Dib.4612
Had it in the first game. Right now Corruptions put conditions on you which can then be cleansed at once. A better design would be to just take a health percentage. This doesn't have to be exclusive to Corruptions but can be put on weapon skills. Then there is an excuse to also buff the skills a bit. Dadnir.5038
Signet of undeath exist and sacrifice 9606 health point on use. One can also argue that you sacrifice health every second to stay in shroud, that shade skills cost life, that harbinger sacrifice up to 37.5% of it's health pool on top of the life force cost. Can't that then just be (even more easily) instantly healed instead of cleansed? Also this is just more of these "thematic drawbacks" that Necro has to deal with, where other professions just get good skills or even thematic benefits in turn. As Dadnir mentioned, Signet of Undeath has the health cost and is a easily compared example. Signet of Undeath: 900 range, 180 radius, revives one downed ally, 1.5 second cast time, 75 second cooldown, 50% base HP cost. Signet of Mercy: 900 range, 180 radius, revives one downed ally, 2 second cast time, 50 second cooldown. Why does Necro need to pay a massive chunk of health? Nobody knows. It certainly doesn't seem to justify stronger effects or shorter cooldowns though.
