Long Repetitive Updates

I appreciate the need for regular updates to the game, but it's beginning to wear me down. Seems like every three days I log on to play but hit an update wall that keeps me away, often for hours at a time. I don't understand why it takes so long, with such frequency. Logged on just now, Sunday 11:50am EST, and am again stuck waiting for over 700,000 files to be uploaded. Enough.

sounds like you have installed gw2 in your temporary download folder that get purged from time to time.

Download installer move it to for example c:\Games\

Then click the installer it will pack itself up (aka install) were it happen to be located.

I just checked my laptop, which hasn't been updated in a month, and it only had 9k files to update. :x

Downloading a new install to a created c:/GuildWars2 folder. Thank you for the idea, hoping that it works

Could have just moved your existing install?
