Last year they didn't explicitly label anything as an anniversary sale, they just had a bunch of stuff discounted in August and early September. This year we've got a new Supply Drop, bank tabs and character slots were discounted earlier this month and bag slots will be soon. There were a whole load of dyes at 20% off and the article about the supply drop said many of the mount adoption licences will return at 20% off soon. Possibly there will be another set of items discounted after that. In general they seem to have shifted from having dedicated sale periods to always having a mix of discounted, returning and new stuff in the promotions tab.
