Looking at the map that comes with EoD we can see archipelago of what looks like flooded PvP Islands. I think it would be nice to have piece of that back in GW2. Since, just my opinion, GW2 PvP is far worse than GW1 (no Random Arenas, HA ect.), maybe it's an opportunity to bring some well working PvP systems back to game?
If we have fractals I don't see why we couldn't get the random arena maps for PvP. Could be a title. Special collection or whatever, just to make PvP more interesting, including LFG feature, so finally we can make it a real team play.
Also what I'm thinking is that since Alliances are gone in lore, Guild vs Guild would be a perfect add-on to game. I remember that some time ago there was a beta testing of that, but well, in GW1 it had it meaning. Not to mention that PvP lacks a lot of play type like Jade Quarry, FA, Alliance Battles and such.
Now, having Cantha, the place that added A LOT of PvP content in GW1 Factions (AB, JQ, FA), would be great to have at least a small bit of that in GW2. Since on PvP, let's be honest, there's not much to do. Same with WvW empty maps. I just hope that PvP islands on map are not just a nice placeholder but it could be used in the future.
Not gonna lie, but having Guilds that own a place, moving borders and stuff that really happened on map, tournaments, announcement, donating fractions to guilds, and seeing "Nickname achieved a title "I'm kind of a big deal"... The interactions of "in-game-world" and players seems a bit dry to me.
Are there any known plans for improving PvP experience that maybe I've missed/haven't heard about?
