed in them to proceed further levels. This is a barrier of entry afterall no? removing this would be better for newer players no?

  3. I mean you are not wrong but say you got legendary gear heavy for you heavy classes, what about if you want to play the other classes? Necromancers? mesmers? rangers? teef? mechs? what then? even if you have this gear set, you still have to deal with the time and nuisance of taking it out of the slots and transferring and reequipping.
  4. let me correct my self, I meant the agony RESISTANCE, and I see what you mean you gotta clear them your self until you got all, yeah that kinda blows.
  5. if you are "using" the +5 and +9s then slot them into the agony resist system it will be yielding the same result as it is currently. if you dont need then sell in the market place, or allow option to turn in those added +9s and what not to get something else as a reward.
  6. it is annoying but with the system im pitching four you would only have to do that once and the rest of all your characters regardless of them having legendary gear or not have access to all of fractals.
  7. its not about being a big or a small deal, its just a suggestion for a QoL. I personally dont want to get out of my way to buy 16-18 slots of agony infusions lol even if money isnt the issue the time wasted getting the infusions will be.
  8. well why not have a consumption buff system that gives the player added magic find and a special fractal only buff to grant shield before going into downstate with an active cd of say 3-4 mins. This will get rid of the +1s you are already holding. cost to get such a buff say will be 250 +1 infusions.
  9. Hello all, as the title suggests this thread is focused on reworked agony system. I'm going to skip the nitty gritty details and try to get to the point. I will be using agony stones instead of infusions in this thread. This system is designed to increase QOL gameplay in the game. Current system Pros: 1) system requires agony stones to be used in order to increase the progression levels for the fractals. 2) agony stones can be purchased and sold into the market to generate extra gold 3) creates a vertical progression system so new players can learn along the way. Cons: 1) agony stones must be purchased per character and placed onto gear and will cost lots of gold 2) it bars of newer players from moving up as it involves further gold investment 3) veteran gw2 players constantly have to buy infusions/agony stones to take their "builds" and classes into the fractals. Proposal of new system: Make agony an account wide system which can be empowered by buying agony stones and placing them in a agony resistance slot in return increasing the resistance instead of placing the stones in the armour/jewls. This will eliminate having to have different builds requiring you to have purchased additional agony stones which would cost you lots of gold to enter. I as a alacrenegade can go swap to heal herald without having to change any infusion stones. The scaling of damage reduction from agony can stay the same as it is currently unless changed by the developers. The agony resistance slot will be a mastery system similar to jade bot system introduced in end of dragons. You will simply place the agony resistances you have into the slots created by the system. The number of slots stay the same as the ones present in the game. 19-20, would say to keep 20 just to round it off. What to be done currently with the infusions (cosmetic/statboost)? the slots in the gears can stay for the infusions. These infusions are unique to character rather than the agony infusion system. The infusions can give additional agony resistance to add onto the future fractals changes ahead. Conclusion: This system is designed for the veterans and the newbies alike to make the agony resistance account wide so that each kind of player can enter into the content without having to have agony resistance stone of each gear piece of a different build. Feedback on the topic would be appreciated. I want to know what people think about the current system, specially the vets.
  10. heal mesmer with rifle - Critique Rifle weapon -AA after 3 attacks should provide a buff of somekind, maybe quickness, might or alac, if no buff then provide small barrier or condi cleanse. Maybe the more clones active, the more the bullet richoettes to heal more allies? -Rifle 2 is a solid skill with decent healing and low CD, suggestion would be add a blast effect on skill, its an explosion after all and the weapon doesn't have anything to trigger combo fields -Rifle 3 is a good skill I'm happy with it. -Rifle 4 is alright, boring but it does give some cc to be used as a healer. -Rifle 5 is a unique skill which is nice but niche in usage, i cant find my self using the tp function~Thresh lanter wew~ , the barrier is nice to have. How can heal mesmer be better What it does well -Burst healing, decent sustain heal with new change to illusionary inspiration -Unique utility options such as reflections, illusion of life, dome ressing, and mantras -Flexible with roles providing quickness or alac (but not both at same time, as a time wizard(chornomancer) they should both be present at the same time kek) -Aegis buff procs from multiple sources to avoid BIG THICC DMG -Might generation and fury (alltough tricky to use at first, its very much possible to prebuff or buff up quickly.) -Chaos tree synergy is really good with heal/boon mesmer -Staff AA is nice because of might and fury - good synergy with chrono Whats lacking -Chaos aura procs, only from staff 4 and shatter 2 which is on a 30 sec cool down -Shatter 2,3 & 4 have a very long CD -Elite skills have a very long CD and do not provide much utility outside of cc and ally stealth (please buff timewarp...its almost useless...) -need better synergy with Mirage spec What could change for the better: -Chrono trait Stretched Time, instead of procing with phantasm, change it to illusions for higher alac up keep -Change or remove wardens feedback on inspiriation tree, I thought ANET reduced all cd from traits on weps, why is this still here? it doesnt provide anything but lower cd by 20% and reflection of missiles. (focus 5 destroys projectiles any ways (shrugs)), suggestion is to replace it with Blurred inscriptions. or change the function to providing quickness or condi cleanse when summoning a illusion. -Buff duration of alac boon when shattered with F1-4 skills (chrono only)

Fossil: outside from the sword I can summon an enchant spell book that allows us to boost our movements and our force. This is the heart of the Temblars and what every Temblar stood for, the shield was their symbol, and the pillars were their hearts. The shield was used to pacify animal threats, it would cure ill states on allies that would be deemed painful. Commander: You mentioned Pillars a few times, what are these pillars that you are talking about? Fossil: The pillar of light that burns our foes, the pillar of life that heals us and our allies, the pillar of wrath that weakens our enemies, the pillar of chains that binds them, and the pillar of bravery that grants greater resolve and will to us and our allies.   14. I understand they want to remove unique buffs, but I personally want a rework to banners as a whole. Would be nice for it to do something else other than just give buffs lol
  15. Understandable but warriors as a profession arenā€™t too useful in group content any more. Fractal cm is hard to see a warrior perform, raids now will also be harder because they dont bring anything outside of dps to party.
  16. Would be cool to see banners being used for more than just buffing tools. I actually want more usefullness out of it. Warriors lack utility and support. At this moment they are pretty much just girthy dps in pve lol
  17. Hello fellow players and anet staff, in light of current patch notes on warriors it has become critical to increase the utility and usability of warriors in team synergy meta. Here are some changes id like to see in banner class. Please keep in mind that this is just a general idea and is focused primarily on pve only. Pve is where warriors are hit hardest, critiques and ideas are welcomed just dont be an @$$. general: cool downs exist for class but greatly reduced if player picks up the banner before cd expires. Cool downs will only be reduced for impact of banner and not ammo counts. Banner of strength: plant banner and create a rechargeable ammo buff pulse one ammo per pulse and recharges over 6 seconds. The following buffs will pulse upon trigger of skill: quickness, might 10 stacks, fury, resolution, endurance, swiftness and regeneration. Quaking banner: plant a banner on the ground cause damage on impact and creates pulsing quakes damaging enemies around the banner (dmg increased by power modifier). Cool down 30 seconds, quakes every 1 second for 20 seconds. Ammo skill ā€œseismic stompā€ launches foes in the air, defiance break 500. Cool down 18 seconds Banner of restriction: plant a banner on the ground rooting enemies on impact, and pulsing conditions on enemies. cripple enemies, vulnerability and weakness upon the target. Cool down 40 seconds, pulses every second for 8 seconds Banner of resolve: put down a banner causing healing on impact 3000 health (increased by vitality) ammo skill ā€œwar cryā€ upon activation of skill heal all allies for 1500 (increased by vitality) surrounding the banner and granting regeneration buff. Ammo skill cd 4 seconds. (Ideal for healing slot) Banner of tactics: most unique banner out of all, creates universal aura field enhancing effects of other combo fields including damage done, durations of buffs, and increased health vamp. Aura lasts for 20 seconds with cool down of 60 seconds. Unique active: other players may activate banner and enhance their auto attacks with a special buff: ā€œstrength above all.ā€ Lasts 8 seconds. Auto attack damage increased by 10%. Cool down refreshed when players synergize again. Banner of inspiration: inspire allies upon impact. Inspire resurrects downed allies while making you and your allies unkillable for 3 seconds. Ammo skill ā€œunyielding resolveā€ grant protection and aegis when activated also create a bubble dome blocking all missiles for 5 seconds. Ideal for special elite slot These are my ideas for banner rework, anet dev staff may use this as a reference to reworking the banners.   18. I have to say as a guardian main, I am disappointed by the new will bringer. I was expecting more damage out of this class with it being more mobile. However, it feels slow, clunky, and weak. The class should play around the virtues which should have a lower cd and offer more utility. rushing justice needs a damage boost or provide a buff to overall damage when casted. or at least a cc as you are punching someone in the gut. Flash combo feels odd to use in pvp cause you hit the first hit but miss the rest cause they dodge, please ad a daze or a stun on initial cast to make it more useful. in pve i like this ability but would like to see more damage on it. Whirling light animation is too long and damage is too low for it to be useful. id rather use DH blade trap (procession of blades) because its much quicker and does way more damage. I highly advise the whirling light to be turned into a aura like the virtuoso 4th shatter (bladeturn requiem) and use that light to do dps, in pvp/pve the light deflects or absorbs missiles. Heavens palm...make this faster please, or make it so that it pulls in an area then knocks down when slamming the ground as the animation looks this would be ideal for pvp. As for pve, this ability could use a damage increase to match damage on the dragons maw . Roiling light animation needs to be sped up because it really looks odd when casted. Heel crack should become stun break and a counter attack which stuns on hits. Lets talk traits. I strongly dislike the traits on this class. I'd first recommend that you swap restoring virtues and power for power. the first line of traits is boring. The class is already low on sustain but removing further toughness will make it down to elementalist level which has utility and damage to defend it self. The suggested traits make the class more exciting to use. I have no complains with the 2nd line of traits, the third line of traits outside from Tyrants momentum, I cant find my self using either of the other traits...deathless courage probably decent for killing trash mobs only and phoenix protocol is pretty much useless in all cases. in PVE you have alac ren or mirage for raids, in open world because mobs hit hard, id rather take sustain over alac. in pvp this maybe handy but even then id take instant heal over the regen. Sword off hand feels odd to use in animation, advancing strike cd needs to be around 12-15 secs instead of 20 for what it really offers...executioners calling is a decent ability but I wish it would have a riposte to counter attack enemies when hit. counter attack will damage the target for lots of damage inflict vulnerability and weakness on the foe. now we come to what the devs did right, the class was meant to be fast paced duelist, the virtues offering the movement is a great way to achieve this. I do like the mobility for this class I think its done well, I do like the idea of Lethal Tempo but I think this buff needs to last longer as the virtues have a long cd. Other thing to note, please change the description for the trait Holy Reckoning. its worded poorly.
  19. With the introduction of the much welcomed legendary armoury, every weapon has its own back story that makes the weapon special for lore reasons. GW2 has been my favourite MMORPG for a while now and I find that the thing it's missing most is the impact of a legendary weapon. I propose that ANET add a unqiue passive trait to the legendary weapons. For example: Please note that: these are concepts only and ofc there will be some balancing that needs to be done. My objective here is it add another flavour into the combat in game. ANET does not have to add any of these, their trait ideas can be more simple and less impactful if need be. Twilight: every 3rd hit applies torment, after defeating enemy by twilight absorbs health from enemy, after beating a elite mob or a boss or a raid/strike boss, the enemy sinks into the galactic void Sunrise: every 3rd hit applies additional might after defeating an enemy by sunrise gain a small health barrier, after beating a elite mob or a boss or a raid/strike boss, the enemy sinks into the dawn of light Eternity: Eternity would take effect depending on which form of blade (twilight or sunrise) will create an affect. Bolt: after striking the enemy and critically hitting, gain a small burst of attack speed stacks with quickness The Howler: after using healing skill, cleanse team conditions and grant alacrity The Minstrel: after using supporting abilities, grant up to 10 members 3 boons The Dreamer: Every 6th hit from the weapon will add confusion on the enemy, this is an additive proc to other conditions Flame seeker Prophecy: every condition proc will add a burn proc as an extra. The Bifrost: Every 9th attack summons a clone which lasts for 3 seconds, uses 3% of owners dmg Frost Fang: every third attack applies chill unto enemy Incinerator: every 3rd attack applies burning unto enemy The juggernaut: after Every 6th hit, give the user a barrier Kudzu: every 3rd attack applies poison Meteorlogicus: after using all scepter abilities, summer a small meteor doing damage unto the enemy. The Moot: every 3rd attack from moot cleanses and adds quickness buff The predator: Every 3rd attack from the predator grants user "thrill of the hunt" buff increasing damage done by an additional 2%, buff lasts for 4 seconds Quip: Every 6th hit from quip grants the user Surprise! buff giving increased attack speed and applying additional vulnerability debuff making the enemy take .5% more damage. Buff lasts for 2 seconds Rodgort: after using torch skills and reaching thresh hold of 8 burning stacks, Rodgort unleashes fiery wrath and unlocks additional torch skills. Astralaria: Every 3rd hit lowers a random skill cd by 2 seconds. Binding of Ipos: Every 3rd hit applies torment and curses enemy to take additional damage from attackers, 1% extra damage Chuka and Champawat: every 3rd hit applies "eye of the tiger" buff unto user increasing might and quickness while giving enemy grievous wounds causing the target to get bleed stack for every hit registered. Claw of Khan-Ur: Every two hits applies 1 additional stack of bleeding and poison unto enemy Eureka: every 5th hit Grants user the tinkerer buff increasing attack speed and lowering cool down of longest cd skill by 7 seconds Exordium: Every 3rd hit applies additional might and applies the buff "blade master" dealing increased damage the longer the user has the weapon active. blade master buff increases .5 per tick stacking to 5% maximum damage increase Flames of war: Every burning on enemy is amplified by 2 additional ticks, after reaching 20 stacks of burning, grants user "Wrath of war" buff and increases burn damage by an additional 2% The HMS Divinity: Every hit from rifle inflicts bleeding and places debuff "sworn enemy" causing target to take 4% more damage and grants user super speed for 7 seconds, cannot recur again for the next 10 seconds HOPE: hitting an marks the target reducing damage they do to user by 5% and grants the user "Last stand" which reduces all damage taken by user by 15% when below 50% health. Nevermore: Hitting an enemy with a staff ability grants the enemy "To your end" debuff causes enemy to take 5% more damage, once the enemy reaches below 20% health thresh hold, places debuff "Misery is your only company!" causing the enemy to take 10% more damage to a total of 15% damage increase from user only. Pharus: After every 3rd hit of the weapon, call down a beam of a light doing extra damage to all that are caught in the path Sharur: Every 3rd hit drops a sigil on the ground damaging enemies standing on top The Shining Blade: Every 3rd attack causes confusion on target and give the enemy a debuff "blindsided" causing all damage done by user to stack and copy damage within 2 second window. Then unleash the tick dealing damage copied. This effect can only occur every 15 seconds Shooshadoo: Having Shooshadoo equipped grants user and nearby members damage mitigation of 1.5% stacking to 5%. Addtionaly, Shooshadoo user below 10% health will trigger "FEEL NO PAIN" the user cannot go below 5% health for 7 seconds. affect can only occur after every 50 seconds Verdarach: Healing and warhorn skills grants the team "For Valor" increasing attack speed and cleanses conditions Xiuquatl: Every 3rd attack poisons target, after reaching 15 stacks, summons pet flying quettzal to assist in combat, last 20 seconds, affect can only occur once every 25 seconds Let me know what everyone thinks of this, if they would replace something, what will it be and for what?
