whats the best dueling spec in the current meta other than Bladesworn and Mechanist

Hi OP - my honest and unbiased suggestion is the ranger class. I would like to also suggest fire weaver with earth shield conjure and d/d cata but I'm uncertain of the amount of commitment you have for the game mode. Ranger is a good investment for your time ATM. 

 

I don't play Mechanist but I do play Holo on engie. EoD kinda made them not as good. Bladesworn is being carried by shouts, lol, which is not very good game design. 

 

Support iterations of Vindi is good, d/d cata, fire weaver, ranger will be my top pics for you. 

 

I main Mesmer btw but love Warrior, Ele, Engie (Holo), ranger, thief and vindi

Poisonbeast shortbow dagger/dagger is good

I use a more tanky variation that uses entangle and viper's nest

As someone else mentioned, dueling specs are kinda extinct atm.  With harbinger and willbender dishing out huge dps, you really can't duel anyone for very long or you'll get +1ed and killed pretty fast.  As a result, the best option for dueling/sidenoding is w/e class can kill something very quickly.  So I guess willbender and harbinger are your best options right now.
