Ywhre.9734's Achievements

  1. Revenge of the Marionette achievement section was originally a Bonus Event and now resides in Side Stories. However, this particular World Boss is the same scale as Triple Trouble and Tequatl, and so deserves its own section in General. Origins of Madness is the Living World episode mastery (and should be ideally moved to Story Journal section), so Revenge of the Marionette is the perfect fit to guide players towards this content without it drowning between Return achievements. Additionally, the meta achievement, 'Master of the Marionette' could reward a title, just like TT and Tequatl do. "Clockwork Vanquisher" is my suggestion for that title. Several new rewards from the event would be welcome as well. Marionette's sword is the perfect fit, additionally, already existing rewards such as Mini Twisted Nightmare, Mini Enraged Twisted Nightmare, Twisted Watchwork Shoulder Scraps, and new variants of this shoulder skin (one for left shoulder and one for both shoulders - could be a Mystic Forge recipe requiring both left and right skins) could be included as well. Moving the public event to Open World would be amazing as well, but it would require much more work. Some new rewards could boost the longevity for Marionette event so that it gets completed more often, given the majority of the playerbase most probably got all their achievements during the bonus event.
  2. Bringing back The Origins of Madness achievement section was great, however, a lot of current players already bought Gift of Sprockets as it was always available via laurel and festival token vendors. Ascended ring from Revenge of the Marionette is also always welcome, however, its stat-choice isn't the best. I'd love to see another reward from either of the meta achievements - either a new title related to the event, or a sword skin fashioned after Marionette's weapon (or both). Additionally, I'm also sure a lot of people would buy a Twisted Watchwork Mount Pack from the gemstore 😉
  3. Spending 17 minutes on average for 1 Crystal is hardly worth it, so is spending 50 gold and 245k karma for just another 2 daily (even though it is a permanent, indefinite unlock). What I want is rewarding higher effort if you want to limit the expenditure of time and gold (which I absolutely do, Saga weapon collections have been already soul crushing). Then don’t do them. The scaling that you’re suggesting for the rewards trivializes earning the collection just for the sake of finishing quicker. It also doesn’t take 17 min unless you’re doing it solo perhaps. I'm very sorry that you enjoy torturing yourself but I do not. You're suggesting me not to complete the weapon collections but you're missing an important factor. I want to complete them. And I want to feel accomplished when I do. I finished Illuminated Boreal weapon collection today and I absolutely do not feel any kind of joy or accomplishment from that. I'm happy to have the skins (because I quite like them) and I do very much like all 3 Dragon Slayer sets. But I do not want every day of working towards a goal to be agonizing and except for Ancient Boreal Weapons, acquisition of most of the weapon sets in the Saga is very much like that. From Charged Stormcaller weapons not differing from the original set almost at all and the two months wait time in which we were made to believe t1 will be required to craft them, after which it turned out to be a lie and a massive gold sink was placed in its stead; through Volcanic Stormcaller weapons which are an absolute horror in terms of rng and a mastery point tied to them; to now 3 Dragon Slayer sets requiring total of around 200 days to complete and another gold sink on top.I honestly would rather to be farming Dry Top on-and-off for Unidentified Insects for another 6 years, with Ambrite weapons, at least I had control on how much currency I'd get, making the recipe acquisition faster and raising my chances of getting Insects by buying more keys by increasing my playtime.
  5. With 'Chapter 1: Truce', the main source of Prismaticite Crystal was the Daily Dragon Responder which provided 6 Crystals for completing 3 DRMs. You could get another 3 for a total of 9 if you had Boon of the Deep Flame in all three missions (not accounting for rng drops from CMs).Thus, if doing 3 DRMs daily with the boon, Dragon Slayer weapon collection would take 54 days to complete. Azure and Crimson Dragon Slayer weapons each require 5 Prismatium Ingots, which means it would take 177 days to complete both collections if getting 9 Prismaticite Crystals daily. The Daily Dragon Responder achievement however, was not expanded to account for the increased number of DRMs with 'Chapter 2: Power', it still asks to complete three and only provides 6 Crystals. The achievement should receive another 4 tiers of rewards to account for 4 new DRMs for a total of 28 Crystals daily, and then again when the last 3 DRMs are released for a total of 55 Crystals daily (reward scaling based on current system, i.e. if 1/3 missions completed rewards 3 Crystals 1/7 missions completed should provide 7 Crystal and 1/10 - 10 Crystals). I will gladly do all 10 of the missions daily if it means I'm actually able to complete the collections much faster than in 230 days, without spending ungodly amounts of gold (around 1400g total at current prices for Prismatium Ingots for both Azure and Crimson sets, especially that crafting the Ingots already requires a significant investment in form of Orichalcum and Ectoplasm).
  6. The holographic account-bound minis are almost impossible to get from Dragon Coffers (their drop rate is extremely low and they are account-bound so you can't even trade them with other players) so either return the pack to gemstore or make them available via miniature claim tickets, please.
  7. I'd love to see some focus on Activities. They are actually fun but neglected. It would be awesome to see some updates to them (for example Crab Toss skill 3 - "Dash" is extremely clunky in use) but also to see Living World season 1 Activity-related achievements make a comeback (the World-Boss Week could see achievements and reward - Wings of the Sunless skin - from the season 1 Boss Week, Sanctum Sprinter title and so on). Another great thing would adding and re-adding achievements and rewards for Festival Activites like Aspect Arena (which returned with Festival of the Four Winds 2018 but had no rewards whatsoever) or Reaper's Rumble. One last thing is something I care about very much - Basket Brawl. It was implemented for player-testing in August 2016, was fun and pretty much ready for release, needed only small touchups and achievements/rewards. However, it was removed when testing phase ended and was never heard of again.
  8. As for the RNG skins it would be much more bearable if we were at least allowed to choose which mount type we'd like to gamble for. As for the general opinion. I'm really tired with GW2 being 'fashion wars' and having the best looking and unique skins available only in gemstore. Sadly, it's even more of a problem with gliders and mounts as game gives no alternative to earning skins at all (I'm not counting legendary backpieces gliders as they aren't for the majority).Give me something. Anything. I don't ask for Super Cool Flashy Raptor 3000 but having at least few mount (and glider) skins obtainable through achievements or loot (meta events, world bosses) would certainly balance the equation and make RNG gemstore mounts look less horrible. I know gemstore is a must and I buy gems almost every month but having something to earn with hard work is what GW2 desperately needs.
