Party member not receiving end of quest items/rewards

Hi all, my partner and I are returning players after many years. 

 

We started doing Living World: Season1 together. Thing is, at the end of a mission only one of us is getting a completion reward (whoever initiated the quest).

Hoping we just initiated the quest wrong and there's a way for both of us to get some loot at the end! 

 

Also, sorry if this has been brought up before. I searched the forums and couldn't find any answers.

Only reason for this is if both are not on the same story step when you go in.

Maybe your partner have not read their mail before you did that story?

Shoot, yeah. Reading the mail would totally be something they'd neglect to do! Will pay a bit more attention to that next time. Thanks!

Just so you know, you can see each other's story progression on Gw2efficiency, by sharing your API keys with each other. This makes it easy to spot discrepancies when doing the story together.

 

(Considering PS+LWS1 is only ~20% of the story at this point.. you may want to consider it.)
