SlipLihte.1307
Have a look at Mukluk's low intensity builds. For content, most open world metas are manageable, except for EoD final one.

DeanBB.4268
Metabattle has a list of LI builds as well. Leveling builds really aren't a thing in GW2. If your chosen profession has signets, then you can equip those for some skills with passive effects that you can optionally activate for additional effects. That way, even if you aren't using the utility skills, you still gain some benefits. "End game gear" is a broad category. You can buy fairly cheap exotic level 80 gear to outfit your character just fine (the named armor pieces, like "Devonna") and never need to do any crafting. If you want ascended gear, crafting is the most reliable way of acquiring it. Ascended also drops in PvE (rarely), WvW, etc, and can be earned through various means (WvW, achievements, etc). But if you are new to the game, I wouldn't advise crafting immediately. It burns a lot of materials, so it's best to wait a bit until you've accumulated some. Otherwise, you'll be buying what you need from the trading post. Keep hitting nodes and salvaging stuff, and you'll get more than you need. Use https://gw2crafts.net/ if you want a guided path to max crafting. There are already guides out there on the wiki and you-tube for level 80 gear acquisition. If you are just starting out, don't worry too much about it yet. But look whenever you want and ask questions as needed.
