Abel.8720 Posted March 16, 2023 Share Posted March 16, 2023 Hi! I'm trying to start Knight of the Thorn quest, probably years, after finishing HoT. I don´t have the mail from Warden Leide. Tried talking to him in the grove but that didn't give me the mail nor start the quest/achievement even though Traherne´s statue is there. The achievement doesn't show in achivement's list. Tried looking for Ridhais but she's not in my home instance, the grove nor Rata Sum. Tried completing HoT again ("For achievements" option), that didn't work either. Last but not least I even got Broken Caladbolg from Miyani but this didn't unlock the achivement and I have no one to deliver the broken sword to. I really need this quest to get an ascended dagger for this character (she is an artificer and I have fewer options to get weapons for her Reaver specialization). I have already waited until the daily reset and also tried talking directly to Warden Leide after completing the story chapter a second time trying to receive the email. But it didn't work. Do you have dreams of a thorn and shards of a thorn achievements? These should unlock when you first got the broken cal and gave it to the npc in home instance. I don't have any of those achievements unlocked. 😞 I think this might be a bug. I'll attach an image. You can see nothing shows up for "thorn" in achievements, there´s Trahearne statue, the response from Warden Leide, Broken Caladbolg in my inventory and you can tell in the minimap there´s no quest icon for Ridhais. She is not in the grove or any other home instance, not in the entrance nor in any of her locations after completing achievement. Illumine Sparkler.6019 Posted March 17, 2023 Share Posted March 17, 2023 might not be, but have you tried taking the items to ridhais incase somehow a step was skipped somehow. items are a Vision Crystal, a Spiritwood Scion, and an Orb of Natural Essence. its giving these items that unlocks the other 2 achievements. might explain how you had to go and get another broken sword. Yeah, you're right, I thought about that too. Problem is Ridhais is nowhere to be found, tried the entrance of my home instance, teh Hero´s Canton (where she is supposed to show up afterwards) an even the grove and rata sum. Nothing. I thought it meant my capital city. So a player invited me to her home instance and after a few tries Ridhais appeared and I was able to progress. If your problem is the same as mine then just make sure you are actually entering a "home instance" not just a general area in your capital city. For example the "home instance" in Divinity Reach is located in the Salma District area. But to enter into your home instance you need to find the "home instance" marker near the gate of Salma District. That way you can enter an special instance like the ones in missions.
