I was watching Mukluk play and his dailies are different from mine. I have the same problem - my boyfriend won't be playing anymore if we cannot do dailies together :(

I've been watching Mukluk play the new version, and I see his daily choices are different than mine. Am I understanding this correctly? My boyfriend and I play dailies together. If we have different dailies, he will probably quit the game. He already said if they change dramatically, he's out. Please tell me I misinterpreted this!

We are middle aged people with jobs and kids, we do not have time to continually check the internet for random stuff. It may not be the first beta, but we have not been playing WvW very long. I don't get what your point is here. I guess shame on us for having lives?

Hi there, My boyfriend and I play together but the last few times we've tried to play wvw, it puts us in two different servers even though we are in the same guild and we are playing in the same room, on the same network. What can we do to fix it so we can play together again?

I purchased "Week 1 Requisition Credit" but I didn't seem to get anything. How do I keep track of this purchase? It is not in my inventory or my wallet. I tried looking in release notes and the forum but couldn't find an answer.

Often I play with my boyfriend and we'll usually do the dragonfall meta, the daily, or some random achievement. I like collecting titles; he likes collecting gold. He has like over 5k in gold now, I think. Then we go offline sand play other games...

Thanks for your reply! I haven't actually applied the sigil yet. I was confused because the wiki page for weapon swap mechanics said: "If you choose to leave either the main hand or offhand weapon slot empty in one of the sets, the game will not swap the empty slot, and instead automatically use the weapon in that slot from the first set when you switch to the second." (which I interpreted as meaning it wouldn't trigger a swap because a swap did not actually happen for that weapon) but then towards the bottom it also said: "Sigils that trigger off a weapon swap do not need to be the weapon that gets swapped to trigger." The grammar on this is a little iffy, but I think it implies exactly what you are saying. Thanks again for clarifying!

Let's say on my main hand I'm using a dagger and my off hand I'm using a pistol and on weapon swap the pistol changes into a focus or sword or what have you. If I put a weapon-swapping sigil on the dagger, does it trigger at all? Or every time I swap? Or what happens there? Because there is no dagger on the second set of weapons so does it really count as swapping? I'm so confused! Edit: If it doesn't trigger a weapon swap, would it work if I use 2 daggers and put weapon swapping sigils on both main hand daggers?

I think perhaps you misunderstood the point of my question. The point of the question wasn't to ridicule or dissuade anyone who wants it, but to see and/or possibly motivate myself into working for something I had yet to see the value of. And I DID learn that there was something of value beyond what I had initially perceived.

I was surprised to find myself enjoying this part. I can't fish to save my life (in game or RL) but driving the boat around was a lot of fun, and pretty realistic-feeling. THAT would be worth the struggle, IMO.

I remember when I first started playing (like 4 years ago), I bought Path of Fire as soon as I got to level 80. I could not get past the first boss for the life of me. I was super frustrated. I think I even tried to get a refund. The advice I was given everywhere was 'just work on your build and keep trying.' It took me a couple months to get over my anger and then I did just that, and FINALLY got a raptor. Then I bought Heart of Thorns and got all mad all over again. ( 😄 ) Eventually, I got even better and was able to get all that gliding stuff. It was tough and I had to suffer through a lot of YouTube guides. It really does bother me that Anet does very little to teach you anything but the most basic of basics. So I do sympathize with people here. But these days I know that ArenaNet is never going to give me anything without a struggle. But I guess if things were easy I would have gotten bored with this game a long time ago.

I have to say I couldn't agree more. Not being able to see around them at all is the most annoying when I'm playing my ranger.

Hey, I just wanted to give an extra thanks for this because I definitely wasn't aware about the boost. That seems like a very worthwhile reason. Also for some of you to say that I'm asking you all not to be mad: I'm not. I just wanted to understand. We all play this game differently and maybe it is a little unreasonable for Anet to try to make us all do the same things. IF that's what they were trying to do. Maybe the real problem is they're trying to please too many people at once? Just a thought.

I have to say thanks for everyone for their honest answers even if some were a little heated. I feel the expansion itself was the "main feature of the expansion" but we all paid for different reasons, I suppose. Maybe if you could use the turtle in wvw it would make more sense for me to work hard for it. I will definitely get it when it's easier. I'm just trying to understand why people are so angry at each other. There's a lot of hate in the world, it's just hard to watch my favorite game devolve into that mess. 😟

First off, I gotta say: I play 70-80% of the time with my fiance, and being together on one mount is kinda cute and fun. However, we paid for the expansion because we love the game and thought it would be nice to contribute to a company who deserves our dollars. We have had many enjoyable hours together with this game. Also, bonus; more maps and story, etc. We also thought we would get turtles and that's cute too. But the 'getting the turtle' thing is a little crazy. We both have jobs and kids and decided having the turtle mount is not important. It's slow. It does some damage, I guess but we do damage separately that's considerable. So we're just gonna skip it for now because it's not worth the time. What I want to know is why everyone is hating on each other over this meta? Everyone is so angry with each other and ArenaNet. Is there something I'm not getting? Is it the prestige? Is it just so cute? What's the big deal here? What am I missing?!
